Chapter - 11

"What took you guys so long?" -Everybody said.

"Well it's such a deep jungle that we kind of got lost" Arnav said.

"Well you could have called us smarty pants" Akash said.

"There were no signals, Akash. Now stop complaining and add more wood to the fire." An annoyed Arnav said.

Arnav sat down right next to Akash. Akash and Payal were sitting together There was only space between Arnav and Dhruv. Khushi hesitantly walked and sat between them. Nk stood up and brought every body's sleeping bag outside.

"We all are going to sleep outside tonight!" He yelled while throwing each one of the sleeping bag to each one of them.

He threw Khushi's sleeping bag at her when Arnav grabbed it.

"Can't you be careful? Lag jati tou" Arnav said gritting his teeth.

Khushi looked at him shockingly.

*Khushi's POV*

What does he get mood swings? I'll definitely ask him that when ever I find him alone. A minute he is a total different person and the other minute he is like what Payal told me, Laad Governor.

But he cares for me. I hope I'm not blushing too much.

Khushi saw Payal texting and looking at her. She did the same thing twice. *Ting* Khushi's mobile ringed. "Good luck sleeping with Arnav." Khushi read the text and her eyes widened.

"Is everything alright?" Arnav whispered to Khushi.

"Huh? Yes...yes. Everything is perfectly, PREFECTLY fine." Khushi said looking at Payal. Payal had a slight smile on her face.

All of them had fun; they sat together eating and telling each other hilarious stories. Playing pranks at each-other, scaring the girls. Playing truth and dare. But all this time Arnav kept looking at Khushi, without getting noticed by anybody. He smiled when she smiled. He chortled when she laughed. He had wanted this time to never end. Never! With time it was past midnight and everybody lied down in their sleeping bags.

"Shit. I'm stuck. Should I face Arnav or should I face Dhruv. I think Dhruv. No no... Arnav." Khushi mumbled.

She turned to face Arnav and he was already looking at her and facing her. Khushi looked at him and smiled.

"Umm...Khushi?" Arnav said.

"Yess..?" Khushi said.

"Akash told me that Payal was going to come to our house in the evening so...you should come too." Arnav said. "I am off form office tomorrow so we can watch a movie together." Arnav continued.

"Oh...Okay sure" Khushi said.

"We should go got sleep now." Arnav said.

"Yes" Khushi replied shortly. Khushi and Arnav closed their eyes to sleep. After a while Khushi woke up because she couldn't sleep. She looked at Arnav who was still facing her. She smiled slightly. Khushi looked up in the sky to see the shining bright stars. Her wishes were coming true. Kind of.

"I miss you so much mom and dad." Khushi whispered as she looked up in the sky. "I'll call dad tomorrow." She said.

"I wish I had my dairy. I wanted to write so much, so much has happened in the past few days. Such good stuff. I met him." Khushi mumbled to herself.

"What happened Khushi?" Arnav said in his sleepy voice.

Khushi got startled.

"Nothing, I wasn't feeling sleeping so yeah." Khushi said.

"And so you staring at the stars?" Arnav said with a smile.

"Haha, umm... yes." Khushi said.

"Do you really think people who die become stars?" Arnav asked looking up into the sky with a dreamy look.

"Yes. I believe, if you believe too you'll feel that your mother is with you, looking at you, protecting you all the time." Khushi said.

"How do you believe this stuff?" Arnav asked.

"I don't know...One should have faith I guess." Khushi said.

"You really make my day, Khushi." Arnav said happily.

"Haha, really?" Khushi said hiding her blush.

"Yes." He whispered.

Khushi pointed up at the sky..."Look a firefly."

"Look there are more...it's like a pack." Arnav said pointing up with Khushi.

"I love such magical, fairy like things." Khushi said.

"Me too" Arnav said inaudibly, looking at Khushi.

In the morning, they all had breakfast and started packing up stuff. Soon they hiked down the foothills and were off to their houses. After dropping everybody, Khushi and Payal were left. Arnav stopped the car right in front of the gate. Khushi and Payal got off.

"I'll see you in the evening." Akash said to Payal. Payal blushed and walked away. Khushi adjusted her bag and looked at Arnav. Arnav passed a smile to Khushi, Khushi smiled back. She was about to walk away when Arnav said...

"Oh Khushi wait!" Arnav said.

"What happened? Did I forget anything?" Khushi said looking in the car.

"No actually, can I have your number?" Arnav said.

Akash's mouth was wide open. He looked at Arnav and then at Khushi.

He had been noticing lately how he has a different attitude towards everybody else and a different attitude towards Khushi.

"Sure..." Khushi said.

They exchanged their numbers. Akash was still looking astonishingly at Arnav. Khushi smiled and said bye to both of them. Arnav drove off, Akash on the other hand was still looking at Arnav with his open mouth. Arnav looked at Akash and then started looking at the road. Arnav closed Akash's mouth with his hand.

"India has mosquitoes." Arnav said while staring at the road.

Khushi went inside with a bright smile on her face. She entered the room while dancing.

"Okay spill it out. What happened?" Payal said putting her hands on her waist.

"What? Can't I be happy for no reason?" Khushi said throwing her bag on the sofa.

"Hahahahahahah, no!" Payal said with a straight face.

"Okay. I'm living a very magical life these days which you don't seem to be bothered about. Go talk to Akash. He has stolen my best-friend." Khushi said sitting on the bed with a pout.

"Magical life? No...tell me!?!" Payal said sitting next to Khushi crossing her legs over.

Khushi told her all about the things happening between her and Arnav.

Khushi spread out on the bed facing the roof.

"So yeahh...that's pretty much it." Khushi leaving a sigh out.

"Khushi there is a chance he likes you." Payal said.

"You said the exact same words 6 years ago, before I left." Khushi said.

"Plus I think we are good friends now. Oh and did I tell you that we exchanged numbers?" Khushi said getting up from the bed.

"Oh my god no you didn't." Payal said.

"Really? Yeah he said Khushi can I have your number, I said sure.

Akash was pretty shocked about it." Khushi said laughing. "Oh and he that he wants me to come to his house with you to watch a movie." Khushi continued.

"Khushi! You didn't tell half of the things." Payal said.

"No that's it." Khushi said with an innocent smile.

"I'm hungry. Let's make popcorns?" Khushi said rubbing her stomach.

"Yes, please..." Payal said.

"And some tea?" Khushi said grinning.

"You took the words out of my mouth." Payal said settling on the sofa.

"Ooo.. Jalebi." Khushi said clapping her hands.

"No Khushi. No jalebi's. I think I've had a ton of jalebi's since you've come. I don't want to explode till my wedding day, and the next thing I know is Akash runs away before our wedding." Payal said.

"Lol, okay..." Khushi laughed.

The two of them sat down, having snacks and talking about stuff. Payal was thinking about this golden opportunity and decided to leave the two, Arnav and Khushi alone!

Now thats a long update! :P I'm sorry, this FF is extremely kid-ish. 😭 But I wrote it some time ago when I was new. Don't feel like editing it all over again. 😛 Hope you like it anyway! 😃
