Chapter VIII
The gang was excited and nervous about their respective new roles. For two as lovers and the rest as cupids. Swayam had told sharon that he would pick her up the previous day, and since it was their first day of eternal togetherness, they wanted it to be special for each other. Swayam had made sure everything was perfect, and sharon busied herself in making something for him She'd told him to come early, her reason being she had work in college. And so, he woke up, a huge grin covering his face. As he recounted the incidents the previous day, his heaart raced happily. He was happy surprised and pleased. He looked at the clock and his happy turned into horror, as he realized or rather thought that he was running late. He hurried through his daily business and then grabbing his car keys and bag, ran out. He reached ber house an estimated five minutes before the actual time, and bought out the bouquet of orchids he'd bought for sharon. He knocked at her door and was welcomed in by sharon. He gave her the bouquet and smiled at her. She looked at him beaming and went to his side, bouquet in one hand and his hand in the other. She lead him inside, and he was pretty surprised at her gestures. She led him to the breakfast table and made him sit. She then blindfolded him and when he squirmed, kept her finger on his lips and asked him to stay still. She laid out the table, setting up a candle in the middle and the breakfast,she'd put much effort into making. She then slowly removed the blindfold and waited for his reaction.
What he saw surprised him, and made him feel special, he saw a heart shaped card tied to a red rose addressed to him. It read: 'To the most special person of my life, my Swayam. Thanks is too little a word for the patience and the love you've showered on me. To show my love for you is this little breakfast that I prepared myself. My first gift. Yours forever, Sharon'. He looked at her and then stood up and pulled her into a hug. He whispered, "I loved it" into her ears making her efforts worthwhile. She smiled as she pulled away from him and served him breakfast. She'd maade the same breakfast as he Had. He made her sit beside him. As she looked on at him eating, tryingto judge from his reactionhow was her cooking. He looked at her and showed three fingers to say it was excellent. She beamed, and that made his day. He cut a piece of his egg and fed her. As they locked eyes, they forgot about the food, all that they thought was about each other, about them. Their future like this. Love shown in every gesture. They wished and prayed that they stayed like this till the end of their lives.
The clattering of the fork bought them back to their senses. Swayam looked and the time and was shocked. They were late! "Sharon hum college ke liye late ho raahe hai" he said looking at her. She was still lost in her dreams, "Jaana zaruri hai kya?" she asked. He looked at her and understood what she wanted, his eyes softened as he shook his head and said, "Nahi, kahin nahi, tumhare bina". As their foreheads touched they smiled, dreaming of a life full of the same love, living by each others side.
Meanwhile in st.louis:
The gang was anxious. They had to start phase one of their plan, and both of them were missing. "Yaar ye dono kahan reh gayi?" nil cursed pacinng up and down the rehearsal hall. "Taani, Swayam where going?" neha asked sad that she couldn't display her dramatic skills. "Bhai ne subah subah nikal gaye the, kaha tha kuch zaruri kaam tha" Taani replied, confused as to where her brother had gone. "Sharon bhi aise hi kuch kaha aaj subah, jab meine call kiya...pata nahi wo kya kar rahi thi, bahot sshor tha background mein, seemed like she waas cooking" Simmi mused. "Kya? Sharon cooking? Par sharon tho sirf uski dad ke liye cook karthi thi na?" Rinni asked confused. "haan phir kyun aaj cooking types kar rahi thi?" aashi contemplated. "pata nahi, maybe for a change she was cooking or maybe I must have mistaken something else for cooking" Simmi said. "Guys wait! Swayam bhi nahi aaya, Sharon bhi nahi aayi, aur sharon aaj cook kar rahi thi, kahin ye dono patch up..." Vicky speculated. The gang just gave him a long look and started laughing. "Wo ho hi nahi saktha...kya baat kar raha hai tu?" nil chortled. As the gang laughed our two lover birds walked in hand in hand until they reached the rehearsal hall, content in each other's presence. "kya ho raha hai, tum log Hass kyun rahe ho?" Swayam asked curious. "Kuch nai, wo hum aap dono.." nil started when Simmi hit him on his back to silence him and gave a grin. "Aap dono ke intezaar kar rahe the hum aur Vicky ne kuch bola so..." rey managed the situation. "So rehearsals shuru karein?" Sharon asked. "Actually bhai, ek kaam hai aapke liye...ndc ki semis ke liye Hume kuch formalities puri karne hai, aur mujhe bohot kaam hai college mein, so as ACS aap aur Cs dono formalities puri karni hai teek hai na?" Taani asked him pulling out a tiny puppy dog face. "Haan aur mujhe Taani ko help karni hai so mein bhi busy hoon" rey chimed in. "Teek hai mein karunga" Swayam agreed. "Par Cs types tho mein hoon, tho aap kahiye Hume kab jaana hai, mein taiyaar hoon" aashi stepped forward, giving him one of the most shyest and flirty type looks she could manage. Sharon who was silent all this while automatically replied, "Tum kyun jaa rahi ho? Mein jaaungi!" she said a bit possessively. "Par tum Cs nahi ho na sharon, so let aashi go" Simmi tried coaxing her. "Par mein iss group ka manager hoon aur mein CS thi, so