I am on this thread 25% because of rasgulla_sp recommendation and 75% because I just coud not stop reading. My heart broke so many times. I did not shed a tear but you made my heart ache. The way you described each person's background made the story come alive.

This is a very dark tale and the way you ended it was just perfect. It was not over-the-top, happy-go-lucky, everything is back to normal ending. It was a subdued, content form of ending. Anything else would have ruined this story. One complaint, however, is that it was very abrupt. We never really saw the healed Khushi. We were not introduced to her personally. It was through Arnav only that we met her. Also, this is not an integral part to the story, but what was the point in giving Garima and the psychologist a past?

Two things I want to thank you for is for giving Payal a backbone and giving Lavanya and NK a happy ending. My heart broke for those two during the show.

This is a very beautiful concept and if you have some time, I think you should revise it to close a few of the loose endings and perhaps add more dialogue.

Next stop: your index!

Q&A
Why did I choose to NOT dwell on a healed Khushi in Glass?
The reason I chose to NOT dwell on a "healed" Khushi is because a)that would drag the story and b)After having gone through a trauma like this, nobody can actually heal.
As Sheryl Crow puts it "the first cut is the deepest"
Why did I give Garima a past with the doctor?
The reason why I chose to gave the doc and Garima a past was because I felt that they never gave the supposed "scandal" in Garima's life an appropriate thing. It just seemed so silly, what they did on the actual show.
Why did Anjali abort the baby?
Anjali was a woman broken beyond belief. In a single moment, the husband she had worshipped turned out to be a man with serious issues. In a course of a single moment, she realized the immense amount of sacrifice her family had done for her. She felt hollow, the love she had so religiously stayed true to, had turned out black and vile. The felt guilt, because the family she loved had suffered so much for her.
In that one moment, she wanted to be untied from the earth - no family, no connections. That one moment she wanted to be Anjali, not a Malek, not a Jha, not a Raizada, not a sister, not a mother, not a daughter. Just ... Anjali.
It seemed unfair that the baby had to pay for the sins of he parents, but be honest - this story wasn't normal, and neither are any of the characters.
Any more questions? shall be happy to answer.

That is one of the most brilliant stories I have ever read. I was caught from the first sentence - Khushi's nightmare made me shudder. I think I will be hearing "This is for you, Arnavji" in my head for a long LONG time to come.
So, Anjali turned out to be stronger than I expected. That was a totally unexpected turn of events. I wish the show could have shown her in at least half the light that you have shown her in.
My favourite character though was Payal - WHAT A WOMAN!!!!
Brilliantly written.
May I please have the link to your blog? I would love to read your work there.

Hey V!

Had bookmarked this a month ago after coming across many recommendations and finally read it all in a go!

My brain's a little messed up right now..so will edit this soon.

The storyline is really gripping! I haven't come across a psychotic one of this level and I give it to you for writing it so brilliantly 👏

Have seen you on RB's DL thread writing abt some theories related to psychology..just asking out of curiosity if you're a psychology student or is it a passion you have taken up to present such an eccentric story?

A wonderfully written story. With possibility of a tortured khushi explored, it would be highly insensitive of me to the call story beautiful (expect for the happy ending and the ever loving arnav) with her enduring a life that one wouldn't wish even for their worst enemy. But the manner in which u have written about Khushi, her dreams, her love for her family, Arnav, her willingness to subject herself to such a torturous life just for the sake of her family and have emerge from this hellish life of hers with grace and heal with time is beautiful. As of Arnav loved how he always seems to be a source of comfort for her despite being away from her, his constant efforts at finding her, him being the first to witness the torture she was being subjected to by the man whom he once thought she had an affair with. him talking her through her therapy with his unwavering love and support. Coming to NK the guy instrumental in finding khushi, just loved his character here. His love for Khushi & Arnav. They have come a really long way from arnav secretly leaving his half eaten kheer at Nk's doorstep to their easy friendship where they could let go of things a little bit and talk. As of Payal, kudos to her for exploring the independent streak in her through doing something her sister so loved. As of Akash he was just being an insecure chauvinist pig but I am glad to see things workout for them as well. Coming to manorama always knew that she had a soft corner for her bahus.Nice to bring in her past to understand her behaviour truly. Coming to Anjali, was shocked at what she had to offer in the story, one of the best anjalis to have been portrayed so far, but felt bad for the baby. And there is shyam, as sick and deranged as always. And who would have thought about a love story between Garima and the doc?? Loved Nk and Lavz love story It was one hell of a story and I enjoyed reading it. Hoping I haven't bored you with me silly banter and inexperienced writing...
Love...
Anjali.

The most painful and the most amazing part of this FF was Khushi's dream.

read though all the parts...
the starting chapters..where shyam tortured khushi...they were really disturbing to read...but u have written it beautifully...
her pain..her anguish..her will power..her undying love for arnav..fear...wow..that was amazing...
arnav did find her...the pain the longing...love..care...fear..
nk and lavanaya were like support system...loved their role...
anjali s was a surprise for me...but am glad she killed him and came out as a stronger woman...
akash and his thick headed ego..i was wondering has he lost all his common senses...
payal..wo...she had one hell of a transformation..i loved her attitude...
manorama isn t that bad though...
all together a mind blowing journey👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
