Part 3
Manvi came back home after working tirelessly in office. Like every day, she peeped in the kitchen to see her sister smiling and laughing with Virat. Manvi used to feel good seeing her so happy and this was all because of the person she hates the most. Virat still annoyed her; played pranks on her like before but now a days she didn't mind him doing that with her because he used to bring smile on her sister's face.
Manvi:- guys what r u both doing here??
Virat:- nothing just chit chatting….
Manvi smiled and sat beside Aisha at dining table….
Manvi:- what were u both talking? Share with me as well….
She looked at Aisha hoping she would talk with her normally as she does with Virat….
Aisha:- (getting up from chair) good night Virat… I m feeling sleepy…. I think I should go back to bed…
Virat:- but Aisha….
Aisha didn't wait till Virat completes his sentence and stormed towards her room. Manvi sat there numb looking her going away. She always tried to make conversation with her but Aisha spoke very little. Manvi was hurt by her ignorance.
Virat:- I know it's not my business but I think u should talk with her….
Manvi got up and moved upstairs towards Aisha's room to talk with her and to know the reason behind her coldness towards her.
Manvi entered her room and saw her lying on bed with wide open eyes….
Manvi:- Aisha I want to talk to u…NOW!!!
Aisha:- sorry…. I want to sleep. we can talk some other day….
Manvi: - I m fed up Aisha. Why r u avoiding me???
Aisha: - no I m not….
Manvi: - yes u r… I mean the way u r with Virat why can't u be the same with me after all I m Ur di. I am trying my best to keep u happy, but u r still sad and upset on me. I really want to know reason for everything…
Aisha got up from bed and walked near manvi fuming in anger.
Aisha:- u really want to know why I m not same with u like I m with Virat…???
Manvi:- yes… I want to know…. (With stern voice)
Aisha:- it's because I hate u, I hate ur family and everybody there, who was related to my dad's family….
Aisha let out her feelings enough loud which made manvi flinch seeing so much hatred for her in her eyes. She was stunned with Aisha's outburst. She was confused thinking what made her hate them so much…
Manvi:- but what did we do that u hate us so much??
Aisha:- from the day my parents got married they always felt bad thinking about u and ur mum. They always wanted to ask the forgiveness for what they did. Some years back they decided to meet u guys in India and tell u that they were sorry for whatever they did. But u know what, when we reached that house of Urs in Delhi, we were not even allowed to enter in. ur uncle bashed my dad badly and the most hurtful part was that he abused my mom saying her a wh**e…. from that day I never saw my parents happy, mostly my mom. She was totally shattered by Ur uncle's words. She always cursed herself for coming between Ur mum and dad. She used die every day thinking of those words Ur uncle said to her. Since that dreadful day my family never had been a normal family.
U at last had Ur mom with whom u were happy but I lived like an orphan even thought I had parents with me!!!!!
Tears came down rolling from Manvi's eyes seeing Aisha's pain. She never thought her uncle would have done such thing with her dad's family.
Aisha cried loudly falling down on her knees. She let out all the pain she was hiding these years in her heart. Manvi moved near her kneeling down with tears in her eyes…
Manvi:- Aisha….(in low voice)
Aisha:- I don't want ur sympathy. Just leave me alone….
Manvi:- but I just….
Aisha:- PLEASE LEAVE!!!!
Manvi was hurt by her words. She didn't know how to console her as she herself needed a shoulder to cry. Tears were streaming down her cheeks feeling the pain Aisha was going through all alone at such young age. She felt like she was seeing young herself in her.
Manvi got up silently and went on terrace taking a wine bottle and glass with her. Whenever she felt low or felt like crying she would compose herself by drinking wine as she had no one to share her pain and after getting sober she used to feel at ease. But today even after drinking half of the bottle she wasn't able to forget anything that happened with Aisha and even with her. She started crying loud cursing fate for being so unfair to both of them. Just then Virat came there rubbing his eyes as he heard some voice coming from upstairs. He was shocked to see manvi in that state. He never saw her so much broken before. He came near and sat beside her on swing.
Virat:- u wanna talk??
Manvi suddenly hugged his arm leaning on his shoulder and started crying loud again….
