"C'mon Virgin Mary, let's get you a drink,"
Khushi's P.O.V
I slipped the blouse over my head, flattening it down and tucking it into my pencil skirt. It was my dad's fiftieth birthday today ' and to celebrate he was having a 'gathering' tonight at the local community centre.
I ran my fingers through my hair trying to make it look half decent. Normally I wear my hair up ' but it is a special occasion ' so why not let it down, then again my dad will probably think differently.
"Khushi, we're leaving hurry up," my father scolded from downstairs. I quickly checked myself over one more time before running downstairs. Dad, mum and Rohit were all by the front door
"I'm just coming, jeez," I mumbled under my breath, making sure my dad didn't hear me. It was his birthday after all. Rohit looked shifty ' an unreadable expression on his face. I made a mental note in my head to ask about him as soon as I could speak to him on my own.
Ever since my little, or massive in my case, encounter with Arnav (which by the way I couldn't stop thinking about) Rohit had been acting shifty, something was up ' and I was determined to find out what.
"Why is your hair down Khushi Kumari," Kumari was my middle name, and dad had a stupid habit of calling me by both my first and second name ' some kind of power thing I think. My mum quickly scolded him swatting her hand in the air dismissing him.
"Don't mind him Khushi, you look beautiful honey," my mum smiled reassuringly as she hushed us all out of the door, locking it behind her.
We all piled into the car. I and Rohit sat in the back of the car silently as my parents mindlessly chatted about unimportant things on a Saturday night, well it might be important to them ' or so they think.
We arrived at the community centre, parking just outside in a reserved spot, the perks of being a vicar's daughter ' ha. My parents walked on ahead inside as I pulled Rohit back by the sleeves of his jacket.
"Why are you so shifty?" I exclaimed raising my eyebrows. "I'm fine," he dismissed shaking his head and continuing to walk on ahead. I stopped him again ' I wasn't letting this open go that easily.
"I'm not stupid Ry," I crossed my arms over my chest trying to show some kind of powerful stance, but failed miserably. "Are you in trouble?" I asked my tone softer. "It's nothing for you to worry about," he reassured.
But I did worry.
His phone beeped, he dug his phone out of his jacket pocket as he read the text on the screen. His eyes widened slightly as a worried expression masked his face. "Look I've got to go, cover for me please," he asked a desperate hint in his voice. I nodded.
"Thanks, I owe you one," he smiled quickly kissing me on the cheek before turning around and walking the opposite direction. I let out an audible sigh as I reluctantly walked into the community centre.
Already there were lots of people packed inside, some dancing to the quiet (and heavily religious) music on the make shift dance floor. Some were by the buffet and some were mindlessly chatting to each other.
I spotted NK, thankful that I wouldn't have to spend the night by myself ' like usual. I walked over to him, a smile spreading across his face as he spotted me. "Wow Khushi, you look beautiful," he grinned complimenting me as I felt a faint blush creep on my cheeks. "Thanks NK."
_______________________________________________________________________
The 'party' had been going on for a couple of hours. I had spent most of my time chatting to NK and occasionally saying 'hello' to my dad's endless list of friends.
"Do you want to dance?" NK asked. I wasn't really one to dance, but I couldn't exactly turn him down. I was about to reply when a familiar raspy voice spoke up. "Actually I was hoping I could steal her away for a bit," I turned on my heel to see Arnav with a slight grin on his face. "We won't be long," he reassured. "I'll have her back safe and sound" he snickered as NK's eyebrows shot up an uncertain expression masking his face. "Sure, I guess" NK stuttered, so I wasn't the only one intimated by Arnav.
Without a second glance, and without my permission, Arnav took my hand leading me through the crowd and out of the community centre. "What are you doing?" I exclaimed stopping myself from walking any further. I couldn't leave; my dad would go ballistic if he found out.
"Rohit told me you were at this boring party so I decided to come and whisk you away," he teased his lips tugging into a smirk. "My dad," I stuttered trying to process what was happening. "My dad will kill me if he finds out," I emphasised kill making his eyes darken ever so slightly.
"Always playing by the rules," he tsked shaking his head. "Just have a bit of fun," he said dismissing my earlier comments. "I don't recall you stopping me yesterday," he smirked, instantly making my cheeks go bright red.
