Eshaan's heart beats were running faster with every single minute his eyes were falling on Jannat. 'Nothing will happen to you, I won't let you go away'' Eshaan was consoling Jannat but moreover he was trying to make himself believe that after two years of separation he can't let anything happen to her at any cost.'Please stay here, you are not allowed to enter in ICU'' the nurse told to Eshaan forcing him to stand outside of the ICU.

AT THE RECEPTION

'Excuse me, where is ICU?'' Jannat's mother asked to the receptionist.

Ishaan was standing frozen on his place as the doctor moved away clearing his view.

Tej and Edha were on the stretchers wounded and lifeless. Then he heard that old aged man passing through him, talking to the doctor, 'Please doctor, you have to do it, he is a criminal and that is the only way I could save my daughter from him, you have to end his life''.

Eshaan was going through the toughest times of his life, on one hand Jannat was in ICU, fighting for her life and on the other hand Edha's father was trying to kill Tej during his medical treatment.

But answer for the question he was not getting was 'Why Edha's father was trying to kill Tej? And why was he trying to separate Tej and Edha? And why the hell he was saying that he is a criminal?'' he has to save his friend at any cost, only he is the person who could answer all his questions.

He was struggling with his thoughts when a known voice interrupted him, 'How is she?'' Jannat's mom was standing behind Eshaan, 'She is in ICU'' Eshaan answered quietly, for few seconds both of them were quiet, 'Jannat had never ditched you, it was his father'', all of a sudden Jannat's mother confessed taking Eshaan with a surprise, 'What...What do you mean by that?'' Eshaan asked confused, 'you remember once Jannat had told you that she was going for a singing competition?, that time you were out of City because of your football tournament representing your collage. When Jannat won semi-finale of the competition one of her opponent forced her to eat sweets on her victory.'' She paused to look at Eshaan who was listening her carefully with all the mixed emotions he was going through, 'She had mixed vermillion in them, because of which my daughter lost her voice'', eshaan was heartbroken on the information he got through Jannat's mother, before his legs could give up he sat down on the nearby bench 'but she could have got her voice back, if...'', 'I tried but Jannat was not co-operating with us, she didn't wanted to socialize with any one after you left her, she parted herself from the outer world, so that she could not face anyone, who could show sympathy on her.'' Jannat's mother finally cried remembering all the pains her daughter was gone through, 'I left her? It was not me, it was she who ditched me, I came to her but she didn't even dare to face me, to tell me that she wanted a break up from this relationship, I lost my father because your daughter insulted him to that extend that he couldn't tolerate it, what was his fault?, he was just trying to sort out everything between both of us and she...'' Eshaan's face was fully red remembering his father lying in the hospital taking his last breaths.

'No, No, It was not her, that night when you were thrown out of the house, Your father came to us, Jannat didn't even knew that you and your father were there to meet us, she was in hospital for her treatment, after which she decided to quit all her treatments, it was not Jannat, it was not me, it was her father who tried to separate both of you'', Mrs. Singhania finally revealed about the real villain between Jannat and Eshaan taking Eshaan by shock.

'From the very beginning he was against your relationship, he always wanted to be in the good books of Jannat that's why he always used me, so that I can create misunderstanding between you but when I denied, he himself decided to separate you both, he rejected all your calls, he used to check all her mails before her and delete them before she could know about them, he tried all possible ways so that you both cannot contact each other at any cost, once Jannat had gone to your home to meet you but by then you have left the city, She didn't even know about your father being dead. Her father poisoned her ears about you insulting him, asking for handsome money to leave you and what not''

'And you didn't said a single word, when all this was going, knowing everything?'' Eshaan taunted her feeling devasted on the truth he was confronting after two years of destruction, 'I tried... I tried hard to tell Jannat about her father's real face but she hated me so much that she didn't even heard a single word against her father from me, I am her step mother after all,'' Mrs. Singhania broke down on the last statement she made, 'I left Mr. Singhania after a month I got to know about you leaving the city and your father being dead, I tried Jannat to take with me but her father poisoned her so much that she didn't even want to see my face, I was left with no option then to leave without her''.

