RES

Dang thanks for that cliff hanger M, Is it Khushi who is ringing Swami's bell at 10.00 pm at night?( when are we getting the next chapter?😆 Seriously it is all your fault that we have turned into insatiable spammers). Leaving the theatrics aside, thank you for yet another grilling and thrilling chapter! Every exchange between our lovely characters is so darn powerful here that we truly get to see and feel the impact of your words!👏

Khushi and this rather "complicated" and "Calculative" creature called Ashima's conversation enlightened us about their equation! Khushi's guilt has bound her to Ashima and it is all her own doing. I am still getting my head around the fact that Khushi actually possibly slept with A's husband (even if it is unknowingly, my mind can't accept that specially knowing how Khushi has been throughout this whole FF)! So Ashima takes full advantage of Khushi's guilt even knowing that she is not at fault, treats her like crap, uses her for three years and suddenly fires her! She even blames Khushi for being in a situation that she is, she tells her she only wanted to keep things professional, did not want her to treat her as a sister! Hmm I am very much intrigued, Ashima confuses me! I find myself asking the same question that Khushi was asking in the end, is she finally letting go of her to actually help herself or help Khushi or maybe both. Is she still manipulating situations to add twists and turns to her story! I am sure her reasoning for letting go of Khushi is not as simple as her being too attractive for Ashima's liking. Is she finally taking pity on Khushi and setting her free. Can we expect a master manipulator like Ashima to have developed herself a conscious after all? Is she finally maybe feeling a tad bit guilty for using Arnav hence setting Khushi free for him?.. I suppose only time will tell...

Coming on to the next let's just say rather amusing exchange that took place between Swami and Immi! It was definitely quite a contrast to the earlier exchange! The transition from a serious moment to light in the chapter was so effortless M, you always amaze me like that! You write situations with such ease and naturalness that one can't help but praise you for it!👏 As amusing as the conversation was, Khushi's mention affected Swami. I can hardly wait to see who is at the door? And if it is Khushi then I want to know what happens next at your earliest convenience 😳 Who am I kidding no matter who is at the other, my curiousity has no bounds I still want to know asap...:D

Ps. Apologies in advance for my 3.00 am rambling

"But I have my life, I'm living it. It's twisted, exhausting, uncertain, and full of guilt, but nonetheless, there's something there."

And maybe by firing her, Ashima has given Khushi the opportunity to explore and live that 'something'.

I respect Ashima for who she is. At times i do judge her but she is who she is. Unapologetic. Comfortable and confident in her skin.

I think Arnav is in for a surprise or are we...?

Thank you for using the banner.

Swami at himself was so angry
In Ashima 's trap to fall so stupidly
Was it his arrogance or his his naivety ?
His feelings to Khushi he admitted openly
She appealed to him ...as did her morality
But how could she have been a party ?
Against him, in this conspiracy..
When for each other they felt something certainly
His lips on her and a kiss with such intensity
Words not needed he left her silently
When in his arms he wanted to carry her away in reality !

Aww V, this is awesome!! As always, I want to add.

You've captured the entire essence of the chapter so perfectly... 👍🏼

oh no I got so engrossed reading...res!

Meera, I am in awe.

I don't know what is left for me to say about the brilliance of your writing, you're thought, your concept, characters ( i love that they have shades..make them seem more realistic ! .) and the small gestures and details that make your updates such a visual delight! Loved the banner by Iron Butterfly and the name of the chapter so appropriate!

The layers are slowly getting peeled and the mystery being unrevealed and captivating us further and further'.yes the spamming is going to increase, if the quality of the updates is such'

Love the scene between Ashima and Khushi, Khushi came across as a meek and very guilty and confused girl, who was not sure if she should lash out at Ashima or keep things inside like she has been, I actually feel bad for her living in the guilt, it's easy for Ashima to say that has long absolved her of any wrong doing and does not hold her responsible knowing her husband like she did, but living with Ashima made to feel she owes her gratitude and her behavior and attitude must have made her continue to live in guilt'..I do like Khushi, finally giving her a piece of her mind about the blame of a failed marriage being shared by both people in the marriage!

She realizes that the reason she falls into Mr. Majumadar trap is because of the kind of person Ashima is selfish, cold and heartless, and so it was easy to believe him'..so did Khushi know he was married? And did she just fall for his manipulating, wondering if that was reason enough '.how nave is nave? I did say that something happened between Ashima's husband and Khushi to make her feel guilty but I thought it was probably orchestraed by Ashima once again to use in her writing'.Am not judging till we know the full story, feel there are parts still not revealed.

