HIS [UNWANTED] LOVER

CONCEPT

Mending a broken heart is a horrible and difficult task.

NO! You don't need a spanner and all the other tools. But instead all you need is something else - a fixed heart.

They say that destiny rules the lives we live.

They say that we are lead to the same destination and the decisions we make do nothing but alter the routes and decide how exciting our journey would be.

They also said that Karma is a bitch who bit you in the ass.

If only we knew that love and pain were the part of the same package.
And accepting them was the best deal we could ever make.

Arnav Singh raizada once lead a life filled with fun and enjoyment.

A life where no one mattered to him and where no one affected or was attached to him.

He lived without the fear of losing someone.

Until he met Lavanya Gupta. Lavanya was the girl who bothered to look past his cold exterior, so he did the only thing that he could think of to keep her with him forever. He asked her to marry him and she agreed and then he started falling for his bestfriend.

Moment by moment until she betrayed him and left him promised to her sister - the younger Gupta, Khushi Gupta.

The same Khushi who he tried his best to stay away from.

The very same Khushi who haunted his memories. One particular memory he couldn't quite put his finger on.

If only it helped that 'his bethrothed' Khushi hates the mere sight of him and avoided him at all costs.

Khushi was a girl whose instincts drove her actions. She was the girl who lived her life to the fullest and broke all the rules that pretty much existed much to the displeasure of her elder sibling Lavanya.

The very sister who had accepted the role of a mother figure in Khushi's life.

The very sister who protected Khushi with all she ever had.

Khushi's bestfriend, elder sister, mother and confidant all rolled in one.

But when Khushi loses her elder sister something inside her snaps and the bad girl decides to change.

Driven by the simple idea of becoming the sibling Lavanya ever wanted Khushi to be. Khushi changes into someone no one ever dreamt she would ever turn out to be - cold, unfashionable and a social recluse who lives in her own bubble and hardly shows any emotion.

And then comes Arnav - her new fiance, her bethrothed.

The guy she hated the mere existence of.

The guy who had forgotten the very thing that happened between them.

The guy who had chosen her sister over her.

They say love works wonders, is this one of them ?

Hola Peepz..!!

Nope, none of ya;ll know me. , kinda rejoined this forum hereSO I am up with another FF. This one is a bit on the mature side.And is losely based on one of my online novels which is not updated for like a year and yeah this idea was previously launched as a multi fandom FF but I really wanna write something on ArHi here, so here i am. .Yeah typical me! Promise this one is gonna be updated soon 'cause right now I am in love with this FF! The central idea of this story is that "Life is not a disney movie and happiness doesnot last forever"..The quote that inspired me was

"Cuts, scars, bruises, lies and fake laughs. Fake smiles, constant cries and a horrifying past. Promises broken, lost loves.. and the "trust me" that didn't last."

Arnav here will be portrayed as a more mature character.And yeah there will be flashbacks that will give you some idea about their past. THIS IS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT AND NOTHING APART FROM THE CHARACTERS ARE BOROWED.Wasn't this supposed to go in the A/N section.Well will edit it tomorrow.I am too lazy right now!

Chapter One : For the First Time

The paparazzi was having a field day. Every news channel was trying to get the latest update on what really happened. Each trying to get past the security and barge in and reveal the next bit of information.

"The elder Indian Heiress Lavanya Kapoor was caught in a carcrash this morning, the elder of the Kapoor heiresses' was reported to be in a critical condition. An unfortunate incident. Lavanya's younger sibling and fiance are unavailable at the moment. Till further information this is Asmi for ENews!" said the reporter as she reported the hot and buzzing tragedy that had taken place this morning.

The Kapoor sisters are ranked to be the two of the richest heiresses, born and brought up yet sheilded from the media spotlight. Some legal order that banned any media from publishing anything until they were of the legal age of 18 and when they did th elder one being older and sensible kept a low profile while the younger one being young and carefree as they say cared a damn" and kept a scandalous record but unfortunately none of it was published.

On the other side of where this scene took place Khushi Kapoor entered the hospital barely getting away from the news hungery paparazzi who showed no interest in her sister's treatment or even bit of sadness or remorse over her accident but were all ready to grasp to and reveal any news they got. too bad they didnot recognise her well.

Khushi wiped away the tears that threathened to flow. She had promised herself that she'd be strong.She had promised herself that she won't let it get to her. She knew her sister would survive, she was a fighter amd afterall deep down in her heart she knew that it was true. Lavanya would survive, afterall she was all that Khushi had and her sister knew that.

Every step Khushi took towards her sister's room mattered,every second mattered and every thought did.

She saw the doctors swarm by and the security tighten and then she saw him.

Arnav Singh Raizada-her sister's fiance. The cold hearted billionare and heir to various multinational companies, banks, industries and god knows what else. The player who her sister had chosen to marry.

He looked pale, broken and defeated

The playfullness and smile that played in his eyes was long gone and his hair which was previously styled now resembled a mess.

"I believe we were waiting for you Miss Khushi." was all that one of the lawyers present there said as the rest of them escorted her to her sister's room. The lawyer previous she recognised as Mr.Graham.

Khushi looked at her sister. Her elder sister,her rock instead of that all she saw was her strongwilled sibling surounded by artificial life support. She looked ver to Arnav who had just entered the room and now had his gaze fixed on her sister.

"Khushi," her sister whispered, attempting to speak. "You know Arnav here. He's awesome and remember I love both of you but I'm gonna need someone to look after both of you. My irritating little sister and Arnav here"

Arnav could feel tears form in his eyes.

Tears that threathened to flow.

Tears, that threathened to reveal the weak,broken man he was behind this tough exterior.

He knew what Lavanya wanted and he had agreed to it even though it meant living the rest of this life** with someone that he didnot want to know and trapping himself in an unwanted relationship.

Fulfilling the last wish of the girl he had fallen in love with meant the world to him. So he lifted the papers lying on the table and without a second glance he signed them and passed the over to Khushi.

"Bethrothal papers,your sister wants us to matty. If anything happens to her she wants the both of us to marry each other. Your sisters last wish. Sign them"

Khushi stared at the sister who simply nodded her head and to the man who now stood beside her who didn't even bother to look at her. And then she signed the papers infront of her - her tears soaking the sheets and whispered.

"I'm not doing this 'cause it's my sister's last wish but because I know nothing will happen to my sister and now she has a reason to win this fight 'cause i know that at the end of the day she will get me out of this arrangement by staying alive."

That was the first time Khushi was wrong,the first time Lavanya had ever lost a fight and the first time Arnav had felt loss and heart break because on that fateful night Lavanya Kapoor had peacefully passed away in the arms of the two people she love the most whispering the words.

"I just want you'll to do one thing.Never seperate but be with each other till the end.And to each other apart from everything else just be someone to love.Just like I was to you-Someone to love."

Simple words that changed three lives-One thich was lost forever.

Phew! That was long! How was it. Constructive criticism please (:

**Why did I used "living the rest of your life" instead of "spend the rest of the life" because when you spend the rest of you life with someone you share it and while you live you just live.