'I am sorry'' Eshaan apologized for misunderstanding her for years.

AFTER TWO YEARS...

Eshaan was nervously standing in the hall looking almost all around of the hall, 'Enough Eshaan, don't be so nervous, it's your engagement and she is your jenny'', Jannat's mom scolded Eshaan for being so nervous at his own engagement ceremony, 'sorry, it's my first time'', Eshaan spoke up without thinking but suddenly realized his mistake as he saw his would be MIL slapping her forehead, 'sorry, I didn't mean that'', Eshaan apologized to which Miss. Singhania broke out in fits of laughter. Miss. Singhania, yes she was now Miss. Singhania, it's been two years, she has divorced Mr. Singhania and the most strangest part was, it was Jannat who encouraged her for this, 'don't behave like a teenage boy, who got nervous on his first date'', Miss Singhania again laughed but this time Eshaan too joined her. Soon their laughter was joined by the slow murmurs around them which made them to look at the entrance of the hall.

Jannat was descending near the stage where her mother and her would be fiance were standing. A bright smile spread across her lips as soon as her eyes met with the love of her life. It's been two years since that incident, she still remembers every bit of that moment when her eyes finally found him in the hospital corridors struggling with the constables, how badly she wanted to run to him and tell him that it was all a misunderstanding created by her own father, it was not them, their love was not weak but before she could have moved forward to reach for him, he was dragged by the police away from her. She tried to move but was too weak and exhausted to even walk a step, she had literally dragged herself till there but after that she couldn't able to stand properly on her own feet, only if her mom wouldn't holded her she would have been obviously broken her head by dashing herself near the glass door.

Her smiled widen as she saw Eshaan looking at her with the same intensity as he used to look at her when they had started to explore their new relationship in collage.

Somewhere she knew that she can't blame her father for all the things they have gone through. Somewhere she knew that it was their lack of trust in their relationship and her father new very well about their doubts. She had shared everything with him only if she had knew that what he was actually planning to do.

As soon as Jannat reached to the stage, Eshaan moved forward and withdrew his hand for her. Somewhere 'Jannat still felt strange and still have a doubt about moving ahead in her life walking with him. Well how could she not doubt about it, she had lost her voice years ago and is still not able to convey her thoughts properly. It was Eshaan who forced her to learn the sign language, not only that, he use to sit with her till her classes gets over and he himself learns with her, as if it was needed, she had protested Eshaan as to why HE was learning, she is mute but not a deaf that he had to learn it to convey his thoughts but Eshaan being Eshaan, didn't listen to her protest and said 'it is important to you and that's all matter to me, if you are going to be sitted in this place for hours then I'll be beside you, whether you like it or not''. Jannat smiled at the thought as she places her hand in his plams, who wrapped his fingers around her and slightly drags her upwards to the stage. It was not necessary for her to learn any language to convey her thoughts to him. Whether she is able to say it or not, Eshaan understood everything, everything single thought going in her mind.

Edha's mom was sitting a little far from the stage leaving first few rows of the hall, looking at the cute couple smiling at each other. As the ceremony goes in full swing and Jannat and Eshaan exchanged their rings, her mind goes back to the day in the hospital where her husband was interrogating the innocent boy.

The moment she got to know that Tej was dead and they have arrested someone for his murder, she ran to find her husband. Somewhere she knew that the person they had arrested was innocent but her husband being a high mighty commissioner and still being in the rage of not being able to stop her daughter to run back to the person he despises the most, he would surely let out all his anger on the man and would have made sure that he would have spended his whole life behind the bars. But her breath was caught up in her lungs as soon as she reached the room they were interrogating in and her eyes fell on the person tied to the chair. He was not a man but a boy merely of 25 or 26?

Edha's mom took a deep breath as she saw the couple dancing in the middle of the floor lost in each other.

