A Dark Love

The earth shook beneath his feet, his body got freeze, disbelief touched his face, and his breath lingered in his throat for a moment as her words fell into her ears.

She paused and blinked back the fresh tears; uncertain at her heart voice she tried to shied away her eyes from his but couldn't stop her heart to beat in rhythmically for him, She felt stiffen, out of breath and didn't know when dizziness overtook her, Her knees buckled with the havoc of emotions that had been jolting her from inside her heart, and she about to fell backward when he let his arm crawled around her tiny waist and pulled her towards him, he felt jolt in his body when she let her hand to spread over his shoulder and then encircled around his waist accepting the favor of his strong grip ,coming out of the shocked of her words he gasped for air giving her support to stand on her knees, something strange touched the sensitive part of his heart as she looked at him with so much intensity.

"Are---are you'alright?" he looked panicky to see the colour drain from her cheeks and suddenly she was looking pale, lost and her eyes---her eyes were filled with unfamiliar emotions that he never seen in anyone's eyes for him'never experienced in his life.

Is this feeling called love that I'm feeling for Mayank?is it love who forced me to forget everything? Is it love? Who pushed me towards him and I willingly, happily accepted my defeat.

I never felt like this for anyone before'I never experienced these feelings before'why I feel content when he is so close to me'so close to me that if I wish I raise my hand and touch him lovingly, explore the every tiny part of his skin'is it love? Yes it's Love. A voice came from her heart and she gasped realizing her heart had been confessed long back but it was she who didn't want to accept that.

"i'don't have regrets for last night as I don't hate you" Her words sounded so soft that he felt his breath caught in his throat for a moment, Though she wanted to add more words'she wanted to tell him she can't hate him as she loves him but she couldn't. She didn't want him to throw his rejection on her face so ruthlessly, so heartlessly that she couldn't bear.

He stared at her face for a moment as wanted to believe and accept what his heart was saying but he couldn't. How can he forget whose daughter she is? Can he? Can he forget those darkest days of his childhood without the shelter of his parents? Can he forget the person who is the reason for his parents' death is none other than her father? Can he forget those bruises, scars that had been healed but still he can feel the pain of them? Can he forget? NO, a firm voice came somewhere from his mind though his heart seemed against that.

For a long time he studies her intently still trying to shied away the urge from his heart to hold her and kiss her until she fell into his arms and let him conquered her body, she felt her heart thud so loudly to see his deep gaze at her and she wanted to believe that he wasn't regretting making love to her---to his wife.

But the next moment what he did made her body jolted with the shock when he grasped her shoulders and pushed back her roughly she could barely manage to stable her weight on her feet and looked at him with widened eyes.

"Do you think I am stupid or an ass who would believe on your words?"

He scowled darkly letting his hands drop to his side, Nupur forced to breath pressing her hand against the wall for support. "you are a witch---you deliberately has let me bedded with you so you could get my sympathy'what game are you playing?" His words seemed poisoned and he didn't care how much they left effect on her. "What can I expect from the daughter of the killer" He let out the sarcastic laugh, "tell me what plan you've in your mind? The hard-edged line of his jaw told her of a fury in him that made her heart stopped for a long moment and she felt a pang of hurt rushed into her veins and blinked back the tears still couldn't have believed what she was hearing after spending the night in the warmth of his arms, feeling his soft touch and sound of his deep breathing. She wished for his same tenderness that he showed last night, she wished that he pulls her again in his arms and then with great show of tenderness he would brush the tendrils of pale hair from her face and would kiss her forehead letting his arms to crawl her body. But he was far away from realizing what they did last night 'it wasn't a plan or an act to gain his sympathy but was pure submission. Would he ever believe in her?he wouldn't ever believe her.

A painful thought came with the rush of fresh tears in her eyes and Mayank deliberately turned his eyes away to see this time he had hurt more deeply than he ever did before.

"It is what you think about me?"She asked quietly, his eyes dropped on her face, the pain was excruciating that his words had given her. He felt a sharp stab hit against his heart and he turned away his face, "what else I can think about the daughter of a killer" he replied in a bitter voice jerking away the guilt that was engulfing his features.

"I don't know what has made you so heartless"

He quickly moved his eyes at her'something was deep flashing in her eyes it wasn't accusation of being treated ruthlessly but was something else'concern'or may be Lo---he stopped his thoughts in mid way and tried to keep focus his mind on his anger'his regret'his revenge and the reason behind their marriage, all seemed blurred when he couldn't help but stare into the pools of her eyes.She was looking so innocent still the evidence of their love making flushing on her skin, his kisses, his love bites lingered on her skin making her more beautiful than he ever imagined her But as he tried to take a step into the circle of acceptance, memory of past swept back bringing with the cold, stone hearted man who hadn't nothing in his heart for anyone but Hate'a dark deep hate. She had seen the expressions change of his face, the same taut, heartless smile curled into his lips as he grasped her shoulders and pulled her against his hard chest making his expressions hard, "do you forget what you used to call me? a heartless, ruthless person who doesn't like to give answers to others of his deeds"

He paused letting out the breath of rage, his fingers were dipped into her flesh deeply that making her flesh burned in that place but it didn't hurt to see the deep grief, pain she was seeing in his eyes'no matter how much he was showing himself off as a beast, a heartless animal but she could see the simple, innocent person behind the layers of this rage.

"I was wrong..you aren't heartless" Nupur sank her voice to a whisper and gazed at him.

He startled turning his face towards her.
