chapter 1: happy realizationsSo the story starts with a guy pacing anxiously up and down the mumbai airport.
Rey- why is it so windy? wait you are in an air - conditioned airport for god's sake. How can it be windy?what is wrong with you rey?
it was then he realized that he had been talking a little too loudly.he glanced across the area as he recieved looks from onlookers. normally he would get" wow this guy is handsome looks" but instead he got "are you insane looks".
rey- (in his mind) only one person is responsible for my state... he smiled to himself. ( still in his mind) taani shekawat.
Just saying her name made butterflies flutter in his stomach.
Rey- this never used to happen. that is until she went for that stupid course in london for two months. But wait
if you never went i would have never known how much you mean to me and that i reyansh singhania am in love with you taani.
He laughed as the thought of failing at every single thing he attempted when she was not there and how he tried to pretend that him pining for her every day was just because they were best friends. The had known each other for 15 years and since then were inseperable.This was the longest he had gone without her and it was eating him up. he started laughing uncontrollably when he recalled an incident he had with sharon a week ago
flashback
rey and sharon were watching tv
rey- arey yaar change the channel. i have already watched kabhi khushi kabhi gham with you 17 time taani.
As soon as the word taani slipped out his mouth sharon burst out laughing
sharon- god rey you will never allow us to miss taani because you say her name so many times that we forget she is gone
Rey laughed too to hide his yearning to see taani.
Flashback ends.
Now finally the wait was over and rey could finally see his taani. in fact that was the reason why he was here. he had it all planned out. he would fetch her from the airport, bring her to her favourite restaraunt and then propsose to her. she would say yes and then they will talk to swayam about it and they will live happily ever after. he spent hours infront of the mirror getting his proposal right. he finally decided to go with the classic shah ruk khan approach for his filmy taani. he fiddled with his hand nervously when he finally saw her after what felt like years. he remembered her telling him on the phone about a big suprise. He thought that it definitely could not be a bigger suprise than his. but never in his wildest dreams did he imagine how wrong he was... he was hell shocked when he saw what he saw.
