A pretty small update this time. Will compensate for that this week.

PART 14

Khushi came out of the room to meet the family having a nice time with each other. The families were so blended together and she saw the smiles and laughter fluttering the hall. Lucky enough to get such families she thought. Buaji had fun time talking with Anjali and Garima joining them together. Manorama was not much involved but she didnt leave her chance to tease Buaji while Buaji didnt fail to counter her with jokes. Mamaji was engrossed in talks with Sashi and Shyam. Akash as usual playing with his niece. Khushi's eyes were searching for Lavanya. She couldnt find her in the house.

Khushi got into chats with Anjali and further she was dragged by her best friend Madhu to show her kittens and her play area. Khushi too joined with her to play.Her laughter, her liveliness filled the house with so much of fun and Mamaji along with the other men was watching the kid in Khushi playing with another kid. Soon she would join in their nest as a colourful chirping bird they thought.She played enough and was returning back to the hall.

Right when she turned she felt a hand on her shoulder. It was Lavanya. Not the one who encountered her with a scorn look but smiling face with a tinge of shame and shy powdered on her face. Khushi could feel the guilt on her face and wanted to make her more comfortable.

Khushi : Lavanya.. I was searching for you. I couldnt talk to you on Shagun.

Lavanya :Yea. Even I came after just apologising to you.

Khushi : Thats ok. I wanted to ask apology to you too. Even I shouldnt have talked to you like that. Sorry for everything. Hope you dont feel bad.

Lavanya : No..Thats ok. It was my mistake from the start. I am bit rude in talking sometimes.

Khushi: So all is done. Lets be friends.

Khushi gave her a hand shake to stabilize the statement.

Lavanya : Friends.. yea.. But I should be calling you Bhabhi.

Khushi : Thats ok. Its between us. You can call me Khushi.

Lavanya : You are nice.

Khushi : hmm..Thank you for the compliments. So hws your studies going?

Lavanya : Not bad. Did Bhai tell you something about me ?

Khushi : On what?

Buaji and her parents were getting ready to leave and called her.

Buaji: Titaliya.. come we have to leave.

Khushi couldnt listen and concentrate on what Lavanya was trying to communicate. Lavanya understood that it was not the right time to discuss.

Lavanya : Can you come with me to the library tomorrow?

Khushi : Yea.. sure.

Lavanya: I want to talk to you personally

Khushi was surprised to hear it and was confused as Arnav had also something in mind to tell her about Lavanya.

Khushi : No problem Lavanya. I m going to be your bhabhi but I consider you more like my friend. You can share anything with me.

Lavanya : Thank you so much.

Khushi : My pleasure. So see you tomorrow.

Khushi was bidding farewell to all the members of the house. They all felt sad that it seemed like she could spend only a short time with them.

Nani : Khushi bitiya. We are very lucky to get you as our bahu, do come frequently here and spend time with us.

Anjali: yes Khushi, its nice to see a get together like this.

Mama : Haan bitiya, you seem to replace our Arnav bitwa's liveliness in this house. He was the one who made every member of this house happy. Now you also do the same.

Sashi was moved by the gesture of the entire family and how they regard his cute little daughter in a very high position.

Khushi : sure I would visit often,atleast to visit my cute baby and to play with her kittens.

Saying she kissed her on her nose with a small blush and Madhu too kissed her back with the same sweetness.

Sashi : I am very happy to see this treatement for my daughter and our family. I am indeed very lucky and I thank God for that.

Mamaji : Sashiji,its the other way round. Wish my son also gets someone like Khushi bitiya then our home would be paradise.

Khushi who was listening with a smile suddenly looked at Nani with a shock. Nani nodded with her head assuring that she would take care of them which made Khushi pleased.

They thanked everyone and left the house. Khushi couldnt part something which was in her heart something she was taking back home which wasnt there while visiting the house. She was looking forward for the phone call to provide him a detailed documentary of what all happened in his house oops their house.

Nani had a small meditation on how to present the matter to the whole family. When Khushi and family had left, he asked them to settle back as she had to discuss something important and it required all their presence. She asked Lavanya to take Madhu with her.

Nani : I want to talk something to all of you.

Mamaji : What happened amma ? Anything important?

Nani : Yes. I am thinking of conducting Akash's marriage too with Chottes.

Akash felt a lightning current passing through his body and if the thermometer had checked his temperature would have bursted the mercury.

Mamiji : but why a sudden decision?

Nani : Not a sudden decision. He is also of Arnav' age. Just a year smaller, he also has to get married.Its the right age.

Anjali : Ok Nani , but how does it happen along with chotte?We havent even started looking for proposals.

Nani : I have found out one girl for him. I think she is the best girl for him

Akash was praying to all the Gods as he knew his bhai and bhabhi has got their plan into action. He didnt think they will attack Nani on the first ball. But for sure they had a done a good deed now it would be easier to proceed as the Captain of their house is in their hands.

Mami : ah ? Sasuma... so soon you found out ? You didnt tell us..

Nani : Wont you agree to what I decide Manorama?

Mamji : No Amma. Not like that. We know you would select the best partners for your grandchildren. We dont have any doubt.

Anjali: But Nani, who is it? Do you know the family?

