Part 2

Sharon had not closed her eyes for a single moment throughout the night….. She just kept starring at her cute boyfriend and was caressing his hair lost in her thoughts….. The sun rose high up in the sky and lit up her room with its magnificent light….. She tried moving but dropped the idea as she wanted Swayam to sleep peacefully….. She sat there waiting for him to wake up…..

very soon he slowly opened his eyes….. Blinking them a number of times to get use to the bright light….. Now he was wide awake….. And the first thing he saw was her face….. A wide smile started dancing on his face as she smiled back at him….

Sharon (softly, sweetly and lovingly creasing his hair): Good Morning!

Swayam (dreamingly): Good morning!

He thought he was yet dreaming…..

Sharon: Now that you're up, I'll go get some black coffee for your hangover!

Swayam looked at her all puzzled….. He suddenly realised that this was for real….. He jerked up from her lap but…. Aaaouch!... His head felt heavy and he had a terrible head ached….. All thanks to the drink…..

Sharon (matter-of-fact): Yeah! Jaisa maine kaha!... Hangover!

Swayam (confused): Aahh….. Sharon…. But….. Woh….. main….. tumhara ghar….. kaise?... kya…..

Sharon: Hey, hey relax! Woh kal sham party main you all guys were high... And tum aise state main nahi the ke main tumhe tumhare ghar chod du….. iss liye I got you here!

Swayam (shocked): What? Party main hum sab high?

Sharon: Don't tell me tumhe kuch bhi yaad nahi hai!

Swayam (puzzled): Nahi!!!

Sharon: o...k... woh kal sham party main…. (Sharon narrated the entire story of what all happened, about the Taani-Rey fiasco…. But she omitted telling him the rest that happened between them)

Swayam (hell shocked): What!!!... (sitting with his head held) Sharon, Taani ko meri jarurat hogi….. Mujhe uske paas rehna chahiye….

He got up to leave but Sharon held his hand to stop him….

Sharon: Nahi Swayam! I think you should let Taani be….. Yeh unn dono ke beech ka problem hai…. So let them handle it!... I'm sure they will solve the problem themselves!

Swayam thought for a minute and then just nodded positively and sat down on the bed….. Sharon lets him be for a while as she knew that he needs to get his mind right….. She moved to the washroom to freshen-up…..

Swayam (in mind): Kal sham maine kya kiya? Kahin maine Sharon ko kuch ulta seedha toh nahi bol diya? Aur main Sharon ke saath ek hi room main?! I hope she has not misunderstood me!... God mujhe kuch yaad kyun nahi aa raha?

He was trying hard to remember but had very faint memories of last night…… he was trying to remember everything but his head was pounding ….. he just held his head and sat there trying to think straight…..After about half an hour she came out in a comfortable pair of shorts and a tee….. Swayam was yet sitting in the same position lost in his thoughts……

Sharon: Mind pe itna pressure daalne se last night ki baatein yaad nahi aayegi….. (His head shot up as he heard her and just smiled at her comment) Tum fresh ho jao, I'll get the breakfast ready….

He nodded positively and she moved out to the kitchen….. He also washed-up but his head….. Gosh!!!... Hangovers are really terrible….. He moved out to the dining area and saw her coming out of the kitchen with a jug filled with fresh orange juice….. The dining table was neatly laid with cut fresh fruits in different bowls, toast, bread, butter, omelette, bowl of cereal, milk and cutlery….. They both got themselves seated in the adjacent chairs….

Swayam: Sharon… woh…. (but was cut by Sharon)

Sharon (sweetly): Pehle breakfast kar lo phir kal raat ki baatein jaan lena….

He was amazed that Sharon was actually reading his mind…. Then he just smiled at her and both continue having their breakfast….. After they were done Sharon went up to the kitchen and came out with two cups of steaming coffee….. They both walked up to the backyard and sat comfortably on the grass next to each other….. Swayam was confused on how to start a conversation as he was in a very awkward state of mind….. Sharon very well knew he was yet trying to recollect the incidents of last night so she thought of breaking the silence…..

Sharon: Swayam tumse ek baat puchu?

Swayam (looking at her): Haan, pucho!

Sharon (turning to look at him): Swayam tumhe yaad hai jab hum trail relationship main the….. Tab tumne mujhse kahan tha ke ek relationship main kisi ko zabardasti change nahi hona chahiye…. And especially jab woh individual uss change se comfortable na ho!... haan na?!

Swayam (looking at her completely confused): Haan!

Sharon: And tum yeh bhi kehte ho na that kisne ek relationship main change nahi hona chahiye jab tak woh change naturally na aaye…. Kyunki you love the person the way they are….. right?!

