This is one of the most powerful FFs I've ever read on this forum. I was trawling the Fan fics page to take a break from working non stop for the last 8 hours when I saw the title of your FF, Intrigued by this unusual title, I started reading it. It's just taken me about 40 mins to read the whole thing and I am so totally shaken up.
Each chapter has sucked me into successive vortices of grief sorrow, regret, anger, incomprehension, leading me to the bottom of it all where all I can feel is a deep, deep sadness for each and every person in the story.
Excepting ,of course, Anjali and Shyam- now that guy is a mystery. Is he the lynchpin that is holding it all? And she is even more cloyingly hateful than the Anjali in the show.
They're all trapped in the aftermath of the events, how far will the truth release them from this angst, I wonder?
Whatever be the
gravity(!!) of the events of the past that led up to the disastrous day in all their lives, all that seems to pale in the face of each of their reposnses to it. Does the truth of the past even matter now?
In the midst of it all is the person who has triggered it all, who I can't decide deserves only sympathy or only indifference or neither.
The thing is, I can't decide what to feel for Khushi?!? Not falling instantly in love with Khushi, that even possible? This is the first time that has happened! But then I don't know the Khushi before- was she the pragmatist even then? What was she like, I wonder
What was Arnav like before? From the little we've seen of him he seems to have been a more relaxed person than the one he has become now.
The gulf between theThen and the Now seems like a huge chasm, an almost live creature that has bitten them all, leaving them with festering wounds and bruises that will need them to dredge out the love they had/have to heal one another. But it will never be what it was.
Well, this FF has me now its firm grip, I need to read the rest. Excellent story!
Oh wow, just read Chapter 13 after putting in my comments on the first 12 chapters! Now this revelation about Anjali and Shyam puts a new spin on the whole thing!
There is a child involved, but why do they need to hide this fact from the family. Well, at least it explains Anjali's behaviour and I will have to take back my description of her as being cloyingly hateful.
We need to know where Aakash is and if this was what Khushi had found out. Well, i am a bit gobsmacked! Terrific twist, RockBarbie! brilliant!
