Friends, I'm back with the another Maha-Episode. Hope you all like this.

On his way back he thinks about all the past incidents.
Sameer: to us kamine ko pehle se shaq tha... aur wo mujhe bina bataye... meri hi setting Annu se karwa raha tha...(smiles) ... ye Rawte bhi na... jaan nikal di thi meri saley ne... par galti meri hi thi... mujhe pehle hi samajh jana chahiye tha... usko koi aur dost to hai hi nahi... mere siva... (get emotional)... ab pata nahi Maa ka kya reaction hoga... pata nahi Maa ko kaise shaq ho gaya (suddenly remembers that Arjun talked to Suman and Savita in the room)... ek minute... kahi Arjun ne hi to Maa ko sab nahi bataya? Aur ye sab usi ki wajah se to nahi hua... ARJUN!!!!!... kamine ne ek baar to mujhe se baat kar li hoti...ek mauka nahi chhodta ye mujhe pareshan karne ka... isko to mai dekh loonga... (annoyed at this thought)
He reaches home by 4:30 since there was not much traffic.
As soon as he reaches home, his mom orders him to get ready for the party and he quietly goes to his room and calls Arjun.

Arjun is going through a file when his phone rings. He looks at it smirks. Its Sameer calling him.
Arjun: Haan Rathod!!!
Sameer: Arjun... tuney Maa ko bataya?
Arjun: kis barey mein?
Sameer: Dont try my patience... Annu ne mujhe bataya ki tuney hume us din parking mein dekh liya tha... aur mujhe pakka yakeen hai ki tuney hi Ma ke paas jaake chugli ki hogi ... sach bata...
Arjun: Sam, is barey mein hum mil kar baat karenge... abhi mai nikal hi raha hoon office se... Bye..
Arjun disconnects the call before Sameer could say anything more. Sameer is annoyed. He continues with calling up the party organiser for the final preparations and getting ready for the party.

