A highly disturbed Rey walked down to watch something to divert his mind and have something to eat .
He walked into the kitchen knowing his mom is making something.
"Mom!! " he walked in and settled on the Kitchen slab seeing the milk boil.
" Bolo beta ji " Priya replied taking two cups.
"Pata hai aapko !! Shashi Mom ko kuch hogaya " he finally decided to remove his irritation. He doesn't have any feelings to wards Kriya then why did she think like that???
" Use kya hua? "Priya chuckled .
"Pata hai kya bol rahi thi mom?? Unhe lagta hai ki mere aur Kriya ke beech mei kuch hai " he made a face saying that.
" Kuch nahi hai?? "Preeti asked casually and tried to reach sugar .
"Mom!! " Rey said sternly.
" Zara shakkar nikal "she walked back to the boiling milk not bothering about him.
" Mai aur Kriya bas friends hai aur kuch nahi!! Suna aapne?? Sirf friends "he placed the sugar bottle hard on the slab and walked to the other side to get on it again.
" Aapko bhi na kuch hogaya !! " He said playing with a lemon found beside.
" Sirf friends?? " Preeti pursed her lips to stop her giggle .
"Mom!! mai jaa raha hun " he got down but stood there itself .
" Jaa na " she chuckled as he glared at her.
"bhook lagi hai " he pouted annoyed.
"chalo kuch banadeti hun " he nodded and walked out immediately. He stood by the refrigerator to grab some water thinking about what Shashi and his mom are directing.
In logon ko aisa kyun lag raha hai ki mere aur Kriya ke beech kuch hai!! Wo meri dost hai bas , ye baat samajhte kyun nahi?? pata nahi donon tabse Kriya Kriya karke baite hai
He is lost in thoughts when Preeti called from in "Rey sandwich banadun?? "
he without thinking about what she asked replied "haa mom , without tomato " he said still lost in his thoughts. He just couldn't understand from where they got that idea.
"Par tumhe toh tomatoes jyaada chahiye tha hamesha?? " she came out asking.
"Kya?? " he came out of his trance.
" tomatoes nahi chahiye? "she raised her eyebrows.
" Ofcourse !! ye bhi poochne ki baat hai !! "
"toh na bola?? " he stopped in between drinking water spilling a bit in himself.
He sighed irritated and yelled literally.
" Aap aur mom tab se leke Kriya kriya kar rahe ho ki ,, aaahh!! Usse tomatoes nahi pasand mujhe chahiye!! " before preeti could comment anything he spoke again.
"Mai khud bana lunga !! THANKS " he mocked a smiled na walked in to make sandwich.
"Kisika kuch jyaada asar ho rahi hai " he heard his mom and rolled his eyes.
" Haan!! Aap pe , Shashi mom ka " he shouted back as preeti chuckled hearing him'.

~~~~~ After 3 days ~~~
" Hello nani " he walked into the house gives his one of the best smiles and took her blessings.
"Rey!! kaise ho beta?? "
"Ji naani mai theek hun!! Naanu kaha hai?? "he looked around searching
" wo walk keliye gaye hai " she smiled .
"Koi kaam tha?? "
"Ji !! Kriya kaha hai?? usse baat karni hai . Ghar pe hi haina? " he asked wishing she is there. It's thursday and she has off on this day.
"Haan garden mei hai " she smiled at him and with a nod he walked into the backyard.
Kriya's house is a small yet beautiful one. A simple middle class house it was. But they had a big beautiful garden in the backyard.
As he entered he searched for her . And he glued to his place seeing her.
It was a little late in the evening. In some minutes the sun will set. The sky is slightly reddish orange illuminating the whole place and she is swinging on the swing hanging to the big neem tree in that garden. But what mesmerized him was her flying pallu. She is beautifully wrapped in the lightest color of blue and her pallu along with her hairs flowed in the air as she swayed to and fro. He looked at her legs hearing the sound and saw a pair of anklets adoring her foot . He smiled as she moved her foot up and down playing and smiling as the wind blew her hair. She rarely gets time to spend like this. Infact she is free after so many days , or to better say years.
He shook his head and mentally scolded himself for checking her out and walked towards her.
" Hey Kriya " he jumped off the 3 stairs and called her making her a bit startled.
"Ohh!! Rey! Aap yaha?? what a pleasant surprise " it sounded like a taunt to him.
"Kya hua?? aisa kyun baat kar rahi ho?? he stood a bit aside in front of her as she swayed.
" Ohh!! Woh?? Kuch nahi... actually na mai apni ek dost ko 3 din se call kar rahi hun par wo utha nahi raha tha " she mocked a smile.
"Arey sorry yaar!! Wo actually papa ki office fir se join karna chahta tha , so just catching upon things before I start you see "he walked behind her.
" itne saare messages kiya maine, ek reply toh kar sakte hai "
"arey sorry bola na baba "
"acha theek hai " she giggled.