For a minute Virat felt as if his heart stopped beating. He never in his worst dreams dreamt of manvi being so close to him. He knew something was really wrong today, as manvi would never show her weak side to anybody especially to him. Then his eyes fell on the half finished wine bottle on table and knew what made her do that. He let her cry till she felt better. After a while he saw her sobs slowly decreased…
Manvi:- Aisha… (Sobbing again) she says that she hates me…. I don't want to lose her, please tell her not to hate me, please.
Virat:- no she don't hate u manvi….
Manvi:- no… she hates me Virat. She hates me a lot. Why everyone hates me, am I that bad??
Don't I have right to be happy…..to be loved by anyone...just for once. First my dad left me, and then my mom and now Aisha also wants me to leave her. I don't want to be alone again Virat. Please don't leave me... don't let me go….
Manvi clutched his arm more tightly and snuggled her face in his crook of neck. Virat found his senses going numb sensing her so close to him for first time. Her words were still running in his mind. He gulped his thoughts and tried waking her up, but she was in her deep slumber. He took his arm gently out of her grip and carried her in his arms and walked down to her room. He made her sleep and tucked her with duvet and ran out of her room before his heart pop out from his chest. The whole time he was with her he held his breath. He didn't ever think that being so close to manvi will have so much of effect on him.
Virat:- Omg!!! Manvi… nahi Virat…. u can't let her affect u…. keep chanting Ur mantra…. She is witch Sharma... She is witch Sharma!!!

Next day manvi woke up rubbing her forehead. Her head felt so heavy and it was paining a bit. She moved down towards kitchen to get some medicine, when her eyes feel on the half filled wine bottle and a glass on table. Suddenly her eyes went wide open remembering last night.
Manvi:- u idiot manvi… were u drunk to say those words to that pervert. (After a pause) actually I was drunk… but how fool of myself to say that to him. How am I gonna face him now. Hope he won't take it in other way. Oh dear god…. please help me….
Manvi joined her hands closing her eyes…
Virat:- don't worry balike (its hindi word for girl) Virat is not that insane to think about u. so stop worrying…
Manvi snapped opened her eyes to see Virat standing at door on right side of her posing like a god lifting his hand.
Manvi:- actually Virat… last night I was….
Virat:- u were totally drunk. I know. From next time please try shutting Ur mouth and keep ur hands off me …. K…
Manvi:- (pointing finger towards him) listen I told u na… I was drunk and wasn't in my senses … and by the way u was the one who came there looking for me first…
Virat:- I came there because u were crying so loud. I was disturbed because of u were howling like a dog…
Manvi:- what!!!! u called me a dog…. I m not gonna leave u Virat… now see how I will bite u like dog…
And they started their chasing game. But after a few minutes they were disturbed by a knock on door. Virat signaled her to stop by showing his hand as they were huffing badly. He moved towards door and opened it to see some girl standing in front of him and smiling wide.
Virat:- hi…
Stacy:- is manvi in there… I m her secretary Stacy….
Virat:- (shaking hand) oh hi… I m Virat her…. (Hesitating) house..
Stacy:- housekeeper cum nanny… I know it. She tells me everything. Don't need to be ashamed of Ur work. (Entering in the house)
Manvi came towards living room to see with whom Virat was talking….
Manvi:- Virat who is there on door… (Looking at Stacy) hey Stacy, what r u doing here?
Stacy:- actually I was nearby for some work so thought of going office with u.
Manvi:- k.. Wait I'll get ready in few minutes… till then Virat please get my coffee ready…
And she stormed towards upstairs leaving Virat and Stacy back in kitchen…
Virat was preparing breakfast and coffee for manvi and Stacy was going through some files sitting on the chair at dining table…
Virat:- so Stacy since when u work with witch…(biting lip) I mean manvi…
Stacy:- (leaving a giggle) since one and a half year. We both joined the company together.
Virat:- then u both must be like best friends, don't u??
Stacy:- yes… we never hide anything from each other…..
Virat thought for a while and smiled…
Virat:- Stacy I want to ask u something…. Can I??
Stacy:- ya of course….
Virat:- Is Aisha Manvi's real sis? I mean we were in same college and her friends told me that she was only daughter of her parents. Then where did Aisha come from??