Swayam (even more confused): Haan Sharon! Par tum suddenly yeh baat kyun puch rahi ho?

Sharon: Kyunki I want to know ke jab tum iss change se comfortable nahi ho then why are you changing? (Swayam was just looking at her trying to figure out what was she trying to say) tum suddenly itna indifferent behave kar rahe ho….. Uss din jab maine tumhare dad ke saamne apni feelings confess ki thi, uss raat mujhe laga ke tum mujhe milne aaoge….. But tum nahi aaye….. Aur kal bhi jab hum canteen aaye tab tum itna weird behave kar rahe the….. Aur maine dekha ke tum khud tumhare iss behaviour se uncomfortable ho….. Then why Swayam?

Swayam was just blankly starring at her….. He just lowered his gaze as he was sorry for what he did….

Swayam (stammering): Sharon….. woh….. main….. woh….. Woh main world ka best boyfriend banna chahta tha toh…. (now it was Sharon's turn to give him all the confused look) toh mujhe samjh nahi aa raha tha ke main tumhe impress kaise karu, tumhe khush kaise karu….. As we are a couple now toh….. Maine Rey ki advice li ke maine tumhe kaise treat karna chahiye; tumhare saath kaise behave karna chahiye…..

He looked up to see her reaction….. But she was blankly looking at him….. He thought Sharon would get mad at him and in no time will start pouring her anger on him….. he mentally prepared himself for the blows that were coming his way…… But to his surprise she was just looking at him…..

Sharon (calmly): So mujhe khush rakhne ke liye tum Rey ke paas gaye uski advice lene….. (he just looked down ashamed of what he did….. After a short pause) And mujhe laga ke tum mujhe, mujhse jyada jaante ho….

His head shot up sensing that Sharon was hurt due to his action…..

Swayam (taking her hand in his): Haan Sharon main tumhe tumse accha jaanta hoon….. But main yeh bhi jaanta hoon ke I can't lose you at any cost….. Main darta hoon ke mere kisi actions se tumhe hurt na kar du ya kuch aisa na karu jis wajah se tum mujhse dur chali jao!

Sharon thought she had hit the right string….. This was exactly what she wanted….. She wanted him to share his inhibitions and then make him overcome them….. She cupped his face and looked straight into his eyes with all her love…..

Sharon: Kyun Swayam? Tumhe aisa kyun lagta hai ke tum tumhare behaviour ya kisi action se mujhe hurt karoge….. Theek hai agreed ke past main, maine tumhe chod diya tha par woh mere insecurities and inhibitions ki wajahse and tumne hi woh inhibitions dur kiye and you made me realise that I love you…..and Swayam you are my prized possession toh koi apne prized possession ko kaise chod sakta hai….. And I love the old, innocent, loving, caring and unpredictable lover boy Swayam…. Jisne Sharon Rai Prakash pe Ph.D ki hai…..Jo uski harr ankhahee baat samjh jata hai….. Jo Sharon ko ek open book ki tarah padh leta hai….. Aur jise uski Sharon ko khush rakhne ke liye kisi ki advice ki zarurat nahi hai….. Aur uss Swayam ko world ka best boyfriend banne ki zarurat nahi hai kyun ki woh already Sharon ke liye iss Universe ka best boyfriend hai!

Sharon's eyes were moist by the end of it...Swayam was speechless….. looking deep into her eyes…..lost in her words…… in her eys that emoted immense love….. for Him…..

Swayam (holding her hand that was on his cheek): I'm sorry Sharon! Main pagal, ullu, ek number ka idiot hu... I'm really sorry tumhe hurt karne ke liye... Tumpe trust nahi karne ke liye...

Sharon nodded negatively indicating him to stop and just smiled through her tears... Swayam kissed her hands that were still cupping his face and pulled Sharon into a bone-crushing hug……

Swayam: I love you Sharon!... I love you very very very very much!

Sharon (smiling): I love you too, Swayam! I love you too!

He felt light in his heart…… He knew that Sharon loved him too……But now he learnt that it's not only him who is intensely and madly in love with her but she too reciprocated with the same intensity…… For him today was the actual day they entered an Official relationship….. All thanks to his insecurities and stupidity…… He mentally smacked himself for his weird behaviour but somewhere he was thankful to the fact that he behaved differently….. Otherwise he wouldn't have known the intensity of her love for him….. On the other hand she was happy that she got The old Swayam back….. Her Swayam back…… The one she loved……

Now they were truly a Couple who were madly in love!
