Chapter 18

Raj couldn't believe this, his baby sister fell in love and Swayam actually had good things to say about the guy. He really did not want to accept the boy. What right did that Reyaansh have to be with Taani.

Raj had a lot to say, but he settled for the easier things, "I want to meet this boy and then we will talk more about this matter, but for now, let's eat."

All of her brother's frowned, they were all very angry with the news save for Swayam, but they followed Raj none the less.

Gaurav knew that look on Raj's face and he didn't look so happy, he knew there was going to be trouble.

Taani couldn't look at any of her brothers in the eyes, she knew she loved Rey, she wasn't ashamed of that. She knew she did nothing wrong, but she was scared what if her brothers decided to take her away from him, what would she do.

The siblings ate their breakfast in silence, Jay seeing the tense atmosphere put his arm around Taani, he could see she was worried about what they would do. He wanted to comfort her. She smiled and him and continued eating.

The gang woke up and started walking down the stairs; from where they were standing they could see the dining room. They were surprised with the amount of people sitting there. They thought Swayam invited his other friends over. But what shocked them the most was the arm around Taani. Rey was furious, he wanted so bad to be with her. And here he was watching another man touch her. He clenched his fists; he tried to control his anger before he went crazy.

Sharon thought it would be good to introduce themselves, "Hey guys let's go see who they are and introduce ourselves."

They all agreed with Sharon. They all walked down and entered the dining room.

The siblings looked up surprised at their entrance.

Raj wanted to know who they were, "Hi you must be Swayam's and Taani's friends, come eat."

Swayam introduced everyone to his brothers, "Hey guys these are my brother's Raj, Gaurav, Jay, Karan, Arjun and Vishal."

"Bhai, that's Saron, Neha, Aashi, Simmi, Rinni, Nil, Amar, Bharat, Vicky and Reyaansh, but we call him Rey."

The brothers were shocked and stopped eating, they stared at Rey.

The gang was surprised seeing them staring at Rey. Even Rey looked slightly frazzled.

Gaurav spoke up, "So you are Mister Reyaansh Shinghania."

Rey was confused, "Excuse me."

Jay bore holes into Rey, "Your name is Rey right."

Rey answered, "Yah, I'm just confused at how you know my name."

Arjun looked at him up and down, he was a strong boy, he didn't falter when his brothers addressed him, and he stood his ground. Arjun knew people were usually were usually intimidated by Gaurav. He was impressed, "I don't think we'll forget your name."

Taani couldn't handle it anymore; she abruptly stood up and left the room. The occupants of the room stared at her leaving.

Raj wanted to get this over with so he decided to face Rey, "Could all of you leave so we can talk to Rey."

The gang nodded, they didn't want to be there, they were anxious for their friend Rey. But they couldn't do anything for him. It was something he had to face on his own.

Rey stared at all of Taani's brothers sitting at the dining table. Swayam looked troubled, but he could see his friend would support him. All the rest of them looked like they wanted to break him. This was his toughest challenge; he knew he had to stand strong.

Raj didn't like the look on Rey's face, he didn't look scared. He didn't like that this boy was not afraid, "Who do you think you are."

Rey responded without faltering, "I know I am the man who loves Taani."

Gaurav liked his guts but he wanted to tear him down, "You love Taani, it doesn't look like it."

Swayam cringed and stared at the table, he wanted Rey to prove his love for Taani, but this was the worst thing anyone could face. He never wished for Rey to have to face this. His brothers were the worst trial any man could face.

Swayam wanted to help his friend, "Bhai, how is he supposed to show you how he loves Taani."

All of Swayams brothers sighed, "Swayam get out of the room, let us handle this."

Swayam wanted to prostest, "But'"

Arjun knew Swayam was too personally involved in this case, "Swayam leave."

Swayam not being able to argue anymore left the room.

Karan wanted to get this over with, "Rey sit down."

Rey complied and sat down in front of Raj.

Vishal wanted Taani to be happy, but he wanted her to be with the right guy, "Do you truly love her."

Rey was caught off guard with his calm demeanor, "Yes, I really love her."

Arjun frowned, "I'm going to say this once, I don't like you. I don't think my brothers like you. I know Swayam is your friend, but I don't trust you."

Rey thought about it for a while, "You don't have to like me or trust me, but I know for a fact I am the only man who will ever love Taani as she deserves to be loved. So to me, it doesn't really matter what you think. The only thing that matters to me is what she thinks about me."

Raj couldn't stop staring at this young man, he was at a loss. He wanted Taani to be happy, but he was still her oldest brother and he wanted what was best for her.

Jay smiled at his response, "Do you know how many people care about that girl. A lot of people do, she is our little princess. In our eyes no man will ever be good enough. It should matter to you how we feel about you, we are an important part of her life."