Stacy:- she is her half sister. Manvi's dad left her mom and married Aisha's mom.
Virat:- what!! Really!! Then why did manvi take Aisha in her home. I mean her mom was the reason behind her parents separation then how can she let their daughter live with her. Isn't she angry on them….
Stacy:- I think u don't know about her at all. Let me tell u the whole story…
And Stacy started narrating Virat how her parents got separated and then her mother's death then her father's and Aisha's mom accident and their last wish.
Virat was speechless for a moment. He never got to know this side of manvi. He kind of felt like respecting her.
Virat:- I m so regretting asking u to tell about her past. I feel like respecting her for having such big heart…. OMG Stacy can u take all Ur words back. I can't live like this…. I feel like suffocating….
Stacy laughed seeing scared face of Virat. Just then manvi entered kitchen looking suspiciously towards Virat and Stacy…
Manvi:- what's going on here? Why is he looking like as if he has seen a ghost??
Stacy:- actually he …
Virat:- (cutting her sentence on middle) actually she was telling me story a of a evil witch. It was really scary….
Stacy tried suppressing her laugh looking at both of them….
Manvi:- oh… that means u both were talking about me. U know what….I don't care.
She took the travelling coffee mug kept on kitchen slab and turned to walk out… but suddenly she turned around as she remembered something important…
Manvi:- Virat… I want u to look after Aisha whole day. I mean she is really upset so please don't let her be alone. I'll be back home early today…. bye!!!
Virat:- bye!!
Manvi left for office with Stacy. Virat thought of looking for Aisha in her room as she was still not downstairs for breakfast like every day. Virat peeped in the room with breakfast tray and saw her standing near window looking out……..back facing him.
Virat:- good morning angel !!! (Keeping her breakfast on table) I made Ur favorite breakfast. Now just come here and pound on it.
She still didn't move a bit or spoke a word with him. He moved near her and turned her around. He saw her eyes were swollen and tears were still running down her eyes.
Virat:- hey angel don't cry….
She suddenly hugged him tightly and started crying letting out remaining tears she had.
Virat:- (thinking) they both cry alike and even their reactions are same (thinking of manvi's hug)… now I don't have any doubt…. they r sisters!!!!!
Aisha:- Virat I don't want to live here anymore. I want to go back to London….
Virat pulled her back from hug gently and made her sit on bed and sat in front of her on knees holding her hand.
Virat:- Aisha why r u punishing urself and manvi for whatever both of Urs parents did with u and her. It's high time now u should let the past go and accept the present.
Aisha:- u don't know anything Virat about what her family did with my mom…
Virat:- I don't even want to know Aisha. But tell me one thing did manvi ever harm Ur mom or Ur dad and specially u in any way???
Aisha kept mum looking down….
Virat:- don't u think u r punishing her for the deeds that her family did. Is it fair to make her suffer like this? Just keep urself on her place Aisha and tell me how u would have reacted when u would come to know that Ur dad left u and Ur mom for some other women. U would have probably hated that women and their child because of whom u lost Ur dad. But manvi didn't do that with u and Ur parents. She forgave Ur parents and never complained for once, besides after ur parents death she took u with her and most important part she loves u. she is trying hard to keep u happy but in return u always hurt her behaving rudely. Don't u think u r being unfair to her?
Aisha looked down still crying. She never thought about manvi this way. Virat was right she was punishing her for the things which she never did.
Aisha:- Virat… I…. (Hesitating)
Virat:- u r sorry…right??
She simply nodded assuring with him. Virat smiled at her innocence and wiped her tears
Virat:- but I think it will be more better if u say this to her…..
Aisha:- is she in her room?
Virat:- no, she left for her office… but she told me that she will come home early today…
Now I think u should finish this yummy breakfast and get ready to school….
Aisha:- k… I will get ready in few minutes… (After a pause) and thanks Virat!!
Virat:- anything for u my angel!!!
Virat stood up and started walking towards door …
Ayesha:- Virat, do u like her??
Virat was shocked with her sudden surprising question….
Virat: - (turning around) NO…I still hate her. We can never ever like each other.
