Chapter # 3

"Khushi can you bring that basket here!" Payal yelled from the other room.

"Fine... I'll get it!" Khushi yelled back. Khushi started walking but then she realized that it wasn't their house. How was she supposed to know which 'other room' was Payal talking about? There were so many rooms here.

"Payal! Where are you?" Khushi said looking here and there but she couldn't find her.

"Go straight and take a right. That's were the flower basket is" Khushi heard someone say. She turned around and saw Nk.

"Umm...Thank you?" She said, puzzled.

"Don't you get all confused, don't you remember me Khushi?" Nk said.

"You know my name? Umm...no." Khushi said looking at him. "Oh no wait... You're Nandkishore!" Khushi said surprisingly and hugged him.

"It's really good to see you" Nk said hugging her back. "And it's Nk; remember how I get annoyed about my full name?"

"Yes, yes of-course" she said.

Khushi and Nk had been really good friends. They were neighbors and used to play together every evening. Soon Nk was sent to Khushi's school. Nk became friends with Akash, Arnav and other people. He knew how Khushi felt about Arnav.

"Come on, let's get you to meet everyone else from our school" Nk said pulling Khushi's arm.

"I would love to seriously but I need to get the basket remember?" Khushi said.

"Oh right!" Nk said.

"I'll be with you in a minute" Khushi said while running up the stairs.

"Oh here it is" Khushi said happily pointing at the basket. She took it and was walking out of the room when she bumped into somebody, not just somebody.

"Ow" Khushi said in a whisper.

"Can't you watch where you walk?" Arnav said angrily.

"I'm sorry" She bent down to pick up the flowers and the basket not bothering to look for who it was she bumped into. "Oh my God, what have I done? All the flowers." She murmured to herself.

"I'm talking to you!" He yelled at her. Khushi was startled.

"Why are you screaming at me for no reason? I said I'm sorry, okay?" she yelled back. "Woaw, he's hot" she thought.

Arnav looked at her. He was awestruck. She was beautiful, he thought. He wanted to ask if she is okay but his ego didn't let him. And since she shouted back at him, he would never ask her that. Does she even know who she bumped into?

"Because you bumped into me and don't talk to me like that. How dare you shout at me. Do you even know who I am?" Arnav said gritting his teeth.

"No not interested, at all and I said I'm sorry okay? I didn't do this on purpose. What a freak! You can't even say 'its okay' and help a girl. What a... Laad governor" Khushi said in one breath and stormed out of the room. For a second Arnav didn't realize what she just said. When realization dawned upon him he was angry.

"No body talks to me like that. She doesn't know who she has messed with. I'll make her pay back!" Arnav said and went downstairs to join others or maybe get a glimpse of her.

Chapter # 4

The partial part of past which Khushi doesn't know.

"Khushi Kumari Gupta" The teacher said out loud.

"Oh ma'am she's absent" Payal said.

"Oh okay" The teacher said as she marked Khushi absent.

It was their English class, as it ended Payal came out of the class with Lavanya. Arnav saw them and stopped Payal.

"Why is Khushi absent Payal?" Arnav asked a bit worried.

"Oh she had a fever so she'll come on Monday" Payal said.

"I'm getting late for my accounts class" -Lavanya said and rushed upstairs.

Payal really didn't like Arnav because he ignored and had hurt her best-friend.

"Why do you even care if she's not here? Why does it bother you Arnav?" Payal shot those words out.

"I do care for her." Arnav said.

"Really? Doesn't seem like it" Payal said.

"Why are you behaving like this Payal?" Arnav asked.

"Because YOU, YOU have hurt Khushi a lot. In class six you used to talk to her but when you found out that she likes you, you ignored her and made her feel like an idiot. At times you used to give her false hopes that made her think that maybe you like her. But it doesn't matter to you, does it?" -Payal said in anger.

"Of-course it matters to me, dammit! When I found out she liked me I didn't like her but then I started liking her, and I still like her. I love her! I didn't talk to her because when ever I did everybody else used to make fun of her and made us feel uncomfortable. So I used to ignore her so that she doesn't get hurt because of me" Arnav shot back at Payal.

Payal was shocked. 'Holy shit he likes her' she thought.

"But why didn't you ever tell her Arnav?" Payal asked.

"Because I thought it would ruin everything. We would become a scandal and you know how relationships become complicated. I didn't want us to break up. So I thought I should wait till we grow up. Every time I saw her laughing and happy it made me love her even more. You have no idea what I go through" Arnav said.

"Arnav but you know this is your last year with her." Payal said.

"What? What do you mean?" Arnav said, shocked.

"She's leaving" Payal said.

"What do you mean she's leaving? Can't you just tell me straight away?" Arnav said getting angry.

"Her father is sending her to England. And tomorrow is her flight. She got her certificate of completing her O'levels and now she's leaving" Payal said, forlornly.

"Whatt?" Arnav said in a whisper.

Arnav Singh Raizada was the owner of AR designs. He was one of the top richest men in India. He was arrogant, rude, and egotistical. He used to shout at people, he never let anything go wrong with him because he wrote his own Fate! Nobody knew the reason behind the change in Arnav but only one person did, Payal. He was angry at himself, because he let go of her. He was changed now. An Arnav who would care only for his loved ones, be rude to others, all the time an annoyed man, hated noise, had forgotten to smile and had turned into a diabetic just because he was angry at himself. He tried to ignore girls who were named 'Khushi' because he got reminded of her. He couldn't forget her, no matter what he did or how hard he tried.
