After reading this short story, I don't have much to say. It is like almost everything has been already said!
Being too good to someone is a mistake momentous than not being good at all. By, giving everything to one person is like laying yourself bare, letting them play with you and giving a control over you which nobody should have except yourself. A relationship, of any kind, is a relationship only when both the parties are equally involved and invested.
Here it was clear Arnav had never been what Khushi had thought him to be, even from scratch! It was clear from the moment when after his break up he even ignored Khushi. Khushi was always altruistic whereas he downright selfish. How on earth was this relationship even expected to work? And, the collapse was anticipated and inevitable.
Unrequited love has only ever done damages and this story is an example. It would only be prudent for Khushi to move on and forget him as a bad dream.
I have no words for Arnav. He could not respect friendship, the very basis of almost every relationship and he says he is pining for his lost love? He is playing double-standards so shamelessly. Seriously I am not wasting my time talking about that guy!
If nothing else, this story teaches us to chose the people we bond with wisely! Giving yourself away too much is almost fatal and jerks will always exist on this face of earth.
Ananya, all my thoughts are in context with story and I am in no way judging you or that guy. You are smart enough to chose best for yourself!
As, for the writing part; all emotions were beautifully portrayed and even Arnav's jumbled and confused thoughts were penned down very thoughtfully. 😊