Aisha: - (making dreamy face) I just wish u could b my jiju and we all live happily ever after…
Virat:- (making a ewww face) thank god u didn't say that in front of witch Sharma because after seeing u wishing that she must have probably fell down getting unconscious and now I m going to dive in a ocean….. Bye!!!
Aisha giggled imagining them doing that….

Manvi came back home early as she said, to see Aisha.
Virat:- hey.. Hi…
Manvi:- how is Aisha's mood? Did she have food? Was she crying? Did she ask anything about me??
Virat got irritated by piles of questions….
Virat:- wait… let me speak….
Manvi:- then speak out fast, r u waiting for any mahurat!!!
Virat:- U……(after a pause) forget it….
Yes she was upset whole day and she was even crying. I tried talking to her but she shut her bedroom's door and didn't even let me in….. (Making worried face)
Manvi was now on verge on crying. She was hell worried for Ayesha, but Virat was enjoying seeing her.
Virat:- and I forgot to tell u. she told me that she wants to speak with u as soon as u get back home. I think she wants to go back to London….
Manvi:- really!!!!!
Manvi literally ran dropping her bag down, towards Ayesha's room.
Manvi:- (coming near Ayesha) no Ayesha… u r not going anywhere. U r not leaving me….
Ayesha:- WHAT!!
Manvi: - I mean u can't go back to London. How will u live there alone? U r still a kid….and I even promised dad and Aarti aunty that I will take care of u. so u will not go back….
Ayesha kept on looking at her sister smiling. She held her arms and shrugged her…
Ayesha:- stop it di…. I m not going anywhere!!
Manvi:- but Virat told me…
Then something snapped in her head….
Manvi:- wait… what did u call me?... di!!!!
Ayesha:- yes…. Di…. Actually I want to say u sorry!!!...
I m sorry di for my behavior. I was very rude with u, but u still kept on bearing me.
Manvi:- Ayesha…u….
Manvi was still shocked to hear Ayesha saying all this to her.
Ayesha:- I realized di that I was punishing u for what ur uncle did to my mom. U were never at fault besides u were so good to me always. I m very sorry di. Please forgive me…. (Holding her ears)
Manvi's eye got wet seeing her cute little innocent sweet sister. She pulled her in hug letting the tears flow down her eyes.
Manvi:- I was never angry on u Ayesha. I m very happy today at last I got my sister. I love u dear…..
Ayesha:- I love u too di….
Virat was watching sisters' duo standing at door. He kind of felt happy for manvi. He moved near them….
Virat:- wow… what a emotional scene!!!! I feel like hugging too….
And he moved near them opening his arms…. manvi pushed him back and started beating him on his arm….
Manvi:- get off ur hands on us. And by the way what did u say… Ayesha wants to go back to London!! U know how much scared I was!!... Today I will really kill u….
Manvi moved forward to beat him again when Ayesha pulled her back holding her arm….
Ayesha:- di…. Virat is the reason why I m with u today. He made me understand ur value in my life. Please don't fight with him…..
Manvi looked shockingly at Ayesha then at Virat with wide open eyes. She wasn't able to believe that Virat would do this for her. She kept looking at him for few moments…then she snapped herself reminding herself that he is Virat…. she can't be thinking good about him….
Virat:- so Sharma…. Don't u think u should say something to me… like thanks!!!
Manvi:- ummm… tha….(in low voice) thanks….
Virat:- Ayesha did u hear what she said? Because I didn't hear it at all….
Manvi:- ok…. THANKS!!! (Shouting angrily)
Virat:- wow!!! I m thankful to see u r so thankful to me!!!!
Now u both stop this Ek hazaroon mein meri Behana wala act and come downstairs I made yummy dinner for us…..
And he left them behind and walked out….
Manvi was still standing in same position looking at door….
Ayesha:- he is really cute na??
Manvi:- hmm….
(Manvi again snapped her head and shout) NO!!... He isn't!! I mean our office liftman is more cuter than him…. so please don't ever say that again in front of me….
And she moved out holding her head….
Manvi:- r u insane manvi…. u can't think about that scum sucking leech….. Keep on repeating ur mantra….. He is pervert vadhera…he is pervert vadhera!!!!
