(KUSHI'S POV)

Oh god today is my first interview. I hope I get this job. I 'am badly in need of a job. Bauji 's health is deteriorating and we need money for the treatment. We can't manage all medical expenses with the sweet shop and buaji 's Saree business. Jiji is helping amma at home and I should only work to fund Bauji 's treatment. I have already troubled them too much. Because of me they had to change the city since I was no longer willing to stay there. But they dint even question me once and changed the city for my sake. All because of that one person. No I will not think about it. Now I have completed my fashion technology degree even though not in the college I wanted. Again because of that person. I had to destroy my ambition and change the city and college. But again we had to come to the same place where all my dreams were destroyed. I heard Jiji shout at me saying it's getting late and I quickly snap out of my thought process and shout back saying am almost ready. I send a quick prayer to devi mayya and get the blessings of amma, Bauji and buaji. Amma asks me to have something but I 'am getting late so I just reply that I 'am not hungry and leave the house.
I catch an auto and reach the office.
I see 'AR FASHION HOUSE' written in bold letters. I send a quick prayer to devi mayya and enter the building.
As I was walking I watched everyone curiously eyeing me as if I am coming from another planet. I for a minute couldn't understand why but then I looked at my dress and understood that it was maybe because of the dress I was wearing. It was nothing weird. I was wearing a cream colored kurti with black leggings. But apparently I was the only one wearing that kind of dress. I turned around to see short skirts, jeans and mini dresses which barely covered their knees. It looked more like a mall than an office. Then again it's a fashion house so ppl are allowed to dress like that and moreover its their wish. I am comfortable with what I 'm wearing and I give a damn to what they think. They could think whatever they want. It doesn't matter to me as long as I get the job.
I went to the reception and started talking.
Excuse me my name is Kushi Gupta,I have an appointment for the post of head designer at 10.00 AM today.
The receptionist checked her system and asked me to wait for some time.
I was waiting in the lounge for them to call me.
I started seeing the interiors and was very much impressed with it.
It was stylish as well as classy.
After a while I was directed to a cabin.
I knocked the cabin and heard a 'come in'. I went in and the guy introduced himself as Aman and said he would be taking the interview in the absence on ASR my supposed boss.
I have heard many things about him that he is rude, arrogant etc. He has made the company as no 1 fashion house in India in just 2 yrs so he must be something. But he has kept away from the media and there has been no photo of him.
Aman started asking some questions and I answer them with confidence.
Now he asked me the most dreaded question. Why did I change from the most prestigious college?
I again recall my past but I can't tell him the reason.
I had personal reasons sir.
He just nodded seeming to understand.
He then said I was appointed and could join from tomorrow.
I was genuinely happy after years as this job was necessary for me. I sent a quick thank you to devi mayya.
Thank you sir I promise not to disappoint you I said with a big smile.
He just smiled and asked me to call me just Aman and said it's tough to please the boss.
I just nodded and signed the required papers and left his cabin thinking about the faceless boss.
I was so happy that after reaching the house I hugged amma, Bauji, Jiji and buaji.
I told them that I got the job and they were really happy for me.
I was very tired so I just had my dinner and hit the bed as tomorrow was my first day and I dint want anything to go wrong.
I was scared that I shouldn't do any mistake as I heard my boss was a perfectionist.
I drifted off to sleep with these thoughts in my mind waiting for a new day.
