Chapter - 12

*BEEP*

Khushi picked up her and saw Arnav's text.

"Eee." Khushi screamed.

Sender - Arnav 6:31pm

I'll be waiting for you. Got some movies, hope you'll like them. Come soon!

"Payal look he texted me." Khushi threw the phone in Payal's face.

"Who? Oh my god! Hahah, lucky trip for you ain't it, Khushi?" Payal said with a wink. "We should get going. We'll drive ourselves." Payal said, getting up and walking to the closet.

"Yes, totally. What should I wear?" Khushi asked biting her nail.

"Wear this and this." Payal said throwing a yellow and white kurta and white tights.

"I'll be ready in a minute." Khushi said running to the wash-room.

"And do you mind if you put a little bit of make-up?" Payal said.

Khushi and Payal both got dressed. Payal being the more attentive and clever one had already texted Akash that she wanted to go out to a movie or something and not be at home. Akash had agreed and had understood why Payal was doing this. So Akash had also informed Anjali to take Nani and Mami to the temple for a while. Anjali had also agreed to all this.

Khushi and Payal were at the front door of Raizada Mansion, they were about to ring the bell when Anjali and the family opened the door.

"Oh, you guys are here." Anjali said.

"Oh Khushi beta, it's so nice to see you and Payal. Please keep visiting. I wish we could stay but we have to go the temple for a while." Nani said, hugging Khushi.

"Oh yes, we'd love to chat with you and hear your cute accent." Anjali said cupping Khushi's cheek.

"We should get going now." Mami jee said.

"Oh we'll see you soon." Nani jee said.

With this they left and Khushi, Payal entered Shantivan. Akash was coming from the kitchen and Arnav was sitting in the living room working on his laptop. Both of them saw Khushi and Payal.

"Payal..." Akash said.

"Khushi..." Arnav said.

"Hello..." Payal and Khushi said to Arnav and Akash.

Payal gestured something to Akash by her eyes. Arnav and Khushi didn't bother to notice. Khushi was looking at the floor, blushing and Arnav was just staring at her. Khushi had been wearing a yellow kurta and white tights with silver ballet's shoes on. She had let loose her hair, she had clipped them up on the sides and her flick was falling on her forehead. She hadn't done much make-up but she just had some blush on and a lip gloss which wasn't visible much.

"We should go." Akash said finally breaking the silence and bringing Arnav back to where he actually was.

"Go?" Arnav and Khushi both said in a shocked way. Khushi angrily looked at Payal. She knew she had set her up.

"Yes, actually I wanted to spend sometime alone with Payal." Akash said.

"You are alone. Who's going to disturb you? There's nobody at home. Do whatever you want to." Khushi said.

"No, we actually had our tickets booked to a movie. I have put my money so I won't let it go to waste." Akash said. "You guys enjoy!" Akash said while pulling Payal along to the main door.

"Oh god help me." Khushi whispered.

There was an awkward silence for a minute but then Arnav broke the silence...

"Umm...so they ditched us. But I won't let you get bored." Arnav said with a cheeky smile.

Khushi just smiled at him and Arnav leaded her the way to the home-theater.

"Love story or Action?" Arnav said while scanning through the movies he had.

"Love story." Khushi said adjusting herself on the seat. She sits comfortably in one of the plush seats while Arnav sorts through the hoards of DVD's.

"Knew it, well. Love story? Hmm...twilight or Ps-I love you?" Arnav said holding to disks up.

"Twilight. I'm in no mood of crying." Khushi said with a chuckle.

"You like vampires as well?" Arnav asked sarcastically.

"Only if they are the good-looking ones." Khushi said raising her head up.

"I see. We'll find you one." Arnav said switching the DVD on.

Khushi had been thinking through the movie that what had happened to her in the jungle that she easily told Arnav all about her recent issues. How and Why? Why did she do such a thing?

"So did you like it?" Arnav said breaking her jumbled thoughts.

"Yes...I loved this movie." Khushi replied instantly.

"How would you like to be proposed if someone liked you and wanted to marry you?"

"Haha...funny question. Well... I think I should have a best-friend who would fall in love with me and he proposes me and we get married." Khushi said excitedly.

"Not very typical. I like your thought." Arnav said. "Do you have a best-friend? A guy best-friend?" Arnav asked curiously.

"I'm in search of that special best-friend." Khushi said with a sigh.

"But am I not your best-friend?" Arnav asked. Khushi's breath hitched. She looked at him with a unexpected-question way.

"Umm... I guess?" Khushi said.

"I guess? I guess Khushi? I told you something yesterday night that not even Di knows and your saying that you guess we best-friends? Come one?" Arnav said pretending to be angry.

"No..No...I mean yes we are best-friends." Khushi said.

"Are you sure?" Arnav asked with a smirk.

"Yes, I am." Khushi said with a bright smile.

"Good to know." Arnav said with a smile.