The instant her eyes fell on the boy she recognized him as one of her daughters friend, she had seen him few times dropping Edha home and as the realization drawn, her eyes were burning with rage and an unknown emotion she herself doesn't recognized. That was the moment she had decided that she will fight not for the boy but for the truth she herself buried somewhere with the fear of losing her family and her husband. She had never raised her voice against her husband with the fear of losing everything she had in her life, a husband, a daughter and a loving family but her silence had caused the more harm than the fear of raising her voice.

It's been two years she is living away from her husband, though they were not divorced but she couldn't find the strength to live with the man, whose so called reputation was so important that he never thought twice before running his own daughters life. She closed her eyes and released a tired sigh but when she opened them, her face brighten up at the sight of her lovely daughter dancing with Eshaan all smiling and enjoying but being a mother she was completely aware of the emptiness behind her jovial nature and beautiful smile.

When her daughter learned about Tej's death she didn't responded as if she had knew about it long before, she was unevenly quiet and calm, she hadn't expected her daughter to be all quiet and calm but instead she was ready to engulf a broken and a crying Edha at the loss of her love but the only reaction she got from her daughter was silence.

But she didn't questioned her at that moment, though she was hell worried about her behavior but at the same time she didn't wanted to push her for something she was emotionally so much attached that it would have broken her beyond repair.

Edha has finally managed to get herself out of Jannat and Eshaan's reach and now is standing near the fountain outside the engagement hall.

When she had woken up on the hospital bed on the day Tej died, her mom and her dad was beside her, she wanted to cry, she wanted to shout at her father and ask him, that why he had done that?, why he ruined her life?, why Tej had to die because of him?, if he wanted her to be away from him he could have simply told her, Tej would have left her without questioning. They both had already decided it that if their parents will disagree to their relationship they will not force them to accept it though they would have not backed out without trying but even though at the same time they didn't wanted to upset their parents.

That day she had decided that she will not cry, she won't mourn over his death, No, Tej would have never liked it, he will never appreciate it, she wanted him to be in peace and she had knew that he loved her so much that it would never let him be in peace if she cries or made her miserable.

She smiled looking at her best friends, a smile which only came up when she is with them, a Genuine smile though sometime it hurts her to see their fate of being together which she and Tej never had.

The day Tej died Jannat and Eshaan was there with her and from that day they never left her. Though it was difficult for her to move on in her life forgetting about everything happened with her and Tej but she did, all thanks to her best friends.

Sometimes she cried when she use to be alone but then she use to think about her friends, they both had also suffered so much but at the end of the day they are together and it gave her strength and hope that no matter what one day everything will be fine, though Tej is not with her at the moment but he is still with her everywhere, where ever she goes she can feel him around her, walking beside her, laughing with her, sitting beside her savoring the taste of their favourite chocolate drink, EVERYWHERE.

At present she is an independent woman, working with an MNC, living with her mother in an apartment which she buyed herself. Her mom and she left her father the day she discharged from hospital and decided to never return to him; this was the only best punishment they thought for him. According to her no law can make him feel all the pain and helplessness Tej had felt. This was her way of making him feel what Tej had felt. Miserable...or more than that.

Edha closed her eyes as a cool breez passed her making her feel him around her, she smiled and turned around just to see Tej standing at the opposite side of the fountain looking at her with a soft smile and with all the love he had for her. But suddenly his eyes moved somewhere else. Now he was looking behind her with a broader smile and eyes shining with happiness of being satisfied.

Confused she turned around only to find a guy nearly her age walking towards her. Still confused she again turned to face him only to find him slowly stepping back still smiling at her, then with a last wave saying bye to her he was disappeared into the shinning rays of the sun but not before winking at her.

Edha was confused because everytime it was her who turned around or shifted her gaze from him from last two years; this was the first time she saw him leaving her but why?

'Hey'' her eyes widen at the voice which came from behind her, this voice she knew it very well, not exactly but it is so close to...TEJ's.

Finally the story is finished...too long time but yes I did. As I said it before that I forget it's original ending and I have to finish it, I didn't wanted it to hang it, so the ending may not please you but I can't do anything now. Even I myself don't know what I have written. 😆 So don't find logic and please forgive me if you don't like it. But no negativity please.
