Ok guys I finished my last SS a day or so ago and I promised I'd be back with something soon so here it is. I originally wanted this to be an OS but decided to split it into two chapters. I'll update the next after seeing the sort of response this one gets. Chapter 1:
Khushi didn't like him one bit yes he was attractive and influence but she saw a ruthless, heartless man in her boss Arnav singh raizada. He seemed have no respect for women other than the ones that belonged to his family and so working for a man like this is something she resented day in day out but it didn't matter to her. She'd finish her day at work and then that was it was back to the norms of her own life. Her babuji, aama and buaji until circumstances changed. She was employed to assist ASR's family in day to day life within Raizada mansion as well as work at his office. It didn't matter to khushi until she felt her relationship and closeness to his sister anjali and grandmother becoming some thing very close to her heart. And then ..well then..something that changed her life for ever took place.. Anjalis proposal of khushi to marry her brother and kushi's boss Arnav Singh Raizada.
Although she hated the man she had no choice for this was what would be the lifeline for her ill farther. Khushi accepted but on her own terms of being a wife but never committing to truly loving him. Things soon changed when she grew feelings for her husband yes he was ruthless, vindictive, a womanizer but she felt something for him. Khushi now was in caught in her own web where one side her morals and pledge to him told her she could never fall in love with a man like Arnav and on the other side was that feeling of wanting to be his In every way which grew day by day practically when seeing him with other women after all he was her was husband.
After a slap across the face, khushi threw Lavanyas own drink over her.
She had finally vented her anger!! All these months of having suppressed herself into a submissive dutiful wife not saying a word but Khushi had finally cracked seeing Lavanaya all over her husband. Time and time again she had suppressed that feeling of sadness and hurt but she couldn't take it any longer today something finally pushed her over the edge.
Her outburst could be heard by at all corners of the house and by all guests who had attended raizada mansion for the success party of ASRs new venture not to mention the man himself.
Arnav singh raizada, the creases on his forehead folding tighter and a flame of irritation growing in his eyes as he hears the uproar from Khushi. Parting from that conversation with an important business acquaintance Arnav politely excuses himself and walks towards where the drama had become the centre of attention.
Laavanya who was dressed in a ravishing evening dress of black to complement ASRs black contemporary jodhupuri suit had been the centre of attention all along and was now more so as arnav seemed to be giving her the attention over his wife. His eyes heated in anger..his teeth gritted as he makes himself heard only the once. Looking at lavanya with distaste and then towards khushi with the same anger of being humiliated. His eyes trailing from khushi who goes silent and meek with his presence to Laavanya who tries to say her part put he wants to hear nothing. "You out.." his eyes intent on seeing laavanya leave stare into her eyes with an angry intensity not even wanting to hear her attempts to explain.
"Lekin asr.."
"Leave" Doing as is of asked of her Laavanya leaves the venue, with the surrounding eyes now upon khushi and ASR. Knowing very well that she had caused this humiliation khushi knew that his anger would be something inevitable. Going through a mix of fear, emotion and overwhelm Khushi watched fearfully as Arnav approached her, his eyes carrying rage that was clearly visible but his move was rather the contrary. He put his arm around her and pulled her into an embrace like something that a loving husband would do. khushi for a moment was lost feeling his lips hover upon her ear, his hold around her figure and the scent of his aftershave linger around her. But it wasn't an act of affection it was his way of dealing with the situation. Khushi felt his whisper linger upon her ear and knew that this for those witnessing was a husband consoling his wife but for her this was the calm before the storm.
"I don't want a scene khushi..upar mera kamre mein intaazar karo I'll deal with you their." He whispered into her ear before parting from what looked like an affectionate embrace between husband and wife to those watching. Khushi noted those eyes of his that took a sharp glance towards the staircase wordlessly ordering her do as she was told. Taking a moment to look up at that expression of his hoping he would see the sincerity and innocence this reaction of hers but all Khushi sees is the same impatience and anger in his eyes and makes her way towards the staircase silently.
