I feel so guilty to have been this unfair with you guys.
My laptop crashed while I was in South Africa.. On the 2nd May to be precise. I had to face a lot of difficulty there cos of it. The network arranged for another laptop for me to work on, but as it was not mine, I didn't have access to any of my work. I had constant net there, but it was mostly useless without my backup files.
I didn't worry about it, as i thought once I got back home, even if my almost new laptop won't be salvagable, at least I'd get my works back, including my SAY folder. But on the 16th, the guys let me know, it's all gone.
It was a big blow. I basicaly re-did all of my work till yeasterday, that is the 20th, & resubmitted it at work.
Now redoing the work was easy, but rewriting the latest chapter of SAY?? It's proving to be more difficult than anything I have ever written. Ever! Every word I type, seems to come up short than each word of the previous version. & I did the previous version in parts. You know, some before I went away on the 30th.. Some on the Dubai airport at 3am in the morning.. Some while on the 11-hours long flight to Cape Town. So it's not coming back in a flash to me. & it was very complex for me to write in the 1st place. 2 of my most favorite characters went all combative on each other.. & I lost the best version of it.
I felt so guilty about it, that I stopped even coming to IF to chat with my friends on the CC. I kept thinking about sonia_92, greenMoss, shree10, vandana.sagar, arjuhisis, preethisasseeda, veenu, 1chilly, pixiegirl & all the other regulars who have supported me so much all through out.
I almost gave up, when again help came in the form of Samiya(IPKKND). She called me up, berated me for going awol like this, called me Barun & herself & the others phangirls, & even consoled me that this happens, & I'll just have to write it all again! So I am at it.. AGAIN! But it's taking time.
So in short, I apologize, & I understand if most of you hae moved on by now, but those who are still hanging around, thank you. It's beacuse of you, that I am even trying so hard. (But seriously, writing about Rohan & Arnav going fully 'ninza-tirtles' over Khushi isn't something which I am finding very easy to write!)