But it's the guilt that has gotten Khushi to dedicate 3 years of her life, working behind the scenes, at her beck and call..to work for Ashima, when she could have been a writer on her own merit''

So Ashima saying she does not need a lifeless Khushi, one that seems mellow and melancholy all the time affecting her work, creating an ambience that was not conducive for writing...and now that she feels she has no more contribution to make, with the plot discovered she is letting her go? Or like she says does Khushi can figure out her reasons for herself, is she actually doing her a favour, not sure why I think she is..I guess she had figured out Arnav's attraction for Khushi a while back and saw Khushi come alive around him and now wants Khushi to go live her life''instead of just doing what she is doing and punishing herself'.I wonder if Ashima ever intended to sleep with Arnav or did she want to rile Khushi and see some sparks?

Also she feels threatening by Khushi, something about her that drew men to her, without her trying'.or was that her charm? She knew her husband was a sleaze ball and she was happy to use what happened with Khushi as her reason to get rid of him'. Khushi having slept with him'.wow'.that was big and feels guilt about her involvement with him, is her anger towards Arnav's Casanova image a reminder of what happened with her and Mr. Majumadar and is it disappointment and anger at herself which she is takes out on him? Or what would explain her lectures on his morality or lack of them? Was it hitting too close to home'?

For what it's worth I am glad Khushi is free, actually she needs to absolve herself to be free. So interesting to see how and that happens'.I am sure Swami will play a crucial role directly or indirectly..

I wonder if Ashima, expects Khushi to turn to Arnav'..and if this is yet another move in her human game of chess'? But I for one don't know if want her to go to him under these circumstances. Plus does she know where he stays?

So now going back to his house, him out of a shower, I mean that image, water still trickling down his body, he slipping into shorts, just too delicious and tempting, love how in properly ASR style he barks on the phone the moment he answers it and love the detail of putting it on speaker so he could change'.so now he is interestingly not using Imran's professional interest in Khushi as an opportunity to meet her, I loved their conversation though, very witty, love the sarcasm and the humour'..love the camaraderie they share, the marriage versus single discussion and the date with Afiya, ha ha'..thoughts of Khushi still driving him crazy ,love how to get some normalcy he messages his mother about seeing them'..or keeping himself busy not to have to think of her, or the comfort and familiarity of home'.

So now waiting for him to open the door and it be revealed who is mystery guest is. I have given some options too' (Page 6) but it is not fair to keep us waiting till Friday'..really not'.

Once again Meera, you have spun your words around to make them worthy indeed'just cannot get enough'..

Res!! Finally!!

Edited:
Back-to-back chapters of revelations!! And how beautifully crafted... I am in awe...
I just loved the Ashima-Khushi conversation... Everything was so detailed... yellow paper--pen writing--bundle of papers--the swiveling chair--and two women. Brilliant writing!!

I am glad Ashima fired Khushi... even though cold-blooded, I think she may have done it out of some sympathy for the girl... There was no way that Khushi was going to leave this job otherwise. And then the truth unfolds... So Khushi truly gets all the men around, attracted to her? Mr Majumdar, NK and then Arnav... I loved Ashima's taunts to drive Khushi away... She sometimes reminds me of Miranda Priestly of 'Devil wears Prada'...

I wonder if Khushi did not know, that Mr Majumdar was married... and if she did then why would she still sleep around with him? Why did Ashima hire Khushi in the first place? And if Khsuhi feels guilty... how does working with Ashima solve that issue I wonder... But I am sure there will be explanations for all of the above... As I had said in earlier comments, that this story is in layers and each update is a layer to be peeled off...

I agree that we haven't got to know the real Khushi as yet... just a few glimpses of her real self when she is with Arnav... She has been miserable in all her dukh bhari kahani... As I always said... I love Ashima... she is one woman who does not pretend to be nice... and is very true to herself... And so finally Khushi is thrown out of Ashima's life... to fight her own battle... where Imran has already liked her stories and thinks she has potential...

So Arnav does not want to get in touch with Khushi huh?? Lolz... is destiny going to be on his side... because looks like Khushi is just at his door!! Or again you want to give us a shocker Meera?? Next Update... Friday?? Really?? How will we survive with the suspense??
At least give us a teaser!! Please please... Or we will span so much that you may have to start thread 3 for the next update... 😆