Arjun comes to the discussion room where everybody is ready to leave.
Arjun: bye team... I'm leaving... tum log bhi nikal rahey ho na?
Everybody nods in "yes".
Arjun: good... Riya... mai tumhe drop kar deta hoon... I'll wait for u in the parking.
Arjun turns and leaves and others pass a naughty smile to Riya teasing her. Riya is embarrassed. She too was looking for a chance to talk to Arjun since the time she saw him talking to Annu at Sameer's place in balcony. So she decides to take this up with him.
Riya gets into Arjun's car. On the way to her home, Arjun strikes the conversation.
Arjun: tumhe shayad ajeeb laga hoga ki maine achanak is tarah tumhe drop karne ka offer kiya... hai na?
Riya(embarrassed): aisa kuch nahi hai sir...
Arjun: jaisa bhi hai... par aaj aisa karne ke peechhe ek wajah hai Riya... mujhe tumse ek bahut important baat karni hai...
Riya: sir mujhe bhi aapse kuch poochhna hai...
Arjun: yehi na ki aaj meri Annu se kya baat huyi?
Riya nods in "yes".
Arjun: mujhe isi barey mein baat karni hai tumse...mai janta hoon tumhare dil mein bahut se sawaal honge...aur isse pehle ki tum kuch poochho... mai khud hi tumhare sawaalon ke jawaab de deta hoon... aur ab mai jo tumhe batane wala hoon... wo bahut dhyaan se sun-na... [Riya gets a little conscious]...Maine Anwesha se baat kar li hai... Maine apne jis dost k barey mein baat ki thi... wo koi aur nahi... Rathod hai...[Riya is surprised]... haan... ACP Sameer Rathod...
Riya: sir... lekin Rathod sir Anwesha di se shadi kyun karenge? mujhe nahi lagta ki aisa ho sakta hai... aur ab to Di bhi apne ek friend ko pasand karti hain... jisne unhe propose kiya hai... [shakes her head] ... nahi... mujhe nahi lagta ki humein ye baat agey badhani chahiye... Rathod sir kya sochenge?
Arjun(grins): Anwesha ne kabhi tumhe apne us friend ka naam bataya?
Riya: nahi ...bataya to nahi... par aap kyun poochh rahey hain?
Arjun: Riya tumhe kuch ajeeb nahi laga? pichhle Thursday aur Friday ko hi Anwesha hospital mein der tak ruki thi kisi friend ki help ke liye aur Saturday ko bhi gayi thi... [Riya is confused]... aur wohi days ko Rathod bhi jaldi ghar gaya tha aur Saturday ko to wo office bhi nahi aaya tha? Aur coincidentally Anwesha ka hospital Rathod ke ghar ke samne hi hai?
Riya: to? is sab ka kya matlab hai?
Arjun: nahi samjhi? samjhaun?
Riya gives him an angry look. She hates it when he says his "Samjhe ya samjhaun"
Arjun: Rathod hi uska wo dost hai Riya... dono ek dusre ko pasand kartey hain... aur wo Rathod hi hai jisne Anwesha ko propose kiya hai...
Riya is shocked.
Riya: aisa kaise ho sakta hai? ye sach nahi hai... Rathod sir... Anwesha Di...Sir ne Di ko propose... meri kuch samajh mein nahi aa raha hai sir... aur aapko ye sab kaise pata?
Arjun: Rathod ko mai saalon se jaanta hoon... hum best friends they...(emotional)... hain...(quickly getting to normal)... yaad nahi... Anwesha k birthday par wo kitna excited tha? kaise bahana bana kar usey lunch par le gaya... apni Maa ke liye Anwesha ki choice ki saree bhi li... aur agar mai galat nahi hoon... to usine Anwesha ko convince kiya hoga ki wo party mein ... aur party ke baad...tumhe hurt na karey... Aur Anwesha ... 3 din tak usi ki help karne jati thi... kyunki uske maa - Papa aane wale they... Aur mera shaq yakeen mein tab badla jab maine un dono ko us din saath mei dekha jab wo log shopping karke lautey they...
Riya remembers all these incidents and the Saree.
Riya: Ohh my god!!!... sir ek baat aur hai... Rathod sir ne us din Di ko gift diya tha na... wo ek bahur sundar aur expensive saree thi... jo usi din unhone Di se zabardasti try karwayi thi aur fir unse chhupa kar li thi... aur yahi nahi... Rathod sir ne Di ko ye bhi kaha ki ... wo chahtey hain... ki Di wo saree unki Maa ke birthday party par pehne...
Arjun(smirks): wow... kaafi tayari kar rakhi hai Chief ne... to ... kaise lagey tumhe tumhare jija ji?
Riya is still in a state of shock. She still couldnt believe it. She is happy, excited and at the same time worried too.
Arjun: fikar mat karo Riya... Rathod ko tum achchhi tarah se janti hi ho... aur aaj uske parents se bhi tum mil hi chuki ho... He is the right person for Anwesha... is mein koi doubt nahi hai...
Riya is in tears.
Arjun: kya hua? tumhe koi problem hai?
Riya(chokes a little): nahi sir... Rathod sir jaisa achchha insaan meri Di ki zindagi mein aaya hai... to fir fikar karne ki kya baat ho sakti hai... wo mai Di ke bare mein soch kar humesha pareshan rehti thi na... par ab sari pareshani door ho gayi hai...mai bahut khush hoon sir... par kabhi kabhi humein itni khushi milti hai ki wo sambhalti nahi hai... aur aansu ban ke chhalak padti hai... (wipes her tears) I'm really happy... Annu Di bahut lucky hain...par kya Rathod sir ke parents ko ye rishta manzoor hoga?
Arjun(looks at her for a moment): unhe Annu pasand hai... (smiles)... par abhi usey ye mat batana ki maine tumhe sab bata diya hai...
Riya(flashing her dimpled smile): bilkul nahi... itna bada secret chhupaya mujhse... itni asaani se nahi chhodungi unko... unko khud ye baat mujhe batani hogi.
They reach her home. Arjun drops her and goes to the lodge.
Riya goes inside and pretends as if she doesn't know anything.
Annu was in a double problem. She also had to face Riya now. She knew that Riya respected Sameer but she was still not sure how would she react to this news. But Riya keeps on blabbering about her office talks and other silly things and doesn't give Annu a chance to speak up.
They get ready for the party. Riya notices that Annu is wearing the same saree that Rathod had given her and completely accessorized her look and is trying to look good, which she never did.
They leave for the party.

Arjun goes to the lodge, gets ready and leave for Sameer's place.

