I love the relationship Swami and his Amma share. It's cute and very realistic.

Arnav thinks he knows a lot. I wonder what he'll go through when he gets to the bottom of what Khushi and Ashima are upto.

Looking forward to reading more of Arnav and Khushi scenes.

I loved the Lavanya bit...but I wonder what it was for.

And once again, I love your writing a lot!

Hi Meera,
I have read few of your works like - Colors of Wind, Emerald Isle and A Word's worth so far. I have no words to say how much I loved your stories. I have a confession to make - I had clicked the "Follow" button in the blog emerald isle, but wasnt regular with it and left it in between. Then I chanced upon "Colors of the Wind" and then I knew I had to read everything that you have penned. So me went back and read emerald isle from the beginning again and discovered "A words worth" and I absolutely love both the stories and am eagerly looking forward to reading the future chapters.
I absolutely loved reading "Colors of the Wind"...I wish the characters in the actual show had half the maturity the ones in your story had...I hadnt watched any soaps in the recent past and really got hooked onto IPKKND and was sad to see it going from stunning to bad to worse! I also loved the references of colors in this story and must admit that only after I read one of your author's notes I realized the connection between the color mentioned in the title of a chapter and Khushi's attire in the chapter...Also your characterization of Anjali was too good.
The last few days I have done a lot of catching up...eps. with Isle and Words Worth. Isle - Honestly I am not sure I completely understand the concept of "curse" yet. But I totally loved the way you develop the characters and whole Goa setting...absolutely enjoyed reading Book 1 and 2 and am sure Book 3 will be absolutely rocking...would love to know what happened all those years back between Arnav and Khushi.
Coming to WordsWorth - I thought it was a very unique concept and since I was totally ignorant about the movie Shabd and still am a big ignoramus when it comes to all the literature that you managed dig up about this concept, I felt that this concept is fresh and very you :)
I especially love Aparna-Arnav interactions, the south indian nuances that you have thrown in this story...of course I am biased here as I am a tam-bram myself...but cant help it. Absolutely loved filter kaapi references, idly-chutney, ayyo and slapping on the forehead (this one particualry as I have a habit of doing this and years of admonishing by amma has not made any difference and the last few years it has been taken up by my husband but still no change :), endearments like Kanna - though I dont remember my mom calling me or my sis any pet names, she does lavishly use them for my son and my nephew...kanna being her top favorite followed by "pattu kunjalam" :)

Anyway - I just wanted to let you know that you have me firmly in your fan list now and I hope you dont feel I am a crazy woman to be messaging you like this...well I thought better late than never. Please keep your updates coming...it really makes my day that much more colorful.

Take care
~Preethi

Meera - was on holidays for last 3 weeks so sporadic comments but now back and eagerly awaiting your updates. Did i ever tell you how much I love your stories ? You have no idea how much I value reading your updates as a stress buster in a pretty hectic work and life combo. Thank you again for writing and sharing.

I find this a most challenging story to read and understand. It feels like Arnav is at the center of the story and you keep shining different color lights on him...depending on who he is interacting with...be it Khushi, Aashima, Aman, his father, mother, Anajali etc and then we see a new facet or reconsider some past opinion...almost like a kaleidoscope effect. It's a very clever approach. So now I am not even pretending to understand but just going with my feel for the story.

There are a lot of writers here and they are looking for their muse.

Arnav is attempting to write an intense story about a man's dysfunctional relationship with his mother and not really happy with his work so far and we see him with his very loving mother.. You conveyed the true motherly feeling so well...it reminded me of my mom coming to visit.

Arnav with Aashima, Lavanya and Khushi is so different. Aashima was a business deal and has now become something he is almost afraid of, Lavanya started out being something he would stay away from and in one evening encounter they end up friends whereas Khushi has reached into his psyche and made changes he is not even comprehending yet...she has tied him up in knots.

I am really not liking the way Aashima andKhushi are using Arnav. I want to get into Khushi's head.

hey!! YOU'RE BACK! And what a lovely chapter you've brought us :) :) :) I was counting the days to 2nd July and as fate would have it, fell ill on that very day. I waited for my fever-induced delirium to end so I could read this in my full senses. Missed your story man. For me the characters you've built up are so engaging that even the supposed shift in genre didn't alter my interest one bit. I just want to follow their story, whatever shape it takes. And honestly the direction you've taken has me more intrigued.

It was impossible to not love this chapter. Their banter, sarcasm and the comfort in their relationship had me smiling throughout. I've landed in trouble like Swami when I end up sharing too much with my mother, thankfully none of those of conversations were about hookers. They even use the same arguments - "passing revelations as jokes doesn't work with me".
So Mr. Raizada is finally reflecting on his actions and thank God he realises he's actually nowhere with Ashima's deal. The doubts are taking place in his mind. Wonder why he asked Amma about relationship with older woman- does he really think he can still do it? Doesn't he know the power of hazel eyes!!

It's funny how eager he is to follow Khushi's FF. And he smiled at her author's note- he knows it's because he's getting to her as well. The realisation about his own writing was particularly well written. What if he backs off and foils Ashima's plans completely? When he thought- "Trouble was that the only solution he could see went through the jungle full of cougars and dusky middle aged women." I just laughed like hell. Love how subtly you bring in humour. I also laughed a lot at the "reverse psychology is your tool of trade" bit. Mothers!!

One sincere request. Don't put up pictures of food please. Now where will I find Idlis and chutney.😛

So Kanna is off to be a better son by watching DDLJ with Amma. And I'm waiting to know more and more. Khushi kaha hain, kaisi hai wo Meera?

So glad you're back. Really hope you had a wonderful vacation.
Thanks for the wonderful chapter.