"You look hot tonight," he said his eyes trailing down my body making me squirm. "Your hair looks better down," he twirled a strand of my hair round his finger before letting it fall loose around my face.
"So are you coming or what," he jabbed his thumb behind him motioning towards his car. Would my dad really notice my disappeared presence? Knowing him he probably would. But I couldn't help but nod my head as I steadily followed him to his car.
I hesitantly opened the car door, sliding in and letting out an audible sigh. "Relax," he said, repeating himself from when we were back in the field after church.
Another time he had 'led me astray'. What was this boy doing to me?
"Where are we going?" I spoke up, breaking the looming silence. "A real party," he rasped a slight smirk on the edge of his lips, a real party? What with alcohol? "I don't know if that's a good idea" I admitted sheepishly. My dad would flip if he ever found out I had even been in the presence of alcohol.
"I'm sure one drink won't do any harm Virgin Mary," he teased letting out a snicker as I rolled my eyes heavily.
After about ten minutes of driving, we finally arrived at a house that looked oddly familiar. It was the house where I first met Arnav. But unlike the first time I saw it, the house was now more visible and music thudded out of it.
"Let's go," Arnav announced, getting out of the car making me mirror his actions. I followed close behind him as we entered the booming house.
It was completely different from the party I had been experiencing almost an hour ago. Bodies were clustered together dancing (provocatively may I add) and the smell of alcohol and drugs were evident. Arnav must've noticed my apprehensiveness as he gently squeezed my hand reassuringly.
"C'mon Virgin Mary, let's get you a drink," he smirked leading me through the drunken crowds. People in the crowd spotted Arnav one after one clapping hands with him and obnoxiously shouting
'Raizada' as girls intently stared eyeing Arnav, immediately making me feel uncomfortable.
We came to a hault as Arnav hastily handed me a red cup full of liquid. Alcohol for sure, but of what kind I had no idea. "I'm not so sure," I said hesitantly.
"Arnav," a girl appeared at his side interrupting me from him speaking. She had dirty long blonde hair, extensions no doubt ' and from the looks of them they were extremely cheap. Her make-up clad face made her look like she had just stepped out of one of those vulgar clubs. She wore a short mini skirt and a tight top crop not leaving much to the imagination.
Looking around I didn't fit in at all. Most girls were in the same attire as this lovely (trashy) blonde by Arnav's side, and I was quite the opposite. My skirt reached my knees and theirs just about covered their behind.
"Lavanya," he greeted a smirk etching on his lips as he looked her up and down licking his lips. A small feeling in my stomach unnerved me, I wasn't jealous ' was I? I brushed the feeling off looking down at the floor and trying to distract myself somehow from the uncomfortable situation.
"You were meant to come round yesterday," she said sulkily putting her lower lip out pouting as if she was a baby who just got denied their toys. Arnav's gaze fell on me a slight snicker flying from his mouth "Yeah, I got held up," he smirked as I felt myself blush lightly ' luckily the lighting was somewhat dark so hopefully it wasn't too noticeable.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have a freshman to look after," he announced fixing his gaze on me making the girl scoff as she looked down in disgust at me, she flicked her hair behind her as she walked off.
Look after? What was I, a baby? Then again compared to him, I guess I was.
I had to keep on reminding myself he was eighteen, a whole three years older than me. I could just see my dad now, red smoke coming out of his ears as he shouted willingly at me. If he ever found out ' I was for it.
"So what about this drink? He said taking his own cup, putting it to his lips as he threw it down his throat tipping his head back slightly. I stood perplexed staring up at him through my lashes biting down absentmindedly on my lip ' trying to think of some sort of excuse on why I shouldn't intoxicate myself with this poison.
He groaned slightly his thumb trailing of my lower lip "Don't bite your lip," he murmured as he unattached my lip from my teeth. "Unless you want me to take you right now," he growled making me nervously gulp. He ran his fingers through my hair, as he pulled me closer pulling on my hair slightly so that I was staring up at him.
"I think we need to make you a little less innocent, don't you?" he rasped his mouth nearing mine as I felt my knees go weak once again. Losing all control over what I was doing. In my head I was backing away, after all I shouldn't be here let alone interacting with someone like him. But my body seemed stuck in place, I was frozen and had become a victim of his charm.
