Hey I'm back with an update. Just a small one as I have got some free time.

Chapter 12:

"I'm engaged Rey" She said closing her eyes.

"What? When? How?" He asked trying to balance himself straight. Though he was under the effect of alcohol but still tried to compose himself.

"He was my best friend since eighth grade. His name was Ranvijay. We met through a business meet. My dad and his dad had just then signed a business deal. My dad was one of the richest industrialists of Dehradun. Everyone wished to work with him and only few people could fetch this opportunity. And his dad was one among them. His dad was his only family. They got easily gelled along with my family. My parents were my only family. My dad trusted his dad more than needed. They were no longer our business partners. Instead they had become a part of our family. We were so close to each other. We were unaware about their real intentions. They were not the ones that they pretended to be. Four years back my parents died in a road accident at least that was what everyone believed. From that day his dad took care of me. I didn't have even the slightest idea that his dad who pretended to love me was the one who killed my parents. Initially his son was out of all this conspiracy, until that one day!."

Kriya paused at this. She closed her eyes, letting the tears drops make their way down her cheeks remembering how her life had taken a drastic change from that day.

"Until which day kriya??" He asked catching his head which was aching due to the heavy dose of alcohol.

"Rey I think you should take rest now. You're not able to even stand on your feet. We'll talk about it tomorrow,"

"Just tell me what happened dammit." He said gritting his teeth clearly expressing that he wanted to know the rest of her story and this trying to delay thing of hers was irritating him.

Letting out a deep breath she further continued.

"It was just a normal day and I was in my room getting ready to get admission in the college as the results of our twelfth boards were out the previous day. That day I forgot to lock the main door of my bed room and unknown to this fact I stepped out from the washroom just covered in a towel. At the same moment he entered my room. Both of us were shocked. I hurriedly took a bed sheet placed nearby and covered myself totally. But the damage was done. I failed to recognize the desire that had invoked within him. I couldn't understand the lust in his eyes that had developed in a fraction of second. He apologized and left. I thought he might have forgotten it but I was wrong. Since that day I saw a different side of him. He used to find various reasons to touch me or get close to me. I'd always ignored all those actions of his as he had blinded me in his mask of goodness. His creepy actions grew day by day on not having any reaction from me. His guts grew even bolder. I couldn't understand anything going on or maybe I was too naive to comprehend anything. At one side his father always persuaded me to sign some papers and like a sightless person I was even ready to. But whenever I put the pen on the paper something or the other would happen and I couldn't sign those papers. On the other hand RV got even more gallant and started hugging and touching me more than necessary in public places, clearing knowing that I don't like such behavior. Things got worse as the time passed by. RV never bothered to answer any of my questions and claimed me as his personal property. I understood the whole situation when my dad's lawyer enlightened me with the real intentions of those jerks. I trusted those people a lot. They were like a second family to me. The truth hit hard on me. His dad purposefully killed my parents only to own all our property but later they got to know that the property was on my name. And on the other hand, RV had developed a lust, a sexual desire for me and wanted to have me anyway possible. When I confronted them, they simply laughed at me. Until then they were nice and polite to me but from that day they were harsh and rude to me. RV kissed me publicly on his birthday making a fun of me in front of the others. It was my first kiss and unfortunately it was something that I hate to think about. I was treated like a slave. Many times RV tried to force me somehow I escaped. But I couldn't escape his sexual harassment that he did in public. He made me wear very short dresses and ordered me to seduce him. Often in public he'd touch me at places he shouldn't. He harassed me physically and mentally too apart from sexually. He made me eat and drink weird drinks to teach me a lesson for not having obeyed him. He wasn't the RV I had known. This RV was some heartless sexually obsessed guy because the RV I had known can never ever harm me. I had to sign those property papers. On my birthday his dad announced our engagement without my consent. And to my surprise my engagement ring turned out to be my mother's possession. I couldn't accept it neither I could throw it away as it was the sole remembrance of my parents apart from their photos and memories. I somehow wanted to get out of that hell. Few months back, I was supposed to get married to RV. But i didn't want to live in that hell and my best friend helped me eloping from there. She wore the wedding dress and took my place in the wedding. I had almost crossed their house when I saw the goons following me. I don't know how but RV had got to know that I had escaped. And then while hiding from them, I crashed in front of your mother's car. And when I narrated everything to her, it was then I found that she and my mom were childhood besties and this is how I landed here."

As she completed, she wiped her tears. She hoped that he'd say something but on not getting any response from his she turned around. He stood there like a statue. After having another 3-4 sips of his beer that he was carrying in his hand, he spoke "Come near me."

She was confused but did as he said. Instead of letting him react further, she took that beer bottle and placed it away and spoke "Rey, you've had an overdose of beer. You should take rest."

"You think that I wouldn't remember anything in the morning, right?" He asked rather than replying to her. She just nodded a yes as she had thought the same. He gave a small smile and balancing himself, he pulled her close to him catching her waist.

"Rey, yeh aap..." He didn't let her speak by placing a finger on her lips.

He pinned a few strands of her hair behind her ears and stared at her. She felt uneasy because she was still under the assumption that it was alcohol that was controlling him rather than him.

"It's not the alcohol." He said reading her mid. But still she wasn't convinced. From the past experience she had with RV, her heart refrained from being convinced. Giving her a short smile he inched near her while she bent backwards.

"Shhh, stand still."

"Rey I think you need to leave."

Not bothering to answer her, he caught hold of her both hands in his one hand while the other one supported her waist. Nearing to her, he placed a long kiss on the edge of her lips, shocking her. Breaking the contact between his lips and her skin, he turned around to leave. Stumbling across the ground he made a move. As he was about to fall, she moved near to help him but his words made her stop. "I'll manage" he said.

Unsure about the events of tomorrow, Kriya lay on her bed and closed her eyes, awaiting the sleep to take its charge... As soon as Rey entered his room, he fell on the bed and in an instant went into his dreamland.