What will he explain?? that he avoided her just to get out of that confusion?? His mom's continuous comments on one and every thing he says disturbed him more and he wanted to keep her and things related to her away for some space to think?? Should he say that?? No!!
" Toh sab ready?? kal se office?? " she asked looking back.
" Haa sab ready!! but aapki permission baaki hai , wahi lene aaya "
" meri permission?? " she giggled.
"Ji Doctor Ji !! Actually mai ye confirm karne aaya ki mai physically aur mentally fit hun ya nahi wapas join karne keliye !! " he chuckled as she rolled her eyes.
" Aapko kya hua hai?? ek dam perfect hai , jaa sakte ho "
"Rey!! push karte hai rokhthe nahi "she whinned as she stopped the swing.
"arey mujhe bhi baitna hai " he came front and she was about to get down.
"arey do log bait toh sakte hai !! Chal !! " he pulled her back and started the swing.
Both are silent for few minutes and all Rey did was push the swing more to make it move more faster. Finally when he is tired of the silence he broke the ice.
" Toh!! matter kya hai?? aaj itni khush ?? aur suddenly saree and all?? " he asked looking straight .
"Kyun achi nahi dikh rahi?? " she looked at him and he simply smiled.
"You are too beautiful!! You should often wear saree's tumpe bohut suit karte hai !! " she looked away. His eyes had some spark when he said those words . Which is for sure new to her.
" wo actually! " and she went into silence. He too sat silent looking at her giving her the time she wanted. Looking front deeply and lost in thoughts after few minutes she spoke.
"Pata hai Rey!! Mai jab bhi ispe baitthi thi , I used to be sad. I mean , ye meri mom ki fav place thi. Actually mom ko swings bohut pasand hai so papa ne mom keliye ye banaya , bohut pyaar se " she smiled thinking of those days.
" Papa ne mujhe bola, tab mai samjhi nahi thi, he used to say ki , mom ke saath ispe baitne mei unhe bohut acha lagta hai , mom ke bikre baal, unki smile swing karte waqt , wo bolte the ki unhe mom ko waisa dekhna bohut pasand hai , infact isiliye papa ne ye do logon keliye banaya ! " she chuckled.
" Papa mom ko bohut pyaar karte the , par demanding bhi the bohut , nail paint se leke saree tak unki pasand hi pehan na tha mom ko , warna ghar sar pe utha lete the " she laughed hard thinking of all the drama her dad used to do .
Rey looked at her intently. He had never seen her like this. She seemed so , calm, peaceful and happy from heart. And he said himself, he liked this Kriya more. Her hearty smile bought a glow on her face , and the sunlight made it more bright. His eyes captured ever minute action of her, right from her lips expanding and then splitting into a grin to her eyes going small and her cheeks come out as she laughed. And her soft curls falling on her face made her look serene. He looked back to see her pallu flowing back oh so beautifully.
He smiled and suddenly frowned. he looked around and at her and shook his head. What the hell is he doing??
"Thanks!! " she looked at him.
" Huh? " he barely came into his normal senses and her suddenly thank you?
" Haa. Actually jab bhi yaha aati thi mera guilt aur bhi badtha tha, but this feelings, I feel I am with my parents! Just like those days, jab mummy papa baite rehte the aur mai peeche khadi hoti thi " she looked at him and smiled wide.
"thanks for making me understand , I honestly love this feeling . "
She smiled so beautifully that his mind went blank for moment. But mentally slapping himself he smiled back.
" Arrey don't be, I did what I felt I should. that's it !! waise kriya " he sighed.
" haan! batayiye baat kya hai ?? " she asked seeing his hesitation.
"woh actually mai bas tumhe ye teen din avoid karna chahta tha " he said sighing. He wanted to say to someone and none is better than her.
" mujhe avoid kyun?? " she pouted dramatically.
"Arey dekho wo kya hai na , Shashi mom ko lagta hai ki , we , I mean mai aur tum... like humare beech, you know "he shrugged.
" Actually unki bhi galti nahi, mai usually ladkiyon se itna close nahi hun jitna tumse hun!! But yaar tu meri best friend hai chalta haina?? par unhe lagta hai ki humare beech kuch aur hi hai aur mom bhi unki gaana gaa rahi hai. Bas mai toh disturb hogaya. Agar tumse baat karta toh mom ki comments shuru hojate hai so I just avoided. Sorry " he said pursing his lips together and looking at her cutely .
Somewhere deep inside her heart she felt a bit dissapointed as she is nothing for him. Atleast not in that sense. But she knows how to hold and control her feelings and she did accept long back that she cannot him with him. He doesn't love her, so she better keep everything till best friends.
"Hmm!! no problem!! I can understand !! " she smiled
" Dekha!! Isiliye tum mujhe bohut pasand ho ! tere alawa koi meri point of view samjhta hi nahi hai yaar " he hugged her tight sidewards quickly.
Kriya just shook her head and giggled at his dramatic cribbing.
