It is just a discussion

He believed Khushi capable of such thing because of his past. He had just begun to believe in love and relationships but he wasn't there yet.

Normally a man would not do something drastic like marrying the woman who he thinks has wrecked his sister's life. But things are not normal in ASR's life.

Was that a decision any man would have done? NO.

But ASR could because he has always believed that relationships are very flaky (owing to his dad's infidelity and now his brother-in-law)

I have always felt that Arnav's past hasn't been dealt with at all in the show. If they had brought it about that Khushi comes to know of Arnav's past (during their MU phase) and develops a sympathy for him the viewer could have understood Arnav's troubled past better.

As far as our mythology is concerned proof of fidelity had to be give by Seetha. I have also always felt that this has been unfair.
But I have been told that this decision was taken by Rama as a king of his subjects and not as a husband of Seetha. He had to do this for the greater good of his country. Seetha was the sacrificial lamb.

From ancient times even in other countries, women, because of their beauty are coveted, lusted after often resulting in war of some sort.
For Eg:- Helen of troy

It is very unfortunate.

helen of troy did not have to give agnipariksha
she was lusted after
for that also ve have a terrible comparison here
leaving all that apart
why should he make Khushi the victim of his beliefes?
why did he not give the benefit of dout?
why did he nt try to dig deeper
No there is no excse whatsoever to believe the woman he loves is capable of suc behaviour
even if he did there is no excuse for his never attempting to ind the truth
what is love without trust
and even worse
he was wrong to punish khushi for his jeejaji's mistake
if needed he cud have asked khushi
he chose to ask his jeejaji
no kavi
asr was beyond redemtion then
sad our writers did not think so

I will still repeat that ASR's past made him ruthless.
It is because of this same past he misunderstands Khushi on the first day they met.
the way he treated her the first day Khushi should never have let him come near her after that
But Khushi saw his vulnerability later because of which she softened toward him... she saw some redeemable qualities which kept some hope in her alive. This happened again and again.

He decided to confront his jeejaji and not Khushi because he knew his jeejaji for two years more than he did her.
There were others there who didn't do what they were supposed to either.
Anjali almost caught her husband behaving suspiciously. Why didn't she confront him about it?
Why didn't the Gupta family reveal the truth about Shyam?
Why didn't Khushi?
Arnav didn't drag Khushi to the altar. He gave her a choice. She could have called his bluff and told him to go to hell. But she decided to give in.

Khushi had a choice.

easier said than done
when she is an adopted daughter
when her sister's marriage is hanging on her head
when she does not even know what she is supposed to have done
when anjali was such a weakling
How on earth is Khushi supposed to have told the truth?
No way
she was cornered
and cornered people who have to put many people at stake
never had a choice
arnav had a choice of investigating or askign her
but she had no choice of cancelling her sister's wedding
or ruining his sister's life
by revealing the truth
asr may have forced her to marry
but he had all the time in the world after that to investigate
and find out
past makes a person what he is
but it does not mean he shud punish the others for his past
he owes it to another human being to treat her as a human being
not a Dog to be thrown to the swimming pool side
No ASR behaved ruthlessly out of anger agreed
but he did not even try to remedy it
he believed what he wanted
and nver tried to disprove it
because he believes he is always right