Sometime later as Khushi sits in front of the dresser, taking off her pale pink bangles that compliment her saari she stares into oblivion as pictures of what had happened sometime earlier flash by her eyes. Seeing Lavanya around him time and time again finally sparked a moment of irrationalism in her. Screaming in amidst all the guest khushi had thrown lavayans drink upon her making a spectacle of herself.. what was she thinking? As the bangles she forces of her wrist scar her khushi is bought back to reality of the situation with the slight stinging sensation around her wrist.
Hearing the doors of the room being pulled open, khushi looks up towards the mirror reflection in front of her to see him enter the room.
His eyes watching her intently for a second, Khushi unable to look into those eyes that were so heatedly staring into hers drops her expression from the mirror, her heart beating that little faster hearing his footsteps in the distance. And then silence falls once again she looks back up into the mirror to see him turn his back to her. Bolting the doors of the room shut and turning back to her with the same look of resentment. Khushis expression turning pale as she watches him approach she rises from her seat at the dressing table and turns to him.
With minutes she feels herself being dragged to a corner of the room in a swift movement and pushed against the wall. Khushi opens her eyes to his face at such a proximity with her own that she could feel him breathing upon her. Those eyes of his red in temperament and expression carrying the same rage as the tone of his voice. "What the hell do you think you were doing down their khushi..??!!" getting no response from a shocked and terrified looking girl under his watch he raises his voice further "I'm talking to you!! ANSWER ME DAMMIT!!"
Shaken by the aggression of his voice and his hold on her that was becoming increasingly painful, khushi who was already in regret of the incident, upset and confused at her own action apologies. Her tone of voice shaky, nervous."Maaf kardijey hame.. ham ne yey jaan buj kar nahin kiya ..bas ham aur nahin seh sakte.."
Pulling a face of disbelieve he gives her very little chance to speak. "What?! Don't make it sound like you're the victim here khushi! You've humiliated me in front of everyone ! sorry isn't enough I want an explanation! Adamant to hear whatever it was going on in her mind he watches khushi stammer a little as she gets her words out. All the while unable to look at him,"Woh lava.. lavanyaji'" letting go of her abrublty..his expression wonders around the room in the same fustration. "oh ..I should have known!", resuming that same proximity with her khushi feels a sarcastic, blunt words making way to her heart.
"But our marriage is one of convince is it not khushi? 'You' made it very clear when I married you that this relationship is just a formality and nothing more in your eyes. weren't they your words khushi?" Khushi aware that this was the case, knowing that she herself had pledged so before there wedding, beings to feel her eyes film in tears at his harsh words, how could he be so candid.
"I'm a man like any other Khushi, meri bhi sarurate hai and If lavanya fulfils them then usme kya galat hai?". Just what had said then left khushi torn..closing her eyes intantly..arnav watches her tears trail down her face but he wanted answers. "You were never bothered about the women I was with before so why now?!!!"Loosing her patience to endure anymore khushis voice was a plea for him to listen . "Tab ki baat aur thi!...nahin dekh sakte aapko kisi aur ke saath!!! Despising the tone of voice she just use with him arnavs hold on khushis tightens as he warns her "Don't you dare raise your voice before me khushi" Overlooking his warning khushi's tone only gets more rebellious. "AUR SOR SE CHILLANYENE..KYA KARENGE AAP?." furious at the way khushi was acting arnav pushes back towards the wall forcefully. "PYAAR KARTE HAI HAM AAPSE, SUNA AAPNA!!"
Their eyes locking for a second as khushi confesses her love for him, the moment is interrupted with a vigiourious knocking at the door of room. Aman frantically asking for ASR to make his way downstairs to address his guests who had started speculating over what was going on. "ENOUGH!!" Backing away from her in due course almost throwing her against the wall..arnav frustrated with the whole incident turns his back to khushi and begins to walk towards the door..but kushis words force him to pause in his steps.
"Galat the ham, joe yey sochte the ke ham aapse kabhi pyaar nahin kar payenge" (I was wrong to think I could never fall in love with you )
Aman's knocking at the door repeating its self, his priority was to deal with what had probably become a controversy in his absence but his mind no doubt lingered with Khushi, mainly resentment at the way she had showed him up in front of everyone. "You can demonstrate just how much you love your husband later...lekin use pehle mere saamne aane ki galti bhi mat kar na." Khushi watching him leave the room with his back to her in a stride feels that one tear stray down her face.
