"Falling In Love," started off with the marriage of Arnav and Khushi and how tough it was for Khushi to adjust since she still had feelings for another man. Shyam, who was madly in love with Khushi, comes back into her life and creates chaos in which Arnav comes to know about their relationship, which Khushi had kept hidden from him.
Now their relationship has grown and it is time for them to take it to the next level. But will it be so easy? Will Shyam's obsession come in way of all this. Who will win? Arnav's love or Shyam's obsession? You already know the answer to that. Reaching the goal isn't exciting, it's the path that makes it worth reaching so hope you guys enjoy the way to love.
This FF is a little slow but I hope you'll are enjoying it and I hope I'm not disappointing anyone with what I have in store for all of you.
I will be clearing my PM list after every thread so please make sure you comment on my updates once you read the update.
"That is all for today," NK said ending the class. Everyone packed their things and started to leave. For Khushi, cooking class was like 3 hours of bliss. She was relaxed and she did it all with so much ease that three hours passed by before she even realized. "Khushi," NK called out from behind as Khushi inched towards the door. "Hi," she said. "Do you have time for lunch? I hate eating alone!" he said. "Yes, sure. Where will you take me?" she asked. "Today you can decide." He said grinning. "Okay, so how about Mexican? I have been craving burritos since last night!" she said. "Sure, there is one just 5 minutes away." He said. "La Mexicana!" he stated. "Let's go."
It was 1:30 and NK and Khushi sat in the restaurant and ordered one dish each. "So, how is Sahana?" Khushi asked. "Don't ask! I wanted a favour actually," he gulped, "Can you please talk to her about stuff..." he raised his eyebrows. "Oh. OH." Khushi said realizing what he was getting at. "I'm her father and its weird." He said. "Look, relax. You are doing a great job. Maya would have been proud of you. Being a single parent is never easy." "More than that, being the parent of a teenage daughter is not easy. How do I talk to her about guys and stuff? Recently she's been getting really bad grades and I have no idea how to make her understand." NK said. "I'll speak to her but you've got to be more strict. You have to set the rules NK. She will never learn this way." "It's only been 5 years okay, it's not so easy to deal with everything," he stated. "It's been 5 YEARS. You have given her too much freedom. Do you even know what she does after school? Her schedule? Who she goes out with?" Khushi questioned. "No. That's the point. She is 15 and she had her private stuff. Her mother left her a box, which has some letters and memories. She refuses to even show it to me. We are close Khushi but a father can only do so much!" he said. "Alright. Alright. I will talk to her and try to get things straight." She said.
As they were finishing their lunch, Arnav called, "Hi," she said answering the phone. "Hi, where are you?" he asked. "I'm out for lunch, with NK, say?" "Oh, no, nothing. It's okay. I'll see you at night." He said. "What happened?" she asked again. "No, nothing really. I just called to hear you voice, I just remembered some work I have to do. I'll talk to you later. Bye" he said keeping the phone. "Arna-- but he had already disconnected the line. "Is anything wrong?" NK asked. "No, I guess not. Arnav wanted to tell me something, but he didn't." she said wondering what it could be. They were done with lunch so after they paid the bill they went their own ways. Khushi's mind diverted to Arnav again. He never usually called her at this time. She was the one who always called to make sure he ate his lunch. Then suddenly it struck Khushi. 'I always call to check if he ate his lunch. Did he call because he wanted to have lunch together? I told him I was out. Uh-oh. Did he? How will I find out?' Khushi thought. She hated it when Arnav just wouldn't tell her what he's thinking. She always had to figure it out herself. Khushi rang him up again. He picked up after a few rings, "Yes, say?" he asked. "Have you eaten lunch?" she asked. "I'm not too hungry, I'll eat later." He said, "You enjoy lunch and don't worry about me!" "Okay, bye." She said. She called up home. She asked the servant if they had sent Arnav's food today. The servant told her that the cook isn't well so she took a half-day from Arnav Sir. Khushi understood what was going on. She pursed her lips and asked the driver to turn the car around.