Sometime back, two happy souls were enjoying their game of chess and their casual chit chat. This was disturbed by the poking session by the ladies of the house when they targetted Sameer.
All the while when Suman was poking Sameer DSR was feeling sorry for Sameer but when the truuth was revealed he was happy too. And he knew that something is going on in Suman's mind.
He too had observed Anwesha since morning. He found her to be very sweet and simple natured girl. After knowing the truth, he was sure that she is the perfect life partner for Sameer.
After Sameer and Anwesha left, Mr Rathod and Mr Rawte resumed their game of chess. Along with it, DSR thought to talk to Suman about Sameer and Annu.
DSR: kya Suman ji... kyun aisa karti ho? dekha nahi bachchon ka chehra kaise utar gaya tha?
SKR: Haan bhabhi ... pehli baar Sameer ko aise dekha... bechara...kitna pareshan tha... aisi bhi kya narazgi?
Suman(pouts): to??... itni badi baat mujhse chhupayi... itni pyari bahu pasand ki mere liye aur bataya bhi nahi...naaraz nahi houngi mai?
DSR: ohho... surprise dena chahta tha...
Suman(sacrcastically): bada pyar aa raha hai apne laadley par?
DSR: kyun ? tumhara ladla nahi hai wo?
Suman(mellows down a little, but still upset): ye ladka bhi na... pehle bata deta to aaj hi unki sagayi bhi kar deti... mauka hi nahi deti... bhaagne ka aur faisla badalne ka...
DSR: ohho... sagayi nahi to kya... hum sagayi announce kar dete hain... kyun?
Suman's face lights up hearing this.
Savita: Haan Didi... bhai sahab bilkul theek keh rahey hain...
Suman: hmmm... ab dekhti hoon kaise bhagta hai wo... (smiles)
DSR: haaye... kab se aapki ye muskaan dekhne ko aakhein taras gayi thi...ab isi baat par ek chai ho jaye... kyun Rawte?
SKR: bilkul Rathod...
And they get back to their game and their chit chat on politics, current affairs and sports and how things have changed from their times to now.
Suman and Savita smile at the antics of their husbands. They call Mona to join them for tea.
Later Savita tells Suman that Arjun gave her the keys of their apartment. Both the ladies go there and check the apartment for any plumbing air electricity problems. Mr and Mrs Rawte plan to stay in this apartment for few days. They come back at around 4:30 after making some arrangements and Sameer is also back by then. Suman tells him and Mona to get ready.

A little while back.
She had got her elder brother's love story on track. And after the elders got into their conversation, she quietly moved to guest room and sat thinking about him.
She found him cute, innocent and simple. "Chhotu"... Mona chuckled at his nickname. It was in contrast to his size.
She became friends with other team members but she found Chhotu to be very shy. Everytime she tried to mingle with him, she noticed he was looking at Sameer. She chuckled at this thought too, that Chhotu is scared of chief.
Her chain of thoughts were interrupted when her mom called her for tea. After that she again drift back to his thoughts and later around 4:30 PM, she goes to get ready after reminder from Mom.

Around same time in ETF office, when Arjun was busy with some old case, Riya was busy updating her reasearch papers and Shree - Navika were busy looking at each other and passing smiles, Chhotu was the only one who was not able to concentrate on his work.
He was thinking about Mona. Though he was scared that Mona turned out to be his Chief's sister but he was very happy that she came forward and talked to him. He felt very funny that she used to notice him at the gym. They were sitting close to each other while having lunch.
He was re-living the moments during the lunch when she was serving him first, whenever she was taking some food for herself. She also offered him water when he choked on some spicy curry. He found her very sweet and caring.
He had seen a sparkle in her eyes when he was talking to her. Her smile her, bubbly nature, her attitude, everything made an impression on him. He was waiting for the party to get a glimpse of her again. Though he was not sure if he should think about going close to her.

Around 4:45 PM, Mr DSR and Mr SKR were still playing chess and get scolding from their wives and then they get ready.

All are ready by 5:45 PM and Arjun too come there around the same time.
Suman is wearing the same saree that Annu selected for her.
Before leaving Suman and Savita don't forget to light a diya in front of Roshni's photo in Arjun's apartment. Both the ladies get emotional remembering her.
Sameer glares at Arjun but he gets the call from Party organiser and they have to leave for the venue. He didn't get a chance to talk to Arjun. Arjun smirks at this.

Everyone reaches at the Party venue by 7:15 PM.
Rathod family, Rawte Family, Riya, Annu, Shree, Navika, Chhotu, Mr and Mrs Coelho and Mr and Mrs Raghu and their families and some other acquaintances.