"What the f**k are you doing Raizada," I heard a familiar voice roar from behind me, making me immediately spring apart from Arnav. I turned on my heel to see an angry looking Rohit, his face a beetroot red ' almost like me when I blush.
"Chill out Gupta, I was nowhere near her," Arnav said raising his hands slightly in mock defence. "I told you to look after her, not shove your tongue down her throat" he spat standing in front of me protectively.
Again with the 'look after' what were they talking about? "C'mon Khushi, dad's gonna freak," Rohit grumbled taking my hand and leading me out of the house without a second glance back at Arnav.
Arnav's P.O.V
I was left amused at the sight that had just unravelled before me. Rohit had unwillingly dragged Khushi away leaving me now alone, but by the sights of some of these girls ' not for long.
He had called me up; he was sorting out things with Marco. Marco wanted out of the whole 'gang' thing. But there was only one way in and one way out. And the way out wasn't pretty. I had Rohit deal with it, so he wanted to watch over his sister.
He didn't want me to actually interact with her ' but what can I say, I'm not one to play by the rules. Plus from our encounter yesterday, how was I meant to stay away from her? She might be a freshman but she could sure as hell make out ' and extremely good at that.
She's hot, and her innocence makes me even more attracted to her. I want to be the one to take it away from her, take her to place she doesn't even know exist. And with her inexperience that wasn't going to be difficult.
I spotted Lavanya in the crowd as she sent a sultry wink my way, motioning me over with her finger. I had a lot planned to teach Khushi, but that was going to have to wait till tomorrow. I walked over to her grabbing her waist pulling her into me.
She wrapped her elongated manicured nails around my neck digging in slightly as she smashed her lips on mine an audible moan escaping her lips.
But for some reason the only girl I could picture in my mind was little freshman; Khushi Kumari Gupta.

"It's a hickey,"
Khushi's P.O.V
The iridescent sun streamed into my bedroom window as I inwardly groaned turning over in my bed and trying (but failing) to go back to sleep. I brought my knees up as I sat up sleepily wiping my eyes with the backs of my hands.
I had got in late last night, much to my father's dismay. But luckily Rohit covered up for me, saying that I didn't feel well so he took me home from the party. He seemed to believe it (luckily) because that was an adrenaline rush I didn't want to experience again.
My phone was placed on my bedside table, flashing a vibrant red, indicating that I had a text. But who it was from was anyone's guess. I only had three contacts, Mum, Dad and Rohit. My dad had told me I wasn't allowed one till I was sixteen.
But a couple of months I managed to persuade him to let me have one, for safety reasons. I needn't have bothered though because he only lets me have three contacts meaning I can't text my friends anyway. I picked it up typing in the password (that my dad created for me) and clicked messages as an unknown number popped up on the screen.
Last night didn't go as I planned. I'll pick you up at 12 and I'll teach you a few more things ;)
It didn't take a genius to figure who it was that had text me. But how he got my number was a mystery. I'm guessing from Rohit's phone, but he must've done it without him knowing because Rohit would probably rather die than let Arnav have my number.
Ever since Friday, I couldn't get what he had told me out of my head. "I've got a lot more to teach you,". It had whirled round my head a few too many times, but it wasn't something that I could simply forget.
What did he want to teach me? And why was I excited by his words? That thought alone is the biggest sin I've committed and it scared me to think what could happen. And now he was actually setting a place, to teach me those unforeseen things.
I sat up against my headboard for awhile as I thought over my options. Today was Sunday, meaning it was church. And dad wouldn't let me skip, not unless I was ill. Could I really pretend I was sick just to meet a boy (who my father definitely didn't approve of) and for him to teach me things? I blushed irrationally at the thought.
I was going crazy.
My mum wandered in drawing the curtains turning to me. "Honey are you alright, you look warm?" she said rushing to my side as she flattened out her hand on my forehead checking my temperature. Yes, sorry I was just thinking about a senior boy teaching me insolent things ' ha she'd have a fit.
"I'm not really feeling well," I told her feigning some sort of distressed look. Acting wasn't really my forte so I wasn't sure how well this was going to work out. She looked down at me an unreadable expression masking her face as if she was thinking.
