OS: Let's get married

The car screeched to a halt in front of the mandir…Arnav came out and dragged out Khushi from the passenger seat….

"Excuse me..why did you bring me here Arnavji???" asked a totally bewildered Khushi..

He pulled her through the stairs and they went to stand in front of Devi Maiyya's idol…

"Arnavji wha…." She tried to say something but was stopped midway by his deathly glare.

"Khushi…I want us to get married right away"…

"WHAAATTT???"

"You heard me right Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta…I want to get married to you right now"

"OMG Arnavji…I didn't know you are such a despo.." she immediately bit her tongue thinking of what she just uttered

"WHAAATTT" It was Arnav's turn to be surprised now…

"Aur nahi to kya Arnavji….aise koi karta hai kya?? Aaj to jiji ki shaadi hai…pehle unki shaadi ho jaane dijiye…phir hum araam se baithke apna plan bana lenge…ghar walo ki marzi bhi…" she was stopped mid way by a loud "SHUT UP" from Arnav…

"I am not asking you to marry me…I am ordering you to get married to me rightaway"

"Wohi to Arnavji…your desperation shows more in that" blushed Khushi…

"Khushi Kumari Gupta…if you do not get married to me this moment, I will…I will.."

"You will do what Arnavji?" she grinned

"I will break Payal and Akash's marriage just now" he replied with a wicked smirk….

"What the!!!"

"That's my line Khushi…don't you dare say it back to me"

"Ye shabd aapne aavishkar kiya??"

"No"

"Have you patented it?"

"No"

"Phir ye line aapki kaise ho gayi??"

"Don't try to mess with me Khushi…"

"Ye lo…mazaak aap kar rahe hai…and you are saying ki I am trying to mess with you…you are actually very funny Arnavji"

"Khushi I think you have not heard me properly….I said I am going to break Payal and Akash's marriage if you don't get married to me this instant…"

"I heard you loud and clear Arnavji…that's why I told you you are very funny….aisa koi karta hai kya?? Ye kya sale chal raha hai?? Ek shaadi kiya to doosra muft…he he" she uttered gleefully..

"You don't know me Khushi…"

"Arre I know you very well..that's why I am saying ki aisa mazaak aapko shobha nahi deta.."

He held by her shoulder and uttered fiercely "KHUSHIII…LISTEN TO ME PROPERLY…IF YOU DON'T GET MARRIED TO ME NOW, I WON'T LET YOUR SISTER'S MARRIAGE HAPPEN"

Khushi tried to keep her calm….she just looked at Arnav and asked.."And what exactly are you going to do to stop this marriage?"

"I will defame her in front of everybody…saying that she is a characterless girl" he stated with an evil smirk on his face…

"I am sure that you do not love your brother…aaj tak jo bhi aapne kiya Akash ji ke liye sab dikhawa tha…. Also, you are not at all grateful to your mama, mami, nani for all they have done for you…Shame on you Arnavji.." she nodded her head

"WHAT DO YOU BLOODY MEAN BY THAT????"

"Did you ever think the effect of this on YOUR family?? The brother who worships you, the nani, mama, mami who are a great part of your life..have you ever thought how they will feel? Your brother loves my jiji a lot…he will be heartbroken…maybe he can become a second Devdas also…"

"Now..who is this Devdas??"

"Heyyy Devi Maiyya….Laad governor does not even know Devdas…is Ignorance ko kya naam doon" she muttered under her breath….

"Nothing Arnavji…just imagine how heartbroken your brother will be…will you be able to see him that way??"

The scenes flashed in front of his eyes…Di's marriage…his ma committing suicide…next scene..Akash pulling the trigger on his head…..Nani, mama, mami screaming..Nani having a heart attack…..

"NOOO" he shouted…"I can't do that.."

"That is what I am telling you Arnavji….aap itne patthar dil bhi nahi hai…..Achcha..by the way…y are you so despo to get married to me?? Ye to bataiyye…."

"Mujhe tumhaare baare mmein sab kuch pata chal gaya hai Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta…"

"Meri zindagi to ek khuli kitaab hai….aapko naya kya pata chala mere baare mein??" she wondered loudly…

"Don't act so innocent Miss Gupta..you know very well what I have come to know…."

"No seriously..I don't understand Arnavji..."

"OK..so again you want to play dirty games with me…"

"Arre baba…mujhe abhi khelne ka koi shaukh nahi hai…udhar meri jiji ki shaadi ho rahi hai…late ho jayenge to sab maza khatam ho jayega..plzz Arnavji..baat ko gol gol mat ghumaiye..come to the point.."

"OK Miss Gupta..so listen..I know that you are having an affair with my jijaji" he shouted…

Khushi was dumbstruck!!! "KYA?????? Ye kya keh rahe hai aap?? Are you in your bloody senses? Do you even realize what you have just said?"

"Mere saamne naatak mat karo Khushi…I saw you and Shyam hugging on the terrace that day….So tell me Miss Gupta…what do you have to say in your defence?"

"I do not have to say anything about myself Mr Raizada…but about you..I have to say just one thing..YOU ARE AS DUMB AS AN ASS"

Arnav stared at her with a foolish look on his face….'Did she just call me an ass..i mean a Donkey?'

"You heard me absolutely right Mr Raizada…no sorry..I think you are more foolish than a donkey… I wonder how you run this empire of yours…Oh I forgot you have the hard-working, never-taking-leaves, always-available-on-the-phone and invisible-to-others Aman running the company for you…."

"Khushi..what..how..why…."

"Ask one question at a time..you want to know why I called you an ass..right?"

He simply nodded still having that silly baffled look on his face

"So, Mr Raizada, did you really think that I will fall for a married man who does not have even one tenth of your good looks, your hotness, your cuteness, your everything?? And that too when I know that you have got some feelings for me?? You may be a jackass Arnav ji…but I am not…even though I think from my heart, my brain is not totally dead like you… I mean seriously Arnavji… that Shyam of all the people??"

Arnav's mind was wondering somewhere else…."So she finds me cute?? He he…no one on the earth has ever told me that…not even as a kid" He smiled foolishly…

"Now..why are you feeling so blissful?"

"Khushi..do you really think I am cute? And…how did you know I had feelings for you?"

"Arnavji..you just require some common sense to see that.."

Arnav came back to his senses again…"Then why were you hugging him on the terrace that day? And why did he say that you 2 have an affair…?"

"I DID NOT hug him….it was him who was hugging me…When he said he was having an affair with me, why did you not come and ask me? Duffer kahiin ke"

'Why did I not think of all this earlier?? What a big mistake I was going to commit…' he thought

"It's ok Arnavji…tab socha nahi tha..but abhi to samjhe na…waise bhi bade bade desho mein aisi chhoti chhoti baatein hoti rehti hai… Humse maafi maangne ki zaroorat nahi hai..humne aapko maaf kar diya…"

"Thank you Khushi…for forgiving me, and more for saving me the whole redemption process….I just can't take it, you know…."

"I know Arnavji…abhi jaldi chaliye…"

"Khushi…shaadi to abhi tak khatam ho gayi hogi…" he stated apologetically…

"To kya hua Arnavji? Humein jalebiyan, ras malai aur laddoo to milenge na khaane mein…aur der ho gayi to wo bhi khatam ho jayenge…chaliye chaliye…"

"UNBELIEVABLE!!!!"