Nani : Her name is Payal. I saw her in Khushi bitiya's house. I liked her nature and I asked Khushi bitiya about her. She seems to be her friend and more like sisters from childhood.

Mami : What Khushi's friend? what about their family ?

Nani : They have a small shop in the town like Sashiji. Payal is a teacher too.

Mami : Sasuma.. No.. We will look for some other girl. How are you sure that the girl is nice with just one look?

Nani : Not with the look I decided but the word I trust from Khushi bitiya made me decide. We can go to their house talk to them and finally conclude. I am not asking you to get your son marry her tomorrow.

Anjali was thinking about their talks when Shyam who was noticing Akash's fear factor expression nudged her. Anjali also noticed the varied expression of her brother when Nani was talking abt Payal and his mother against the idea. She glanced at Shyam who conveyed through the eyes that it was the same girl who they had seen on the other day at Khushi's house . But if they were in affair who would have convinced Nani? Anjali had a mild doubt as her brother too would have involved in this secret planning.

Anjali : Mami,Nani is right. We can meet the girl once and we can decide about marriage after consulting with them.

Mami : Why dont you understand?I am looking out for a better girl for my son and you both are forcing me.

Nani: What better girl? What is that criteria you are looking out for Manorama? If its money and status then watch out your past before letting out another word. I have decided we are going to see Payal soon.

Manorama was quiet at the word but she felt so agitated for being forced to accept the decision. She had high hopes to get a rich girl and to equal their status in the society. She was too much scared to think about if they liked the girl the marriage might happen as per their wish. She couldnt tolerate anything beyond as she had lost her freedom to find a suitable bahu for herself and she was sure her husband would agree to what his mother decides. She went in.

Akash gulped down his fear and looked at Nani like a small kid waiting to receive the punishment soon. Anjali and Shyam agreed with mama that they can go and meet Payal soon and think about the further proceedings. All of them left except Akash who came near Nani with shivering hands.

Akash ( stammering): Nani .. thanks..

Nani : Akash bitwa, enough. I agreed this for Chotte and Khushi bitiya's happiness.. They consider your happiness more. You know about how I value this affair and relationships. I dont want to hear more explanations on that. Lets see if everything goes well. If all of them liked Payal and their family like you we shall proceed for your marriage along with Chotte and Khushi marriage.

Nani left a worried Akash as he was sure to find some glass breaking questions by his mom to Payals's family as she is not happy with it. He mentally thanked his brother and bhabhi but wanted to have a talk with to get the boosting confidence.

Abhay was storming into the flat when Arnav had opened the door for him letting him in early in the morning. Abhay threw his bag and sat on the couch keeping his head in his palms as if he was irritated by something. Arnav could sense some intense pressure building up in him. Arnav got ready ane went and sat near Abhay with a cup of coffee.

Arnav: whats your new problem?

Abhay: Nothing. Come lets leave. Its time.

Arnav: You came here to share something with me. I know.

Abhay : uh. How can you be like this Arnie? You are such a sweet heart.

Arnav : eeh.. wait dont start your over sweet statements.

Abhay :You are the only one who listen to my problems. No one understand me..

Arnav: Not again. What trouble have u brought now?

Abhay : Amma called me. They are planning to get me married soon.

Arnav: Wow. Thats nice. Atlast a chance for you to turn good in life.

Abhay : Shut up Arnie. They are going to tie my life to one girl. Can you believe that? Ughh.. sorry I am sharing my feelings to a wrong person..

Arnav ( smiling) : Yea. I m wrong person in your eyes, I cant help it. And if aunty asks me to help her in this regard, I would surely do. She is like my mom. I know how to make you bend to my orders.

Abhay : Dont say a word. This is all because of you. The moment she heard about your marriage has been fixed she is behind me to get married.She has started looking out for proposals as well. How rude is that?

Arnav: wah wah.. finally you are going to get trapped. I am happy for you Abhi.. But dont you dare live like how you have been living all these days. If I find anything wrong I will just get the hell out of you Beware!

Abhay : Damn why did I come and pour my feelings here? I got into more trouble.

Arnav getting up took his bag and got ready to leave.

Arnav: Yea..trouble -not for you but for the girl who is going to marry you. God bless her.

Time for his call and Arnav was moving towards his cabin. He saw Vishal and Anita arguing upon something and went near by them..

Arnav: Hey whats happening?

Anita: Hai boss. Nothing this Vishal is too much now a days.

Vishal: Im too much ? So what are you?

Arnav: Just relax.. whats the problem? I havent seen you guys fighting like this.

Anita : Its just nothing boss. As time goes by the intensity of love also fade away. Like how Vishal was all lovey dovey when we started loving each other. Now see his real face showing up.

Vishal : As if you didnt show that. You were also behaving so nice now you have also started changing.

They resumed their quarrel while Arnav became very thoughtful over the statement. He felt something hard hit on his mind waking his senses that will their love also have to pay the depreciation as time moves by?He moved towards his cabin and leaned on his chair thinking.

Arnav: Whats that Khushi ?

Khushi : You mentioned something should not happen to the family again if Akashji marriage doesnt happen. Shall I know was there any problem?

Arnav was tongue tied at this. Today he had enough to think but now another reason to shut his mood off.
