Part 8B:
Arjun cut the call at the same instant without replying back...it wasn't Aisha...and his 6th sense and intuitions told him something else...only one other name flashed in his mind...of course how could he forget her voice...it was her...Miss wrong number...
But he was confused...Sakshi, Aisha ke ghar mein?? Was he sure of her voice?? Yes of course...it was indeed her...but how???
He had to know...there was no way he could rest without getting to the roots of it...he had to...he just had to...he didn't think twice...he called for the nurse and asked her to get him discharged...Though the doctor tried hard to brainwash him, he didn't relent...
In half an hour, he was zooming towards Aisha's apartment...

An hour before...
Aisha had just returned from the hospital as Sakshi had finally decided to meet the ETF team today...She had got the final nod from the person without whose consent she couldn't take that crucial step...
So Aisha came back to pick Sakshi...Aisha had gone into her room to freshen up and change to her formal office clothes when the phone rang...
Both of them had no clue that it could be anybody from the ETF...and Arjun calling Aisha on the landline wasn't anticipated at all...Even then, Sakshi knocked at Aisha door to inform of the phone ringing when Aisha called out, "meri mom hogi...itne subah wahi call karthi hai...tell her that I will call back!"
Sakshi picked the phone "Hello"
There was dead silence on the other side and the line suddenly got cut...Sakshi was confused about who it could be...
A little later, Aisha came out and enquired "mom hi thi na?"
Sakshi: I don't know Aisha...line cut hogayi thi...phir dobaara call bhi nahi kiya
Aisha: [thinking who it could be considering the fact that the person didn't try calling again] accha? Na jaane kaun hai? [shrugging] anyways...let go...
As they drive along...Sakshi speaks up, "Aisha, i have a gut feeling that it was him...but i don't know why I feel that...I mean I didn't hear him talk but still...
Aisha: [confused as she completely forgot the matter] tum kiske baare mein bol rahe ho?
Sakshi: woh phone call...i feel it was Arjun!
Aisha: [chuckling] agar aise hai toh he must be at my door step now...and i better get myself prepared for his questions...
Sakshi: sorry Aisha...I messed it all up!
Aisha: hey Chill...I can handle it...

Aisha's apartment...Arjun rang the bell multiple times impatiently before concluding that there was no one inside...
He came down and enquired the security...the security told him that they left sometime before...
Arjun shakes his head totally annoyed that he missed her again...but his 6th sense told him that he would definitely catch her today!

Meanwhile, Aisha and Sakshi reach ETF office...The entire team is quite excited in meeting Sakshi...the great Miss wrong number who had fooled them big time and had dared to play hide and seek with the most brilliant officer of their team! None dared to lock horns with Arjun Rawte and this girl had managed to do that and more! They were all thrilled to see her!
She was the star of the day...while the core ETF team was having mixed feelings seeing her...
Rathod was a little miffed up due to obvious reasons...
Chotu and Liza were happy to meet her just like Aisha had been...They introduced themselves and soon she was one in the team! It never seemed like she had come in just today!...
Shree was sure impressed by her appearance...already he had been praising her beauty seeing the photo and in person, she only looked better...But the fact that she had surpassed his technical skills and managed to give him a run had bruised his professional ego...so he didn't show off much of his excitement of having got to meet her finally...He just met her in a very cold manner...
Rathod's cabin...Sakshi and Aisha are in there too...Rathod was a little cool now...Though the girl had played around with them and made them run behind her for a while, she had only helped them and his logical mind knew that well! So staying annoyed with her for long wasn't right! So he accepted her as part of the team!
Sameer: [in a complaining tone] jo bhi ho...humaare team se aise khel kisine aaj tak nahi khela...[chuckling] kuch zyaadha hi hogaya!...
Sakshi: I am sorry Sameer...kuch majhboori thi...I hope you understand...
Sameer: hum sab toh samajh gaye Sakshi par Rawte ko samjhaana thoda mushkil hoga!
[Pausing for a few seconds, he added] Anyways, welcome to the team Miss Sakshi Anand!
Aisha grinned when he said that...who else except Rathod sir would know about Arjun sir...and he was right this time as well...
Mr samjhe ya samjhaavum ko samjhaana bohat mushkil hoga...And Sakshi would have a real tough time doing that...Aisha thought to herself!
Sameer was looking at Aisha who was in her thoughts and a cute smile adorned her lips...but Aisha was oblivious to the fact that she was being observed so keenly by her senior officer...She never had a clue to what impact she was having in her senior's stone like heart! The pretence of a couple at the jewellery for the case was the triggering point and it had aroused a different alien feeling in his heart for the daring lady cop of his team...He didn't know what was happening but he often caught his eyes scanning around for a glimpse of her...Her absence made him restless most of the times and the worst thing was he didn't understand the reason!

The sudden silence that set in the room due to obvious reasons had also made Sakshi focus on the duo and her eyes were quick to catch Sameer's gaze towards Aisha...That gaze said it all...her investigative eyes never went wrong in judging things...She could see beyond the obvious and was sure that a couple was in the making...
She let out a chuckle and then cleared her throat to get back their attention...
Aisha, who was totally ignorant to the thoughts running in Sakshi's mind and also in Sameer, looked towards her and Sameer also snapped out and looked at Sakshi...
Sameer wasn't sure if Sakshi had caught him off guard...Just to save the situation, he suddenly asked, "tumne team mein sab se mil liya na?"
Sakshi nodded, "haan...I mean almost...bas ek..."
A voice spoke up snapping her short from behind her
"ab bas humaara introduction baaki hai, right Miss Sakshi Anand?"
All the 3 turned towards him...Sameer was shocked to see him there because he was supposed to get discharged in the evening but the ladies weren't shocked...They had expected this
Arjun stood there...there was no trace of a smile on his face...it was obvious that he was angry but he showed nothing on his face...His face was blank without any expressions!'
Though he had addressed that to her, he didn't even look at her once...
Rathod spoke up first "Rawte...Sakshi aaj se ETF team ke saat kaam karegi...commissioner sir ne khud usse team mein include kiya hai"
Arjun looked at him with an "I already know it" look and replied "jaantha hoom..."
Sakshi smiled and walked towards him to meet him formally...but he turned to Aisha that very moment and spoke up, "Aisha, in my cabin...right now..."
All were a bit stunned by his unexpected responses...Aisha and Sakshi knew that Arjun would have known by now that Aisha had helped her and that was exactly why he wanted to meet Aisha in private...
Sakshi felt a bit sorry about the whole mess up...she knew she had caused trouble for Aisha...So she intervened and spoke up, "Arjun, Aisha ne kuch nahi kiya...I will explain..."
He didn't turn to her but just replied sarcastically, "ab mujhe apne team member se baat karne keliye bhi ek investigative journalist se permission lena padega, huh?"
He didn't wait for a reply from Sakshi or anyone else...He turned around to leave...and then voiced out "Aisha..." as if asking her to follow him and then stormed out of the cabin...
Aisha crossed her fingers, and let out prayers to all her known gods...and finally looked at Sameer who just nodded as if permitting her to leave...As she walked out, Sakshi placed her hand on her shoulders and muttered an apology in low voice...Aisha just gestured her to relax and went towards Arjun's cabin!!