I should go" sharon fumed. Sharon heardher phone vibrate, fuming a bit more she opened the text which read 'Jealous much? ;)' she looked at Swayam who pretended like he was interested in his phone. Swayam's phone beeped and he took a look, 'Jealous my foot! ' she'd replied. Smirking to himself he slid his phone into his pocket glancing at sharon who gave him a very sarcastic smile. "Par aap CS thi, mein Cs types hoon, so mujhe jaana chahiye" aashi spoke up. "I think she's got a point" rey said thoughtfully. The rest of the gang except Swayam nodded and repeated"She's got a point". "Guys now listen, aap sab ko yaad hai dance camp mein kya hua? Shivam..." "Cheevam" nil corrected "Fine shivam gs the aur un logon pata nahi tha ki shivam gs the aur unhe rey ko sign karne ke liye bulaya?" Swayam stepped in. "Oh haan" the gang nodded. "yes so mujhe lag raha hai ki sharon mere saath aani hai, kyunki un logo ko nahi pata hoga na ki aashi humari Cs hai aur sharon nahi, hum ndc mein jab enter Hui jab sharon Cs thi." he convinced them, giving a smart smirk to sharon as if to say "Dekha, meine kar diya". Sharon just gave a relieved smile and then faked a diva like face as if to say "So what, koi baat nahi hai proud hone ka". Taani spoke up thoughtfully, "Ok so hum ye karein, sharon bhai aur aashi, teeno jaake wo formalities puri kar dijiye, then koi confusion ya problem nahi hogi na?" she asked a small smile lighting up her face. Just as the gang started to nod in agreement sharon spoke, "Nahi, mein aur swayam jaaungi akele mein, formalities puri kar denge aur aaungi, aur koi nahi aani hai!" she spoke with such authority that none would dare to argue after that. "Ok so its decided, sharon aur Swayam jaayengi aur hum abh rehearsals karenge, just like we planned" rey summed it up. Sharon and Swayam raised an eyebrow questioningly. "Ye sab plan tha?" sharon asked. Rey bit his tongue and made a quick save as the gang shot murderous glances towards him. "Wo actually kya hai na, meine mera din ko plan kiya, you know itna kaam hai aur thoda tho planning karni hai na" he replied quickly. "Tum kab se plan karna shuru kiya?" swayam asked confused. "Abh se, koi problem hai, chodo na, abh tum dono jao aur formalities puri kar do before its too late" he said ushering swaron towards the door. "Haan bhai mein aap se deatils batati hoon abhi" Taani said hurriedly to save rey and went over to distract them. As they left with Taani the gang sighed a huge sigh of relief. Taani gave them the deatils and ran off to see the VP. "looks like someone's getting jealous" he smirked at her. "Jealous my foot" she stuck her tongue out and left to get dressed. Once they were set, they set off to the place Taani had given them, on his cycle of course.
Meanwhile God decided to send a gift of His own. And so it came in the form of rain. Rain the perfect gift for many things in this world. Happiness, romance, masti, you name it. Thunder rolled across the sky as it turned grey and became overcast with clouds, shutting out all the sunlight, as the two lovers set out on their mission. Sharon and Swayam both dressed in blue. Dark blue which was considered to be formal as well as stood for depth and intensity. "We match." he smiled. "Yes we do, tum mein aur humare pyaar ki witness bhi" she said and chuckled. He looked at his cycle, and sure enough, his cycle also matched them. "Perfect." he winked, "Tum bohot achi lag rahi ho aaj" he spoke. Sharon blushed and looked at him. "What the hell Swayam?! Mein tumhari girlfriend hoon ya wo cycle?" she yelled when she saw Swayam crooning and patting his cycle, dreamily like a lover boy. He came closer to her until he was just a few centimetres away from her. He leaned in close , closer, until she could feel his breath on her cheeks. Needless to say, her heart thumped unevenly and rapidly as he inched close. "Tum khoobsurat ho" he breathed. And after skimming the tip of his nose lightly across her cheeks, he pulled away smirking. As she opened her eyes shyly blushing a bit and smiling, there was longing too deep in her eyes. "I want our first kiss to be special sharon" he said reading her eyes. "Meine kab kiss ke baare mein kaha?" she asked. "You didn't your eyes did" he replied reaching across to stroke her red cheeks. "Meine kuch nahi kahungi kyunki meine mujhse promise kiya hai ki jo tum chahe wo mein karungi" she said, as she sat on the cycle in between his arms just like that day."Ye kab hua?" he asked, as he started riding to the venue. "Uss din jab tune mujhe meditation sikhaya" she replied. "Mein meditation shikhaya? Meine cd diya.." he told confused. "Haan wahi, tune cd diya aur wo medical room incident ke baad mujhe itna gussa aa raha tha ki meine wo cd play kiya aur tum tv mein tha, meine wo Baba ko nai par tumhe dekha, Baba ki attire mein, aur mein tv ke samne betkar pagal ki tarah confess kiya aur promise bhi" she said animatedly and a bit shyly when it came to the confession part. "wo tho hai" he said. "Kya tho hai?" she asked. "tum thoda pagal ho, my crazy siren" he replied chuckling a bit. "Waise kaise sikhaya mein?" he asked. "Bohot achi. Meri saari confusions clear kar diya tune. Best baba in the world" she declared. "Sach?" "Much". "best assistant to best Baba...kya baat hai Swayam...abh best boyfriend banke dikha" he talked to himself. "Wo tho tum already ho, best boyfriend, best partner, best in everything" she said. He just smiled in acceptance and lightly kissed her forehead and they rode, complimenting and completing each other.
