Part 18:

I never thought I would have so many questions to be answered after Mohan left me. However, I feel he is still alive and thinking of each one of us. I wish I could talk to him.

Lost in my thoughts, when I walked out of my room, I clashed with Addu. "Sorry Ma.. I was talking on phone and didn't see you coming out."

Why does Addu's sorry feel so unreal? As if it is just a pretence to be a good son. In the last two years, he has taken over the responsibilities of the house; been there for me like an ideal son. But even his trivial mistake is making me think so much. It took me all the control I had to not show my emotions in my expressions.

"It's okay, Addu. Are you very busy these days? I hardly see you."

"Ma, you know how it is. I was away for almost a week and now all the work I left behind is coming back to me. Oh, another call! I will talk to you later, Ma." With that he left.

I turned back to look at him. I remembered that innocent face with chocolate around his mouth, waving at me. Now I have this guy who is my son, but nothing like him. Addu knew exactly what Mohan meant to me. Then why did he sell the house which had Mohan and Rimjhim's memories?

I went near him to ask instead of making wild guesses myself. He didn't see me approaching as he was facing the other side. When I was about to call out his name, I heard him shout on the phone, "Why didn't you tell me before, that Beera went to registration office?"

Why did Addu get so agitated over that issue? Are my guesses right? I shouldn't talk to Addu about it now. I will wait until Nanhi and Beera return.

Well, I didn't expect Nanhi and Beera to return with my answers!
