Just one look, one moment, and that's all it takes...

I've been to the Wagah Border once and the sentiments that you portrayed were just perfect. Its been close to ten years since I have been to that place, buit a couple of paragraphs into the story, and I was back to that place. Indeed your emotions of patriotism just get heightened at the said location, and in all that, you can't help but be a bit amused by it all.
And in a place taut with overriding feelings, you set pace to a story that was as unique as the word unique itself👏

Few may say that the story felt incomplete, few others might have asked you to continue this one; I feel that it was left at a juncture wherein it would have the right impact as also attach an underlying message.

How often we have come across a person who catches our eye, but the meet if fleeting, the momentary brushing is such that it is to remain a memory, and many a times, just fade with time. You captured it all so beautifully!

No names, no dialogues, no side characters, yet all that one expects out of a write up was there. Wonderful OS, this one!

Such a mindblowing OS..

I have been to Amritsar many of times but Wagah border only..
Ceremony there every evening is like treat to watch..
Patriotic songs and all are soo...
Dil banta hai...
This OS reminded me of sweet bitter memories.. :p
U said that its all true! Hein??
Quite strange! :p
But I liked this OS..
I remember I was in My Ninth standard then and we all siblings were only making jokes of Pakistani Soldiers as they wore salwars as in dress! :D
P.S. Caught ur Index Ji.. See u at ur other OS :p

Wagah Border, North and South Korea, Rugby Match, Trains station...
a snippet , or space in time that could happen anywhere ..
Did it happen to your friend, Did she conjure it up in the boredom of sitting through yet another ceremony, or did a beautiful face across the lines ask for wishfull thinking or was she merely entertaining you...
He left her a memory
she left you a memory
and you left us all a memory..

thank you to her and you...and peace be yours

it was beautiful read both in its story telling , in its memory of a dear friendship...
