Child marriages, man dominance and excessing power over women was at peek at that time that every one thought it to be right... Just the way you portrait Arnab mother that she don't feel this husband activities wrong and supports him every time...

Arnav and khushi are held up at a very complicated situation... As Arnav says that she is just a child how can he accept her as a wife, how can he steel her innocence, her childhood...

And his own thinking and attraction towards a his wife who is just a child frustrated him and as a result came out as anger that was diverted toward khushi...
