Arjun went to door of ICU. No one other than docs and nurses were left inside as she had high chances of developing infections.
"kookie, I know it must sound very odd that the person who pushed everyone away is now again madly in love...with you... aur tum bhi mujhse pyaar karti ho.. I am soo happy... ab tum jaldi se theek ho jao.. hum dono milkar usse saza denge and hamesha saath rahenge... I cant wai to be with you... kitna ajeeb lagta hai na? jis ke saath mein bachpan se tha, aaj ussi se pyaar kar baitha???(he chuckled)..but its nice to feel wanted again.. have a hope to live again... get well soon kookie..."
Officer upadhya: jai hind sir. Aap ne bulaya?
Arjun wiped his tears and turned round
Arjun: haan. Uss area ke aas paas koi aisi dukaan hai jahan bullet proof jackets ya unke duplicates milte ho?
Officer: nahin sir. Aisi koi jagah nahin hai. Kyun?
Arjun: oki fine. Aisha jab jackets badal rahi thi to tum kaha the?
Officer: main wahin tha sir. Unke saath.
Arjun: phir bhi tumhe pata nahin chala ki usne jacket badla??? Strange...
Officer: ummm... maine dekha tha sir. But din know exactly what she did.
Arjun: (sarcastically) accha? Aur tumse ye kisne kaha ki wo mujhse pyaar karti hai and Krishna se jalti hai ha?
Officer: sir...wo...
Arjun:kya sir?! Ha! Kyun? Bolti band hogayi??
Officer recovered quickly
Officer: humaare constables ne bataya sir. They had heard her phone convo. To hum ussiko reason maan sakte hai right?!
Arjun: even if the accused is innocent?
Officer: proof chahiye sir unhe innocent prove karne keliye jo aap ke paas nahin hai and we have proofs to prove her guilty.
Arjun was now beyond furious. The way officer was speaking was irking him a lot.
Arjun: ab tum jao yahan se. and ha don't even show me your face. Warna aise baatein karne ke kaaran main tumhari shakal aisa bigaad doonga ki aaine mein pehchaan tak nahin paoge. Samjhe ya sajhau?!
Officer just nods and move towards exit.
Doctor: ACP Arjun...
Arjun: yeah doc...
Doc: I have told you to take some rest. But I see you are up and ignoring my instructions...
Arjun: sorry doc but I cant rest any more... m not used to it. But I assure that I ll not strain myself..
Doc: although I shouldnot allow this, I cant deny you... don't stress yourself but. Right now I want to see you in your ward. Surgeon is coming now to examine you now. Its almost a week now.
Arjun: fine doc... I ll. But ask him not to restrict me to bed anymore.
Doc: sure. I wanna see u on your bed now.
Arjun: ohkay dev... I am going...
Arjun: good. I ll give riya her meds and be back.
Arjun went to his room and settled on the bed. Sleep was no where near him. Happiness was bubbling in him. He saw Krishna's laptop on the side table wich he had asked shree to bring to hospital.
He opened it and as the wall paper he saw a pic of himself, Krishna and sameer during their college days.
He smiled at it and started skimming the files related to cases they had solved together.
Suddenly he came across a doc that he found odd in that folder. Infact two files.
He opened the first one and saw a copy of declaration letter. It stated that in case of her untimely death, if her body intact then would be donated to a hospital and they were free to use it for experiments or organ transplantation.
He shivered a bit reading it.
He could not even imagine losing her. She had become his reason to live again. He pushed those thoughts away and tried to open the other file.
That file was named as –'to be opened by shree'
He wondered what might be in that letter that only shree was supposed to open and read not any other.
He tried again but it asked for password confirmation.
He sighed and left it. He rubbed his hand around his neck and suddenly gasped in shock.
"Where did it go????"
He got down the bed and searched around for his silver chain which had lockets. One which roshni wore and another which kishu had gifted him long ago.
He went out of the room and searched for it all the way till ICU. He spotted it near door and bent down to take it. It pained a bit near his ribs but was manageable. He wore it around his neck and stood up. He gave a glance at kishu's bed and was horrified.
He immediately opened the door and rushed inside. He yanked the person and gave him a tight punch. He screamed his lungs out for doc and restrained the person from swallowing something.
Soon docs were in and so was chotu. Arjun handed him to chotu and pulled the mask from his face. He saw a familiar face... very familiar. He was not shocked as he expected this. Chotu and others pulled the person out and turned to Arjun. He signaled him goo out and inform others.
Soon the ICU door was closed with doc dev, Arjun and few more doctors. Arjun stood at the corner, watching her struggling to breathe.
Memories from past started reeling in front of his eyes. The way roshni was brutally murdered infront of him, the way he was unable to save her. He felt himself in the same state. He cold not hold back and yelled at doctors.
Arjun: kya hua hai? Aap kuch bolte kyun nahin? She is fine right? do something...please...
Doc dev: Arjun please relax. As we had told oxygen supply should not be stopped but that person did it for seconds. Her body is not responding to us now...
Arjun ran past him holding his ribs and sat next to her, ignoring all protests from doctors..
He caressed her forehead and said
"kookie... I know you are listening to me... please open your eyes... see even I am here now. I promise I ll take care of you. Please please don't leave me along again... I love you... please get up..."
He slowly bent down and kissed her forehead and started murmuring.

After sometime entire team came and saw Arjun sitting next to her with his hand on her forehead, murmuring something.
Doctor Dev and others came out and stood in-front of sameer.
Sameer: doc kaisi hai wo?? Theek to hai na???
Dev: sorry sameer sir.. we could not save her. She is dead.
