Isn't that right, Riya?" Arjun asked even as he held her. "Nothing else matters, except that we are married." His words weren't a warning but rather a reminder of their relationship
And how to describe our marriage? She thought to herself. Friendship, Hatred or Love?

As he sat contemplating about his life, a soft feminine body bumped against him, spilling her drink all over his shirt. As he glanced at her, he was met with a confused smile.
"Can't you watch where you are going?" He growled at her while standing up to brush away the drink from his shirt? Instead of being offended the girl just stared at him in amazement. She managed to slur out. "OH My God!!!ACP Arjun Rawte and to reach out to pat his cheek as to check that was she dreaming . As he was about to explode with rage voice another cut across. "Preeti, what the hell are you doing! Oh God, she spilled her drink on you? I apologize, she isn't really at her best behavior tonight. He took a quick glance at the new girl but she made him look back at her.

They were in a bar there was something about her which indicated that she was class apart. Her red dress she wore that managed to make her look beautiful or was it the way she carried herself clearly indicative that she belonged somewhere else. And to add she had a beautiful face 'There was certain sparkle in her eyes, dimpled cheek and such lustrous mane. Arjun pulled himself together thinking there are plenty more who were who were more beautiful than her.

"Again I am so sorry." She said while managing to balance Preeti.

"She is drunk and has no idea what she was saying." and with that she walked away with her, not even giving him a backward glance.

Arjun went back to his drink, trying to find rest of his team mates but couldn't help when his thoughts went drifting back to her. He was yet again was disturbed but this time with a gentle tap on the shoulder and turned around he faced the same girl again who was haunting his thoughts for quite a while.

"Hello again, Sorry to disturb you. As an apology for my friend, we would like to buy you another shirt.

"No need." He replied in his usual tone but instead of the stares which he was accustomed to he got dimpled smile and sparkling eyes.

"Are you sure? At his lack of response she walked away from him the second time tonight.

Walking back to her friends she could her them gossiping about him.

"Ri, he didn't look the type you described and all they managed to get from her was a laugh from Riya. Back in our Research Dept he is termed as the Dragon, Akdu, Khadoos and what not she replied. They also call him CCL- Cutting Chai Lover but yes Khadoos tops the chart whenever he requires some information from our dept because if not within time a hell does break loose , but tonight he did seem like a nice guy unlike the stories she had heard about him. If she had been single he would have definitely been her type she admitted to herself. But the important point was that she wasn't single. Even though there were many men who had shown interest in her, Riya had her affections for her Abhi. It didn't matter to her that there were better looking men than Abhi, for as in her mind he was perfect for her. As if in sync with her thoughts, her phone started to ring with a call from Abhi but before she could take the call Pari snatched the phone away.
"Riya Dutta! one day you are not going to answer any calls! This day is just for us girls!" She demanded

Arjun had managed to hear only her name but that was all he needed to find out everything about her. After all Arjun Suryakant Rawte could find out anything about anyone anytime, of course with a little help from Shree? He chuckled thinking about Shree's reaction when would ask him to find about her. He didn't know what it was about her but something changed that day with her one sight .He stared at her across the room, while she was she sat chatting away with her friend's blissfully unaware that her life would not be the same going forward .
Many promises will made and much more would be broken . Her beliefs would be shattered and her love would be tested .

PRESENT

"Of course", she replied and that wasn't a lie because she couldn't change her past. Everything that had happened couldn't be undone and to a certain extent she didn't want it that way either. To the whole world it had been a love story made in heaven. But in her fairytale, instead marrying the prince she had ended up with the villain. But was he really the villain? It was her heart that had started to betray her since the time she had come to know him and it had marked beginning of the doom for them!!!