Rey stared at him, "So are you saying that you don't want her to get married, you don't want her to be happy. You rather have your happiness than hers?"

Raj was done with this, he lifted his hand, which stopped his brothers from saying anything, "Listen here and listen good, we want her to be happy. We need to make sure the man she loves deserves her. We don't want her to have a life she will regret. You think we want to do this to you? You may not be a bad guy, but we can't but think you are, you want to take our angel away from us."

Rey understood their point of view, "I never meant for anyone to feel like I was taking her away, I just want the chance to love her, I need her to be happy. But I am somewhat old fashioned and I want your permission."

The boys were thinking about what Rey was saying. They didn't want to hurt Taani, but they needed to make sure Rey was the right guy.

Meanwhile with the gang

They were sitting quietly. They were afraid for their friend.

Swayam was the worst, he felt so guilty, and he never wanted this for them. He knew if his brothers told Rey to stay away from Taani, they would never see each other again.

Sharon went to sit beside Swayam and she hugged him.

She whispered in his ear, "It's not your fault; you had to do the right thing. Don\t worry everything will be alright."

Swayam tried to smile, "I'm worried about Taani, I hope my brothers think about her before doing something. It will break her if they tell Rey to stay away."

Sharon tried to cheer him up, "Swayam this is Reyaansh we're talking about, and he can do anything. He will not let anything stop him from getting Taani."

Swayam knew Sharon was right, but he couldn't help but worry.

Taani was up in her room, she was very worried. What if her brothers didn't like Rey, what if they made him stay away from her? She didn't want to lose Rey when she barely just got him.

She was pacing around, suddenly she heard a knock. She went to open the door and she saw Swayam.

Swayam wanted to apologize to Taani, "Taani I am so sorry, I didn't know they would do this. I never wanted this to happen; I just wanted him to prove that he loves you."

She motioned for him to enter. Swayam entered the room and shut the door behind him.

She hugged her bhai and didn't let go.

Taani mumbled into his chest, "You have nothing to be sorry about, it wasn't your fault."

Swayam patted her hair and hugged her back.

Swayam wanted to comfort her, "Don't worry we'll figure it out, you don't worry."

Taani knew Swayam was right, "I know bhai, and it's just not fair we barely had time to progress our relationship. I want him to know no matter what happens, I will stand by his side."

Swayam agreed, "I know Taani, I know. And I know for sure Rey knows he never doubted you. Just remember you got through your ex and you can get through this. I will fight on your side. I promise I will forward any messages from Rey. But you are going to have to wait; I have a feeling our crazy bhais are going to keep him for a couple of hours."

Taani pouted, "I know, but I can't help but want to see him smile. I haven't seen him smile and it bothers me."

Swayam sighed, "I know Taani, but you have to be patient for Rey."

Taani held on to Swayam tighter. Their moment was broken by Sharon entering the room.

Sharon was glad that Taani was not crying, "Can I interrupt?"

Taani and Swayam let go of each other, Sharon walked closer to them and gave Taani a big hug.

Sharon knew they were going to get through this, "Taani, I promise you Rey will fight for you guys and he will win. Losing is not even an option."

Taani smiled at her, "Thank you Sharon."

Swayam wanted to join in the moment so he gave both of them a big hug. Sharon's face contorted in a funny way, making Taani giggle at her bhaiya and babhis antics.

Swayam pouted at Sharon, and she pinched his cheeks, giving more laughter to Taani.

Taani giggled, "Thank you guys for being here with me."

Swayam and Sharon gave her a tender look, "NO problem."

The gang interrupted their moment by entering the room shortly after.

Vicky wanting to be the class clown, "Oi Taani, why does your room smell like a flower explosion, my nose hurts."

Nil and Amar sensing his stupidity smacked him upside the head.

Vicky seethed, "What the hell, why do I always get hit."

The whole gang started laughing at him.

Taani playing along decided to tease him, "Um well Vicky, Neha was trying a new perfume."

Vickys whole demeanor changed, "Kagu smells so nice, nah."

Neha glared at him, "Babu thinking Neha smelling bad."

Vickys eyes widened, "No, no, no Babu, you smell very nice, very very nice."

The gang laughed at Vickys attempt to appease Neha.

Back to Rey and Taani's brothers.

Vishal smirked at Rey, "And you really think, I'll believe your little speech."

Arjun agreed, "How do we know you're being truthful or lying to us."

Gaurav smiled at his brother's response, "Arjun makes a point, and you could just be trying to play with Taani."

Rey was losing his patience, but he was trying his best to remain calm, "I don't know what you want to believe, if you please, stop playing games with me and tell me what you really want to say."

Raj lifted his brow, "Why the hell would I give you permission to date my little sister."

Omg what will Rey do now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
