Part 12:

Khushi reached the coffee house before time. There was still ten minutes left for him to arrive. But khushi didn't have that much patience to wait specially after the conversation.

What did he mean about 'getting over it,before engagement', why did he sounded so serious? What if there is some ugly truth waiting to get explode n change her life. What if he said that he is already married or he is a drug addict or worse he is gay.

No, definitely not gay, khushi knew better. But what was the big thing that needs to be get over before their engagement?

Khushi couldn't sit still, her anxiety was growing as each second passed, she just wants everything to be fine but yet it didn't seemed fine.

Khushi ordered a strong coffee without any milk, she need to get her nerves calm n to do that she would need a black hard coffee. Finally the clock struck 1, n as per arnav's way of punctuality, he entered the coffee shop.

He was wearing a black jeans n green sweat shirt; he looked leaner n fit as usual n had stubble giving his jaw a hard look. This man was really handsome n khushi could not believe that he has actually said yes for marrying her.

He came to the table n khushi for a moment forgot everything about the phone conversation. Arnav was carrying a folder with him that again brought back khushi to the present.

"Hello" arnav said as he sat in front of her. She was so beautiful. Her big brown eyes with her soft features set perfectly on her face. He missed her; they didn't meet for past week n he really missed seeing her. She was as usual glowing n looked amazing in her pink salwar kurta.

"I see you have already ordered your coffee" arnav said looking at the coffee kept in front of her untouched.

"Oh, I am sorry. Actually I needed something strong n so I ordered it" khushi said now embarrassed.

"It's ok. You need not to be sorry." Arnav said. khushi, right now was least interested in casual talks or anything , she couldn't remove her eyes from the folder on the table n couldn't help but think the explosive it had inside.

Arnav noticed something different in khushi. He sensed some anxiety n could feel her eyes on the folder. He moved forward to open it when a waiter arrived.

"Sir, what do you like to have?" the waiter said, offering arnav a menu.

"Nothing. I just want nobody to disturb us anymore" arnav said in his authoritive voice, scaring the waiter from the sight.

Finally they were alone again;

"What is it? Why are you behaving this way?" khushi said now eyeing arnav more closely than ever.

"I am always like this." Arnav cut her in between.

"I need to show you something" arnav finally said holding the folder.

Khushi's heart was pounding really hard now. What is it? Was the only question that thrived through her head.

The coffee still remained untouched. He opened the folder n removed a bundle of papers from the folder.

"You need to read this." Arnav finally said, handing her the papers.

"What is it?" khushi hushed taking the papers in her hand.

"This is pre-nup. A contract." He said looking directly in her eyes, cold and distant.
