Damn well written there! Now I hold a slightly different opinion of Akash. For me he's a dark character and I feel his potential was gravely under utilized on the show. He's surrounded by strong yet thick headed people. Arnav, nani, his own mother but its his fathers trait of nonchalance that he wears as a mask. Akash is the utopian ideal son, or atleast what he showcases himself to be but ofcourse he has dreams and aspirations and moreover.. A life! That he'd like to live without being judged and not to forget, ridiculed, courtesy his maternal lineage.
I think he's with Arnav 'cause he's learning and preparing for a coup. Ufff.. Filmy.. I know but somehow Akash to me is way more than a vulnerable, bespectacled, stammering goofball.
And so payal, who's been the good daughter but always over shadowed by K's outgoing nature, meets his mate in Akash, there should be fireworks!
I do like your perspective and the way you've put it and vedder just adds to the magic!