"Sir, Ma'am is here, should I send her in?" his secretary asked through the phone. "Who ma'am?" he asked thinking it may be Mamiji. "Khushi Ma'am." The secretary said. "Khushi? Okay, send her in." he said. "Gentlemen, we will continue this meeting in half an hour?" he asked the employees in his room. "Yes sir, we'll wait outside." He said. The employees left and Khushi entered. "Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada," she said angrily. Arnav inscrutably stared at his wife. "How hard was it to tell me that the cook was sick?" she asked keeping the food packets on his desk. "Khushi you were out." He said. "So what? I am your wife and you should have known better than to lie." She glowered. "I didn't want to spoil your lunch--"So you would just starve?" she said. "Alright, I'm sorry." He said grimly. "Now eat." She said taking out the boxes. "Next time, just tell me." She said calming down. "Okay." He said peevishly.
She watched as Arnav ate the burritos she got for him. "You are never going to change, are you?" she asked. Arnav just stared at her wondering whether the question was rhetorical. Khushi laughed as he vacantly stared at her. "I know you won't and it's a good thing." She said, "sometimes." She added.
"How was your lunch?" Arnav asked. "Great." She replied. "How is NK doing? What about his daughter?" he asked. "You told me he was having a hard time." He said remembering. "Yes, I don't blame him. Sahana is a pretty stubborn child. She needs a mother. But Arnav, NK is trying his best. I see it everyday." She said gravely. Arnav sighed, "You know, you could invite them over for dinner someday." He said. "Not a bad idea!" She exclaimed. "How about tomorrow?" she asked. "Great." He said seeing Khushi so happy.
He knew Khushi loved to socialize and now finally she had a friend in Mumbai. Arnav didn't want anything more than to see Khushi comfortable in Mumbai. He wanted her to have the best of everything. His heart felt ecstatic seeing her laugh or smile. Whenever she was happy, he was happy. "Oh, by the way, Mamiji wants us to come over tonight. It's Mamaji's birthday." He said. "Oh, really? Should I go get him a gift?" she asked. "Yes, fine. I'll pick you up around 8:30?" he asked. "Perfect!" she said. "Now can I get back to my work?" he asked. "Yes. You may. I was leaving anyway." She said getting up. She turned around and walked to the door. "Hey Khushi," he called out, "Thank you." He said smiling. She smiled shook her head and left the room.

Khushi was waiting for Arnav. It was 8:30. He was still nowhere to be seen. She called him up but his phone was switched off. Had he forgotten?
8:35 pm, the doorbell finally rang. Khushi opened the door and it was Shyam.
She was even angrier now. He took two steps towards her and she took two steps back. Shyam had pain written all over his face.
"Khushi Singh Raizada!" he said painfully. "Are you drunk?" she asked. "What do you think Khushi? Am I drunk?" he asked taking two steps towards her again. She moved back. "Look, just please go. You are drunk and you'll regret this tomorrow!" she said raising her voice. She could smell it. He was completely wasted.
"Regret? You know what I regret? I regret falling in love with you! It is so painful Khushi; it is so damn painful to be in love with you! I love you so much; I always have, but you? You only gave me pain and grief in return of my love!" he accused. "Shyam," Khushi's voice shivered. He was surfacing the guilt that Khushi had put into a deep dark corner in her heart. "I--I can't" she tried to speak. "You can't what? You can't love me? You can't even pick up your phone when I call! Why Khushi? Why would you hurt me that way? Why did you ruin my life? What had I ever done to deserve this?" he yelled holding Khushi's shoulders and shaking her up. "Shyam, I am sorry!" she broke down. She had hated the guilt that filled inside her every time she saw Shyam's condition. She was surprise that even now he could hurt her. Even now he could come in and make her weak.
"I am sorry Khushi, I didn't mean to make you cry." He softened up. "But what could I do?" he asked swaying a little. He still held on to Khushi to keep his balance. He drank a little too much. "I couldn't sit in Kolkata and cry for the rest of my life? I couldn't just let you go! You were the love of my life Khushi, you are the love of my life and you will always be mine, just mine!"
Khushi found her voice, "No Shyam, I am not the love of your life. I never was. It was just you. You came in here and all you've been screaming about is yourself. Only how you were hurt and destroyed, I went through the same thing Shyam, but I moved on and you should do the same. There is NO, and I repeat, NO future for us, it's Arnav and me now, just us." She said.
