Poor Shyam...I him still live the terrified12 year old who found the bodies of his dead parents.

This was the first time we got an insight into Shyam's background...it was a description of a perfect childhood of a boy of a family that was finding joy in the little they had until u wrote what he witnessed on his return home...that picture of ur parents dead in front of u in such a mortifying manner isn't going to leave his mind ever...Y did that man do that to his parents? I'm happy to c Arnav introducing Khushi as his fiance but what I am scared abt is that man whom they call 'maamujaan' & his creepy smile esp. after what he did to Shyam's parents

I really want u to continue writing Rae & so i wish all the readers just drop in a word of opinion abt each update - it would only encourage her to give us her best

Chapter-9
No person, and of all not a little kid, shall face such severe pain of seeing their loved one in the condition that a 12yr. old Shyam saw. That scene playing out in front of his eyes was not for weak heart. Now I know why he is so scared of Hidayat Ali, can't be Mamu-jaan for him. That endearment he gets not out of love but out of fear. Power is an addiction and he is surely addicted, not ready to get it influenced by anyone. So I'm sure the reason behind killing Shyam's parents must be connected to the power and authority he doesn't want to give up. As you said he wants to be on top of the game and toppers do kick a lot of people.
But it was so unfair for the family who were happy in their limited world, basic necessities to get it all destroyed in a matter of a day. A child became orphan, got dragged in the darkest alleys of a world, just for the sake of someone's greed.
My heart goes out for Shyam and I just want to hug him at the moment.
I just wonder if the situation arises would Shyam be able to give it back to the man who snatched his family away from him.
When Hidayat Ali was mocking and laughing at Arnav's lack of any relation with Khushi and people like him would always acknowledge only one relation between a man and a woman, reply by Arnav was much needed & appreciated. This was necessary, specially to respect the feelings he has for Khushi and at the same time the amount of trust Khushi places in Arnav.
It was a ray of hope in this dark world.
