Chapter 4

Somewhere in another city

A guy called someone and said, "Mein theek se pahunch chukka houn! Ab kab phir kab aana hein?"

"Not now, stay there itself and throw this mobile of yours and also destroy your sim card, i'll contact you in one month at same place at same time!"

Like ordered, the guy destroyed the mobile and cut the sim card and threw everything in a nearby dustbin and went to enjoy his much needed vacation.

While on the other side, a man had just cut the call and was looking at a girl's picture hanging on a wall. "Abhi to sirf shuruwat hein Aisha. Tumhein aur tarpa tarpa ke maruga! Actually maruga nahin, tumhein khud suicide kerne par majboor kar dooga tumhe har mor par duk dekar!" He started laughing in an evil way. "She'll have to pay a huge price for betraying..." he was talking with himself when suddenly his wife came in front of him. And he put Aisha in a corner of his thoughts and concentrated on his wife.

Meanwhile in the ETF Office

Aisha was coming back from her slumber, and she opened her eyes to look around her. She found herself on a sofa in the office. She tried to get up, but had a big headache and was also feeling very weak, so fell back on the sofa. Soon she felt a strong pair of arms holding her and trying to help her in a sitting position. She held onto the hands and finally managed to sit. She looked up to thank that person when she saw that it was Arjun. At first she was so shocked to see Arjun helping her that no words came out of her mouth.

"How are you feeling now?" Arjun asked trying to somehow start a conversation with her.

She looked a bit doubtful at Arjun, when she realised that probably Arjun felt pity for her, that's why he was here, talking so nicely with her.

"I dont need your pity," she said and tried to stand up on her own, but she was too weak that she couldn't hold her own body and was going to fall down when again Arjun had to give her support by holding her body.

"Dont you understand?" she hissed angrily trying to get away from him.

"Just shut up Aisha," Arjun said furiously and he cupped her face in his hands to force her to listen to him, "Pity? Why would i pity you? You think i dont realise that pity is the last thing that you really need now! You really think that i'm a guy to pity anyone? I think everyone has to fight and face their troubles by being stronger, not by having people pitying them! I'm here to help you be stronger, i'm here to promise you that everyone is here and that we'll find that jerk who did that! All we need is your support! And hain Aisha, apno ko khone ka dar mein bhi janta hoon! Aur ab bhi ousse kabhi alag nahin hoowa! Some pain will never leave your side, you cant run away from them, you have to face them! Aur hein yeh pity nahin hein, yeh sirf ek dost or ek colleague hi samaj lo!"

Aisha felt tears streaming down when hearing Arjun words, she didnt need any pity, but she knew she needed someone on whom she could lean for some time, someone who could give her the strength to move on somehow, and she for the first time felt that coming from Arjun. And she again couldn't control herself and crashed into Arjun's shoulders again starting to cry.

After sometime she raised her head and said, "Akri baar, aur nahin roounggi, ab hum ousse roulagein jisne yeh kiya hein," by wiping the remaining tears on her cheeks.

Arjun put his hand on her shoulder and said, "Yeh houwi na baat! But Aisha itna bhi easy nahin hoga apne dar par kaboo rakna, but hum hamesha yehi hein tumhare saath."

She finally managed to give Arjun a brief smile and nodded her head towards him. After reassuring that Aisha was ok, Arjun left her to start working on the case.

Riya was bringing something for Aisha to eat, she knew it would be difficult but she had to make her eat something. She was just entering the office when she saw Aisha in Arjun's arms. At first she felt a deep pain inside of her chest, but then she realised that Aisha was crying and Arjun was only comforting her, she felt a bit guilty for having felt jealousy for even a few seconds. She waited out of sight till Aisha composed herself and Arjun had left her to enter the office. She took the food tray where Aisha was sitting, and tried to get her to eat something. But Aisha wasn't feeling hungry at all, and she refused.

"Aisha please eat something, you are so weak! We all need you," Riya pleaded with her.

"lekin i dont feel hungry at all," Aisha persisted.

"But you have to eat, you cant even stand on your own feet!" Riya scolded Aisha.

Aisha was touched by Riya's concern and so tried to eat a few bites of food. But she ate only a little and then she said no more. Riya didnt force her for more, and gave her some painkillers to ease a bit the headache. Afterwards she left Aisha alone for some time.

Everyone was meeting in the conference room in a few minutes, except Aisha.

"So what do we have on Reema?" Rathore asked everyone.

"Sir, she was a 22 years old. She worked as a part time in an architect's studio, while she was studying to be an architect. She was coming back from a party, but how she ended up in that park, we dont know still now. We knew she left there with two of her friends. I have already called them here, they should be reaching in only a few minutes!" Riya updated everyone.

"And you shree, did you find anything?" Rathore asked.

"Nope nothing even remotely suspicious on her mobile, except few of messages to some friends and even Aisha. And nothing to note on her bank statements! She was a very down to earth girl!" Shree said a bit disappointed in himself for not having more to share.

"And you chotu? What about that park? Have there been any crimes, murders there in recent years?" Arjun asked.

"Well we got a murder a few years back, a thief stabbed a man for his money. But in Reema's case nothing was stolen, even her golden chain and rings were still on her body. And till recently we have got some calls about only some petty thefts there." Chotu told everyone.

"Ok, and anyone under suspicion? What have the local police found?" Arjun asked.

"Well they have a few names of people, who they have arrested but were released at later stages, due to lack of proofs," Chotu replied.

"theek hein, Shree and chotu, both go and bring everyone on that list for interrogation," Rathore said.

"Arjun and Riya, you both go and see what you can get from the post-mortem results, and Riya when are Aisha's friends coming?" Rathore asked.

"They should be here in a few minutes," Riya said.

"Ok, then we'll interrogate them and then everyone can disperse," Rathore said.

Precap:

Julie and Arshad looked very nervous at all the people eyeing them with anger.

"Just how could you leave a girl alone after midnight to go back home?" Arjun barked at them.

"You irresponsible people! You are the first people responsible for her death! It's a shame that you even call yourselves friends!" Rathore shouted at them. His hands itched to beat them, but he knew he couldn't beat them.

So, Reema became a victim of this revenge game...🤢...sick!!...people don't have anything else to do kya?...bas revenge aur revenge!!

Huge price for betraying...whom?? 🤔...or rather what has she done in her past??..may be related to some mission.uh...maybe! 🤔

The whole "the last thing you need is pity" thought...came out very well..👏..and i absolutely adore Ayesha "aakhri bar raoungi phir, usse rulaoungi" spirit...!!