"No! It is not! I am never going to let that happen! You are mine!" he yelled shaking her up. "You wait and watch, you will come to me yourself!" "No I won't Shyam, never." She screamed too. "You will, you know why? Because you care about Arnav! Do you know what he wants the most in life at the moment?" Shyam asked narrowing his eyes. Khushi stood still and listened. 'What was Shyam planning to do? He couldn't hurt Arnav, could he?' "Please don't hurt him!" she pleaded. "Oh I will! Khushi Singh Raizada, if you do not walk out of that door with me today, I will ruin Arnav's life. I will take his tender right in front of his eyes. I will win that damn thing no matter what I have to do." Khushi stood there as her world was falling apart. "You are drunk Shyam, go away!" she tried pushing him away but he just wouldn't go. "I am fine! And I mean what I say. Even if it takes to hurt Arnav and keep him from going for the conference!" he screamed. "You have no idea how much I love you Khushi. I love everything about you! I will do everything for you and me to become us again. Anything." he said desperately. "This is never going to happen! You can't do anything!" she yelled. "Oh really? And you would risk ASR's dream? You would risk ruining another life? How many people will you do that to?" Shyam mocked.
Khushi looked at the floor. She was scared. She knew how much Arnav had worked for this tender and how much it meant to him. She didn't trust Shyam; he was totally capable of doing what he says. "Shyam, please, you are drunk, we'll talk tomorrow!" she pleaded. She was breaking down. She didn't want to go back to Shyam, he had become vicious and she was to blame for this. She hated herself at the moment and she thought hard about what she should do. She couldn't risk it all again! "I am not drunk. I see you have a choice again Mrs. Raizada, the tender or Arnav? You just called me selfish didn't you? Let's see how selfless you are. If I walk out of this door alone today, then I promise, I will make Arnav's life a living hell!" he swore. Khushi just couldn't say anything. She completely broken and her blood-shot eyes bore nothing but tears and sorrow. Shyam grinned moving away from Khushi. "Tick Tock Mrs. Raizada." He said.
No sooner had he said that than he felt a strong punch against his cheek. He fell to the ground. "Khushi!" Arnav gasped. He was beside her in a moment. "Guards!" he said. They were just standing at the front door. Arnav had brought them with him. "Take him away!" he said, before he lost it and attacked Shyam. He hated seeing her cry. Khushi was on the floor crying and he was right beside her. He held her close to him. She hugged him and dug her face into his chest as she cried even louder. "Khushi, mark my words..." Shyam screamed as he was dragged away by the guards.
Arnav and Khushi sat there just holding each other for a very long time. Khushi had stopped crying but she still held on tightly. 'Arnav's here, it's okay Khushi, it's going to be okay. You will be just fine. He is here. He will handle this situation better than you. Calm down.' "I am sorry Khushi!" he said slowly, "I am going to change all the security tomorrow itself. No one can just come in and ambush you. I have no idea how he got in! I saw his car parked outside and I--" He muttered. "I am so sorry," he said again.
Khushi pulled away. "You are sorry? That is the last thing I want you to be Arnav. I am sorry. I always end up hurting you and you know Shyam is threatening to--"Yes, I heard. Don't worry Khushi, he won't be able to hurt me, I won't let him. And always remember, if I ever have to choose between anything and you, it's always going to be you; this tender doesn't stand a chance. I wouldn't even need to think about it." He said. "It's your dream Arnav, you deserve this." She said. "Then I will get it. Shyam doesn't scare me anymore Khushi." He said holding her. They looked at each other and there was relief. Arnav got up and pulled her up. They walked upstairs to their room.
"What about dinner? The cook isn't here you know that." Khushi said. "I'll go make something!" she said turning around to leave. "Khushi," Arnav said, "How about we just call for some pizza?" "But you hate cold pizza," she said. "No, it's fine. I know you love it." He said. "No. I want to go make something." She said leaving. "Alright, so I will help you today!" Arnav said, walking right behind her. "Arnav Singh Raizada in the kitchen?" she commented. "Why not?" he said smiling. 'I just want Khushi to forget everything. What is happening to Shyam? How am I going to protect her from him? He keeps showing up no matter what! I have to think of something. This isn't going to work. She seems fine now but it can't be easy for her to see him deteriorate every time.' Arnav thought. Khushi on the other hand thought, 'Arnav is here now. I have nothing to worry about. I am safe with him. Always. But Shyam, what is happening to him? Why is he behaving this way? The Shyam I knew wasn't like this. And I am to blame for his condition. He was never so bitter and vicious. I made him that way. I hope he'll forgive me for that but I can't go back to him. I don't think I want to anymore. I like Arnav, he is great and I --I don't know how I feel about him but I care about him, a lot.'