"You do seem quite warm," she admitted removing her hand from my forehead, "were about to go to church, is it alright if you stay here by yourself?" she asked a worried look crossing her face. I nodded slowly; "Yeah, I'll be fine," I meekly smiled. She nodded giving me a small kiss on the forehead before walking out and shutting the door behind her.
Phew ' how did I pull that off? I shook my head trying to get rid of the guilty feelings I was currently experiencing.
As soon as I heard the front door close and the engine of the car start up I jumped out of bed running into the shower. It was currently half eleven, meaning I only had half an hour to get ready.
Once I was finished in the shower I dried myself quickly sauntering over to my wardrobe as I tried to pick something out to wear. Never had I been this picky over what I would wear. Normally I just threw some random items not really giving too much thought.
I picked out a black lace top (originally meant to be for formal occasions) shrugging it on and matching it with a summery floral skirt. It wasn't what my dad would exactly call appropriate. But I wasn't planning on him seeing me in it. I dried my hair, checking myself over in the mirror as I combed through my hair trying to make it look somewhat presentable.
He had said that my hair looked nice down. But I ignored my thoughts at the back of my head (who wanted to impress Arnav) and grabbed a hair tie, tying it up. The sound of a car pulling up interrupted me from my distant daydreaming as I quickly bolted it downstairs, checking myself over one more time in the kitchen mirror as I opened the door and walked out.
Arnav was leant up against his car, a familiar smirk on his plump lips. He had a pair of ink black skinny jeans on and a white plaid shirt on. As usual his hair was spiked to perfection and as usual he looked extremely good looking.
"So you actually skipped Church," he smirked seeming surprised. "Don't remind me," I muttered shaking my head. I was deeply ashamed, and I knew I shouldn't be here. But for some stupid and indescribable reason I just can't stay away.
"So are you ready," he challenged his smirk growing across his face. I timidly nodded walking round to the passenger side of the car, sliding in and silently praying that my dad wouldn't find out. I can't imagine what would happen if he did.
"Are you always this nervous?" he snickered starting the engine up and driving out of the parking spot. "My dad will kill me if he finds out" I admitted sheepishly playing with my fingers as I kept my gaze down onto my lap.
"Relax," he echoed the familiar phrase as his hand went to my knee giving it a slight squeeze as it travelled up my thigh making me tense automatically. His thumb rubbed in a circular motion soothingly hazing my mind completely ' his touch was something else.
Seeing his effect on me he re-placed his hand back to the steering wheel a small smirk finding his lips. I felt myself flush as I kept my concentration on the trees that whirled past.
"Where are we going?" I spoke up turning my attention to Arnav. He tapped his fingers against the steering wheel as if he was thinking his decision over in his head. "The field near the church," he murmured making my stomach flip. "It's the only private place I can think of," he added. The church. Where my dad would be. Had he gone insane?
"I'm not sure if that's a good idea," I mumbled looking up at him, his right eyebrow raised in confusion. "Your parents won't see it'll be fine" he reassured shrugging his shoulders. I nodded but still not entirely trusting him.
We neared the church and a crowd of people were cultivated outside, my heart beat quickened as I spotted familiar wispy black hair. My dad. My jaw dropped, but I had no time to stop and check as I quickly ducked my head landing near Arnav's lap so I was no longer in view.
I stayed like that for a few seconds until we passed by and I sat up straight leaning back in my seat. "Damn, I didn't know you wanted me that bad Gupta," Arnav teased letting out a little snicker making me roll my eyes simultaneously.
"Do you think he saw?" I asked him ignoring his last comment. "No, he wasn't even looking," Arnav shrugged not seeming fazed by it. But unlike him, my heart was beating incredibly fast at just the thought of my dad catching me somewhere other than Church.
Arnav parked up letting the engine fall quiet mirroring the surroundings. "You coming?" he smirked getting out the car and leaving me perplexed. Did I really want to do this? I was missing church to be with someone who my dad would not approve off. I was sinning, and badly.
