Rima, all that we have ever dreamed for our innocence Khushi your OS showed perfectly. What I would have given to see this on IPK screen with Arnav accepting his errors and clearing our Khushi's character...

Wow! Rimu, that was an amazing OS and very much how Khushi should have given it back to him.. This reminds me of one scene which stays etched in my mind till date..So powerful was that scene.

It's when he corners her and demands why she is ignoring him whilst he has been trying to talk to her. And then comes the bitter crap out of his mouth where he tells her not to show her middle class mentality and put ideas in lavanya's head regarding marriage.

Though she is so hurt and in tears with his derogatory talk, i loved loved loved the way she got back at him despite being caged by him. "Shaadi ka idea hamara banaya hua nahi hai, Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada!" That line, well, Sanaya nailed it and shook him as Khushi.

I simply wanted to say, I wish they had given Khushi the same kind of powerful lines and made Arnav realize his mistakes and know her worth and try hard to win her back!

Alas! This will remain a dream..and happen only in our dreams.

asr may have forced her to marry
but he had all the time in the world after that to investigate
and find out
past makes a person what he is
but it does not mean he shud punish the others for his past
he owes it to another human being to treat her as a human being
not a Dog to be thrown to the swimming pool side

He did make a mistake of asking her to sleep in the pool side but afterward he never really ill treated her at all
He slept on the couch while she slept on the bed
He never touched her in all the time she was with him
He doesn't even react much to all the Swami treatment she gives him -- in fact he tells her he was acting when he fainted so she doesn't feel guilty for not giving him food all day
he was pretty much on good behaviour with his in-laws in fact he took care of them during his stay
He put up with her idiosyncrasies in the GH
He put up with the nosy neighbours by repairing all their household appliances

No ASR behaved ruthlessly out of anger agreed
but he did not even try to remedy it
he believed what he wanted
and nver tried to disprove it
because he believes he is always right

He may not have remedied to the extent expected but he did try and I don't think it was because he believed he was right as always. If he believed he was right he would never have apologized to Khushi at all.

Khushi could have left him when he yells at her after Anjali's attempted suicide and decided never to come back until he apologized to her properly.

But she easily accepted his apology by saying he need not done it at all as she knows he loves her very much.

If we go on the path of questioning Arnav's lack of redemption we could also question Khushi's lack of aggression or her high level of endurance for Arnav's behavior as well.

Why does she forgive him again and again and again so easily. She could have made him sweat it out by leaving him after he yelled at her after Anjali's attempted suicide.

There were no sisters or baby to worry about anymore.

I was surprised to see your reply to my post earlier. Am I even more surprised I sat down to reply to your post this late in the night. I guess it just felt good to talk about my fav show after such a long time. Thank you.

I always felt like, the terrace scene affected the lover in him more than the brother in him.

for the almost kiss at Diwali, i think both arnav and khushi are at fault from the lavanya standpoint, arnav was aware of that fact he has a girlfriend and khushi was also equally aware of that fact.

Nicely said except the last part, the Diwali kiss, where i felt they both got carried away by their strong attraction and emotion,esp. Arnav.

Yup. the ph started out strong but mid-way fizzled out. Sad.

Thanks !! really heartfelt. Can't tell u how that particular dialogue pierced my heart the first time i heard it, cried even and thus was left utterly shocked when they show her returning home and the drive back, etc, etc... was boiling and wanting to blast the writer n PH for screwing up !

And nothing like we imagined. Everything was a mishmash towards the end.. Things which were supposed to give a new meaning to a marriage which started on a wrong note went horribly wrong.

yes . but he chose to ask his jijaji instead of the woman he loves. he chose to threaten and force rather than ask and question

he knew what to do. he chose not to do it because he thought forcing a powerless pero is easier

That was not a mistake, That was inhuman. Even dogs dont deserve it

So? He was still within the 4 walls of the room while she was out in the mercy of elements. chivalry was dead and buried

What a mercy! Than God he did not add that to his crimes. But the moment he thought she was innocent without an apology he was ready to touch her in the hut. But I will put it down to circumstances attraction and the danger

He doesn't even react much to all the Swami treatment she gives him -- in fact he tells her he was acting when he fainted so she doesn't feel guilty for not giving him food all day

That is a pure assumption. How guilty she felt was known to all. She stayed up all night to take care of him. And she never disbelieved him. e never even said he had not eaten all day. He just fainted. Watch the episode again. Khushi never ever wud do this to anyone. she cud have dne so much worse than swami and this. she cud have just tortured him for what he put her through. It is her kind heart which never allowed it. she just irritated him. but he harmed her

Agree. But his good behaviour was to them only. Her behaviour with his family was even better. Initially he was a total brat saying that 'ghatiya sa ghar'

I had gone out and came back late. So had time to reply.

As for this discussion it can go on and on and can never end. Because nothing will change my POV that Arnav treated Khushi inhumanly and did very little to make up for it. Yes he put up with her idiocynchracies. But that is the least he could do for the life damaging crimes he did
