One Shot ll The Confusion ll

"Here Di!" said an overly excited Khushi as she shoved a piece of jalebi into her sister in law's mouth.

"Khushiji what's the occasion?" questioned Anjali trying not to choke.

"Oh ho Di! How do you not know yet?! Everyone knows! They've even named him!"

Anjali watched her youngest sister in law gather 10 boxes of jalebis in her arms and run out of the house at an alarming speed.

"Chote's right she is pagal! But what is she talking about? Named him?"

And then it hit her.

With a 100 watt smile lighting up her face, Anjali ran to the living room and cornered an unsuspecting Payal.

"Payalji! How come you didn't tell me?!" asked an extremely breathless Anjali

"Di? What are you talking about?"

"That you're pregnant!"

"WHAT?!"

"I'm going to become a grandmother!" yelled Mami jumping up from the couch and hugging Payal.

"No Di! I'm not pregnant!" explained a slightly awkward and embarrassed Payal.

"But Khushiji said you even named him! She was celebrating--"

"Di you know Khushi has a loose screw. We were watching TV and...

After finally understanding what her brother's wife was excited about, Anjali mentally noted to give her brother more credit from now on.

"Here Amanji have some!"

Aman weakly picked up a jalebi from the box his bhabi was shoving in his face.

"Thank you bhabi. But what's the occasion?"

"Amanji aap bhi na! The whole country knows and you don't know! You definitely are Arnavji's right hand man! They had a baby!"

Aman stood before the beaming woman and meekly munched on the jalebis trying to figure out what the in the world she was going on about.

"Where's Arnavji?"

"In his office."

Aman watched his bhabi hand out jalebis to the staff members on her way to her husband's office.

"Did Akash Sir have a baby?" mumbled a confused Aman

"WHAT?! NO!"

Aman turned around and saw a hyperventilating Akash facing him.

"Sorry Payal I'll talk to her."

Arnav's phone rang just as he put it down.

"Calm down Akash! Payal just called and explained...

...Yeah that was the first thing she told me this morning when I woke up...

...Just breathe Akash!...

...I'll talk to Khushi."

Arnav looked up to see his wife running up the stairs with a box of sweets in hand.

"Hi Arnavji! Here have some! I already celebrated with the staff and---"

Arnav stood up and walked up to his wife. He grabbed the box out of her hands and made her sit down.

"Listen baby I know you're excited and all but isn't it weird that you're this excited?"

"Why would it be weird? They had a baby!" justified a smiling Khushi.

"And I'm happy for them just as everyone else but we don't know them."

"Haw Arnavji! How can you say that? Everyone knows Shahrukh Khan!

"That's not what I mean Khushi. Never mind just forget it. I don't know what you'll do if Salman Khan ever had a baby!" Arnav teased Khushi earning a light slap.

Arnav gave his crazy wife a hug and mentally vowed to never let her find out about his Bollywood contacts.