Ignoring my thoughts I undid my seatbelt steeping out of the car and closing the door behind me following Arnav onto the field. He sat down leaning up against a tree as he dug his hand into his packed pulling out a packet of cigarettes. I went to sit next to him but he pulled at my ankle indicating for me to sit on his lap. I did as I was told (like a lap dog) my legs either side of him, metaphorically straddling him.
"Want one?" he chortled, clearly amused at his own wit. I shook my head biting my tongue, holding back a snarky remark. He lit one up placing it between his plump lips as he heavily exhaled, the smoke flying freely into the air.
The wind picked up raising goosebumps on my arm. His other free hand swirled my hair around his finger in my ponytail. "You didn't listen," he murmured a corrupt glint in his eye making me nervously gulp. His fingers brushed my collarbone as I tensed under his touch. His lips pricked the skin of my neck, his touch burning.
He stubbed his cigarette out in the grass flicking it away with his thumb and middle finger before fully turning his attention to me. He grasped the base of my neck his lips instantly returning, nipping at my skin making my heart thud patently against my chest.
Before I knew it, he grabbed my hair pulling out my hair tie so that my hair fell around my shoulders framing my face. "Much better" he grumbled, pushing the hair that was covering my neck back his lips reattaching to my skin.
He feverishly licked and sucked, my head falling back in ecstasy. Never had I felt a feeling like this. And even though I knew it was beyond wrong, I had never felt so right. My eyes fluttered close as he continued to nip at my skin.
He dug his fingers into my hips as his tongue flicked the sensitive spots on my neck, making my knees go weak and my legs turn to jelly.
I picked at the grass beneath me, suppressing a moan as his lips sunk into my skin an unruly sensation taking over my body as he pulled away, a devious smirk plastered across his face.
My hand travelled straight to the area of skin he had just figuratively destroyed. The spot was sore and I was utterly confused at the mark he had just left there. What did it stand for? Arnav must've seen the confusion flicker across my face. "It's a hickey," he said knowingly.
"A hickey?" I stated questioningly tasting it out on my tongue trying to figure out everything. "Yes, a hickey, love bite whatever you want to call it," he shrugged.
A love bite? What was he a vampire? (Edward Cullen perhaps) I flushed at the words he said draping my hair over my neck wanting to desperately cover up the mark, my father would have a fit if he saw it.
His skilled fingers trailed over my bare legs, smoothly gliding over them as he neared my thigh making my heartbeat fasten and my breathing hitch. Upon this the padding's of his thumb rubbed the inside of my thigh in a circular motion. With his other hand he fingered the hem of my shirt, his hand travelling underneath it lining the metal wire of my bra with his fingers, but this time his breath fastening simultaneously with mine.
Finally the cocky, confident and broad guy that was Arnav Singh Raizada showed some sign of weakness. He always seemed so unfazed by everything,
until now.
He tightly closed his eyes with an audible grunt before reopening them and repeating the action a couple of times. He murmured something incoherent under his breath as if he was scolding himself. Had I done something wrong? I suddenly felt a blush creep up on my cheeks at the thought of dissatisfying him. What was I thinking? How could I think someone like me would ever interest someone like Arnav?
"I could f**k you right now so easily," he grumbled his grip on my hip tightening as he heavily exhaled snapping back into his normal state of mind. Well that was a turn out for the books. I thought I had turned him
off. (If that even exists)
The sound of the Nokia ringtone blared from my pocket and I quickly scrambled to my feet digging it out of my pocket the screen lit up with the person I wanted it to be least in the entire world right now;
My Dad.
I quickly pressed the green button as Arnav's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "Hey Sweetheart," my dad's calming voice travelled through the phone. "Hey dad," I manage to squeak out even though my mind was racing at a hundred miles per hour.
"How are you feeling?" he asked a concerned tone in his voice. I feigned a cough trying to act somewhat ill. "A little better," I told him. "That's good, your mother and I will be home in fifteen minutes, see you later," he said as he exited the phone call.
Fifteen minutes? My body froze as I felt faint at the possibility of getting caught. "We have to get home," I mumbled turning to Arnav, his face falling as his lips turned into somewhat of a frown. "But I had more to teach yo,u" he groaned running a hand through his hair. More? Oh boy.
"I'm sorry," I whispered as an amused expressing crossed his face. "Is daddy home?" he mocked a smirk etching the corner of his lips. I nodded frantically as he snickered. He stood up, wiping the invisible dust from his jeans.
