Next day

Everyone was in courtroom. Rudra was looking fine. He was looking much better after taking medicines and his scratches were almost healed. Shambhavi too was there but she was looking sad.

Vikramaditya: you have proved everyone wrong winning this challenge. You have proved that you are the right person to be my daughter's bodyguard. Now no one will question on your abilities.

He said that looking at shambhavi who was making faces.

Shambhu/rudra: it's an honor to be videha's princess's bodyguard.

He too said that looking at shambhavi and she looks at him angrily.

Shambhu/rudra: but maharaj, can I ask you for something?

Vikramaditya: sure. What do you want?

Shambu/rudra: I want my friend birju to stay with me. He has nobody else except me. Its my request to let him stay with me. You can give him whatever work you want to give.

Vikramaditya: hmmm alright,I'll let him stay and I'll decide later what work should be given to him. Maybe rananjay could help him but he is not there so we have to wait for his arrival. Till then you start your duty to protect my daughter.

Shambhu/rudra ofcourse maharaj,

Vikramaditya and padmavati left from there. Rudra was looking at shambhavi amusingly who getting furious seeing him smile. She nods in no and goes from there.birju was very happy that he got a chance to stay at palace. Rudra makes him understand that they are there for a reason and they better concentrate on that. Birju agrees.

Birju: go now, she must be waiting for his "bodyguard"

Birju says sarcastically.rudra goes behind her. Shambhavi was going towards kusum van shambhu/rudra comes. Shambhavi gets irritated seeing him.

Shambhavi: what are you doing here?

Shambhu/rudra: princess I am your bodyguard. I am supposed to be with you wherever you go. I am only doing my job.

Shambhavi: but how can I be unsafe here? It my palace and this is my favourite place. Do you think these flowers will hurt me?

Shambhu/rudra: flowers won't hurt you but their thorns can hurt you.

Shambhavi looks at him. His words left her speechless. She moves forward and rudra follows her. shambhavi was roaming in the kusum van. She saw a red rose and remembers her first meeting with rudra when she was a child. She caresses the rose. Rudra was watching her lovingly. Suddenly she remembers the kiss they share. She gets annoyed and holds the thorns of the rose plant. Her grip was getting more and more firm; she was in pain but didn't show. Rudra saw this and told her not to do so but she didn't listen. Tears fell off from her eyes and she goes from there. Rudra was pained to see her like this. He wanted to stop her but stopped himself doing so.

Shambhu/rudra: why are you doing this? i know what I have to do. Before dealing with you I have to deal with your anger and frustration.

A tear fell off from his eyes.

Vikramaditya and padmavati were talking to someone. Shambhavi comes and saw them talking to someone. She becomes elated when she found out that its none other but her dance teacher. She goes and touches his feet.

Shambhavi: guruji, why didn't you inform me that you are coming?

Guruji: To see that smile on your face. I didn't get to see this smile and surprised expressions if I have informed you.

Shambhavi: but I am very angry with you. You forgot me completely. you know how much I missed your singing and dancing.

Guruji: but I am here now and I'll fulfill your wish. I want to know if you still remember my lessons or not.

Shambhavi: I remember everything guruji. You'll see

Guruji: alright

Rudra comes and saw shambhavi happy meeting her guruji. He smiles watching her happy.shambhavi goes to change.

Everyone was gathered in palace's verandah. Although there was a dancing hall in the palace but shambhavi loves to dance in open. Shambhavi comes there dressed in a light blue lehenga and choli with minimum jewellery and a loose braid wearing ghungroos .She was looking extremely beautiful. Rudra was staring at her. He was looking at her lovingly. He couldn't take his eyes off from her.birju was there too. He pinched rudra.

Birju: stop staring at her like this or else you'll be in trouble.

Rudra: I can't help it she is looking very beautiful. What wrong in looking at your would be wife?

Birju: if you don't then we both will be thrown out of this palace. You are her bodyguard remember? Control your feelings.

Rudra: alright alright.

Shambhavi looks at her guruji who nods in yes. Guruji starts singing and shambhavi starts dancing. Everyone was happily watching her dancing. She was dancing very gracefully. She was full of joy. Rudra was looking at her dumbstruck. Birju was telling him not to do so and trying to control him but he refuses to listen. He was completely mermerised watching her dancing. After she finished dancing everyone claps for her including her guruji.

Guruji: shambhavi you are getting better and better day by day. I never expected you to dance so gracefully. I am surprised.

Shambhavi: what have I told you? I remember everything

Everyone goes inside but rudra was still there watching at the same place where shambhavi was dancing.

Birju: stop day dreaming rudra. You were watching her as if you were seeing her for the first time.

He didn't say anything but smiles and both of them goes inside. Everyone had lunch after having lunch shambhavi do a lot of chit chat with her guruji.

In the evening

Guruji was leaving. Everyone was bidding him good bye but shambhavi wasn't happy coz he was leaving so early.

Shambhavi: I won't talk to you. You are going so early

Guruji: shambhavi I have to go dear. I have some important work. But I promise next time I'll stay for sure.

Shambhavi: ok don't forget your promise.

She touches his feet and he left. Vikramaditya ask everyone to come inside as it was getting dark and was about to rain heavily. Padmavati comes in shambhavi's room she checked her jewellery box and found only one anklet. She asked shambhavi about it.

Padmavati: shambhavi what is this? Where is the other one?

Shambhavi remembers the time when she left her anklet for rudra. She becomes sad but doesn't say anything.

Padmavati: I am asking you something shambhavi?

Shambhavi: maa I lost the other one in jungle.

Padmavati: what? How could you do this? You very well know that these anklets are your grandmother's. I am very upset with you shambhavi. You hurt my feelings and probably your grandmother's feelings too.

Shambhavi was watching her with tears in her eyes. She was hurt and sad.

Padmavati left from there. As soon as she left shambhavi burst in tears . Rudra was listening to their conversation. He was surprised to know that shambhavi lied to her mother for him. He wanted to console her, he wanted to wipe her tears but he stopped himself. He goes from there with teary eyes..

In the night

Everyone was asleep. It was raining heavily. Lighting was striking but shambhavi was awake. She was thinking of her mother words. Rudra was roaming in the palace. He was thinking about shambhavi. Suddenly he saw shambhavi going in the verandah. She was wearing ghungroos.

Rudra: what is she doing here this time and where is she going?

He followed her. Shambhavi came in the verandah. She was drenching in rain. She stretched her hands and closed her eyes. rudra was watching her. Shambhavi starts dancing again but this time she was dancing rigorously and breathlessly. Rudra becomes tensed seeing her dancing like this. he knew she is hurt and venting out her anger through dance. Shambhavi was dancing continuously. Her ghungroo starts breaking but she was still dancing. Her feet start bleeding but she was dancing. Suddenly she starts feeling dizzy she was about to faint and fall but rudra comes and holds her. Shambhavi was unconscious. He lifted her in his arms and takes her in her room. He lay her down and wipes blood from her feet. A tear rolled down from his eye and falls on shambhavi's foot.

Rudra: why are you doing this? Why are you punishing yourself? You are punishing yourself for loving me. I can't see you like this. I can't see you in so much pain. I can't see my life destroying her life like this.

He took her hand in his.

Rudra: our love is pure,our love is true. This anger and frustration is not gonna last long. I'll change all your sorrows and pain into happiness. I promise i'll never let you go, not now not today not ever.

He caresses her head, kisses on her forehead. he starts leaving but stopped and looked at her again. his eyes were red, full of pain seeing his love in pain. he goes from there.
