I started reading this story when it was half way through... Vinu n Shree brought me here... But I remained a silent reader all along... I so cant handle tragedies n so i had my own inhibitions when it came to Parinay... I was left doubtful if the story will end positively when I read the initial few chapters... But NBji you had me hooked ever since I started reading your work...
It was so very realistic and very well written... Your protagonist was a very weak character with lot of flaws when you started this out... Flaws that cannot be fixed... I so hated that man for dumping a girl and cheating another with marriage... But today I am all pride for him... He has changed and the change dint happen overnight... you have penned down this persons journey of 3 years so beautifully...
But one thing dint go well with me... The way he fell out of love with Lavanya... With the depth of love they shared, it wouldn't have been possible for him to fall out of love with Lavanya that easily... you could have thrown more light on how he came out of it... In reality, people who are forced to go for an arranged marriage when in love with someone else even after years can't fall out of love... You just learn to love the new person eventually, but will the feelings n emotions that ran for your EX change?? When if the love they have shared was so true, can a thought of mere commitment to another woman put to rest the love they shared... I would have loved to read more on that front...
I can very well relate with the way Arnav fell for Khushi... Love is not an one time act... People do fall in love time again... Here their relationship matured in its own way... Love happens with time when you are with the right person... You will never know, but being around for a while will make you long n want for the warmth that their presence would have evoked... That is what I feel happened here with Arnav and Khushi... Khushi being herself came in with lot of warmth... She is a sensible, intelligent and beautiful women... And it was only natural for him to fall in love with her... The insecurities and jealousy that Khushi had was so real... That is how women are... They might be goddess incarnate, but when it comes to EX they are all bitchy...
You have taken a beautiful subject and weaved a very entertaining story around it and have done complete justice to your characters... As humans we are all flawed... End of day our happiness lies in the compromises we make, the flaws we overcome and the facts we choose to remain blind about...
I might go on and on about this story... But I just don't want to make this long n more boring for you... I had a great time reading this story and I am signing up for CD and Boomerang... Will comment there regularly and save you from reading a lengthy boring comment at the last...
Oops... I missed to tell you the one most loved aspect of Arnav in Parinay... The cook in him... It is a fantasy that every married woman carries... "To have a wonderful cook in him"... I envy this Khushi for that... My husband sucks in household stuff and I keep complaining... Now I got even more reasons to complain...
And my wishes for your WEDDING ANNIVERSARY... Have a great day!!! See you soon in your other works...