We got in his car as he ignited the ignition and drove out of the parking spot. "Arnav, you've got to hurry up," I pleaded feeling the blood drain from my face making his smirk grow further. I rolled my eyes at him, tapping my fingers against the leather seat impatiently.
He pulled up in my driveway and I didn't waste any time, immediately undoing my seat belt as I quickly got out, semi slamming the car door behind me.
"What are you doing?" I asked, my eyebrow raising as I felt his presence walking behind me up the path. "Coming inside," he grinned as he stood while I seared for the key under the mat. My hand reached a cold metal object, bingo.
"No, no you can't come in!" I exclaimed as I fumbled with the key in the door. Finally it opened and I quickly rushed in, Arnav hot on my tail. I made my way up the stairs making a bee line for my room.
I flung my bedroom door open briskly walking in and heading to my wardrobe. I needed to change out of this, as my dad would say, inappropriate outfit. In reality it was still far from what most girls my age wear, but I would never argue with my dad.
I quickly pulled my black lace top over my head reaching over for my pyjama top as I heard Arnav clear his throat from behind me. Crap. I had forgotten about him. I felt my face flush as I abruptly pulled the t shirt over my head covering myself up from his view.
Arnav stood leant up against my doorframe an amused expression on his face, his lips tugged into a smirk. "I was right; you do have nice tits," he chortled making me cringe at his use of vocabulary. And I could feel myself blushing involuntary.
"Arnav, I've got to get changed. Don't look!" I exclaimed, mortified beyond belief. I twirled my fingers in the air in a motion of a circle indicating for him to turn around so I could get changed. He raised his hands in the air mockingly before turning around.
"No peeking," I warned making him scoff. I quickly pulled my skirt down leaving me in my panties as I quickly searched for some sweats to put on. I opened my drawers searching for a pair.
"A nice ass too," he commented making me jump and spin around making him immediately turn back around as I pulled up my sweats and tied my hair up. The sound of my dad car pulling into the driveway filled my ears.
Was this really happening? The oh so familiar adrenaline rush crept back into my veins. I thought I had agreed not to experience that feeling again. I guess not.
I hushed Arnav into the en suite, my head spinning as I heard the front door open. "Stay in here, and be quiet," I warned a desperate hint to my voice as I quickly shut the door on him, not without seeing a glimpse of his annoying (yet undeniably gorgeous) grin.
I jumped into bed, shrugging the duvet over me as I got into a comfortable position trying to act somewhat natural as I could. My bedroom door flew upon revealing my dad as I jumped out of my skin. I instantly feigned sickness as I stared up at my dad.
"How are you?" he asked sitting on the edge of my bed, a sympathetic look masking his face. "I'm feeling a bit better," I assured him nodding my head making his face light up slightly. "That's good, I'm glad to hear it," he smiled kissing me lightly on the forehead.
"Right I'll leave you be," he told me standing up and heading towards the door. "Call me if you need anything" he smiled as he walked out the door, closing it behind him. As soon as I heard the door click I let out an audible sigh. How did I pull that off? My lying had gotten seemingly better since I met Arnav. Then again, I'm not sure if that was a good or bad thing.
Arnav emerged from the bathroom, his usual smirk intact. He made his way over to the bed, sitting on the edge of it. Without ushering another word Arnav grasped the sides of my face claiming my lips as his.
He stroked my cheek pulling me closer onto his lap as he left little butterfly kisses down my jaw nearing my ear as he bit seductively down on my earlobe tugging it slightly before making his way back to my lips.
He sucked on my lower lip, biting down on it lightly. His tongue slipped into my mouth deepening the kiss as his hands wondered to the hem of my top slipping underneath it as he reached my bra strap. His thumb trailed over my breast as I felt my breathing fasten and my body tense up.
"You should go," I mumbled pulling away. Any minute now my Mum or Dad could walk in, and I wasn't risking anything.
He hummed an unreadable expression masking his face before nodding. "See you around sweetheart," he teased opening up my bedroom window and climbing out. I shut the window after him as he gave me a quick two fingered wave before disappearing out of sight.
What was this boy doing to me?
