CHAPTER 22:

Arjun and team reached the spot where Shaleen had mentioned. But he was not there. The whole team came up there.

Sam: kaha hai wo? He said he will be here right?

Arj: ha, par wo hai kaha?

They try to call him. The phone rings from the nearby ground. they take the phone. Sree eyes fall on something. "Sir…blood"

All reach that spot. There were drops of blood and some signs of being dragged away. They were tensed for Shaleen.

Arjun finds an empty syringe at the side. He checks it. "Riya, patha lagao, what was in this before. Jaldi"

Riya and Chotu goes away immediately to their van were they had their equipments.

Sam: kahi unhe kuch hua tho nahi?

Arj: patha nahi Sam. Bhai kaha ho aap??

His head felt heavy. There was a terrible pain all over him. It was killing him inside. He felt himself as if on fire. What's happening?

His head was heavy. He remembered he was hit on his head. He touched the back of hs head. It was wet. He looked his hands. It was red. He tried to get up and sit. He felt a pain in his stomach region. It was hurting him a lot.

There was a pain shot at his arms too. He touched and felt as if someone had injected him something.

Some men where coming in. it took a time to recognize him. Shekhar!!!

She: kaise ho Shaleen??

He couldn't cope up with the light anymore. He closed his eyes.

Shekhar took a glass of water and splashed it on to his face. "ab ithne zaldi apne hosh math khona. Hame tho aur bhi baath karne hai…"

Shal: kya chahthe ho tum? Aur ye mujhe kya horaha hai?

He clutches his stomach. Shekhar laughs aloud.

Shek: you are drugged Shaleen. Ek aise zahar se jo tumhe pal pal ithne dard denge, magar mar ne me time zaroor denge. You feel pain Shaleen. Just like I felt for my brother. you will feel the same pain.

Shal: tumhe kya lagtha hai, ke mujhe Sid ko marke sukoon mila hai?? agar wo there bhai tha, tho mere bhi bhai se kuch kam nahi tha. Still I had to do it. agar tum apne bhai ko sambhal pathe, then he would have been here. With us.

Shek: bas… ab ek shabd aur nahi. You killed him Shaleen…. You are a murderer.!!!

Shaleen was alredy in physical pain and now mentally too. The poison was taking its effect soon. The pain was unbearable.

Shal: dekhao Shakhar, jo tum kar rahe ho, wo galath hai. agar tumhe mujhse kuch chahiye tho karo, lekin un logonko chodo jo iss mele ma hai. unke kya galthi hai?

Shekher was fuming now. "patha hai mujhe, tumhe mar kar mere bhai wapas nahi ane wale. Par ye jo dard hai na, jab apne aapko zamzor pathe hai, ye dard tumhe mehzoos karna hoga. Kyunki I have gone through it. I couldn't help my brother out. Now you wont help others out too."

In a rage he pulls Shaleen's hair and slaps him hard. That knocks him off the chair to the ground. shekhar lets out all his frustration on Shaleen. He was bleeding now.

The poison's effect was further more. Now he was bleeding from nose. But that didn't stop Shekhar from his deeds. He kept on doing it till he was in a verge of collapsing.

She: (pulling his face up to him) ye math sochna ke mien tumhe mar dalunga.you will have a very slow death. Iss zehar ke asar pure hone thak tumhe zinda rehna hoga Shaleen. And you wil hear the blast from here. And wont be able to do anything. Tumhe ek aur baath bathatha hu. Jana chahthe ho ke mien kya karne wala hu? Tho suno!! Yaha ek bomb rakha hai!! jo jab blast hoga, tho bohot sare asoon zidgai barbad hoga. Khas thor pe bache… stay here and wait!!!

Shal: no..

Shek: aur aaj yaha tumhare dost log bhi hai. dekhthe hai kaun kaun bachthe hai!!!

Shekhar throws him to the ground and walks away. Shaleen was in so much pain now!!! he tries to get up, but in vain. He fells down to the grond curling in pain, clutching his stomach!!!

Riya does some basic test. She is shocked. Before going to Arjun and Sam she calls someone else.she tries to give an urgent message and rush to the seniors.

Ri: Sir… ye ek bohot deadly poison hai. slow killer bhi hai. inject karne ke 4 khante ke andhar anti dose na diya tho ….

Arj: no…. he is safe. he must be safe.

Ri: yes sir, but for the safe side, meine wo antidose ko mangwa diya hai, police control room ke kuch officers se baath karke. They must be here ASAP with it. baath ye hai ke I hope iss antidose waha kahi ho abhi. its a bit rare dose.

Sam: tell anyone immediately. We should get it. already we are losing almost 1 hour.

Arj: aur beech me wo bomb bhi dhundne hai. its meant for tomorrow evening. But something tells me to be extra carefull.

Sam: yaha se bhai ko kaha legaye hoge?

Arj: Sam, tum, Riya aur Chotu go the otherway. Har jagah check karo jaha bomb rakh sakthe hai. Riya agar wo antidose mila tho foron inform karna. Sree come with me.

Arjun and Sree walks ahead following were they might have taken him. It was almost a dead end. But then they notice a man watching out for him. Arjun casually indicates it to him. They move as if they never saw that man. But the man gets alerted. He runs away.

Arjun and Sree follow him. In mean while some other men attacks them. they handle those men well. At last they again spot that man. Arjun and Sree chase him out again. At last they catch him.

Arj: bol, kaha hai wo? Kaha rakha hai tumne??

The man laughs. "ab milke bhi kya fayda? Wo nahi bachne wale!! Kafi dard me hai apke dost!!

Arjun hits him hard. "Bolo warna bolne layak nahi hoga!!"

At last the man can no longer hold on. He is weak from all the beatings. "wo… wo…"

Someone shoots at him. Sree tries to follow that person but miss him.

Arj: bolo, kaha hai wo? You cant die so fast. Bolo….

Man: wo… mills me…

He dies.

Arj: mills?? Sree patha lagao, yaha aas paas koi mill hai kya?

Sree checks. "ha sir, ek wooden mill hai. yaha se kuch dur main."

Arjun calls Sam and informs to come to the location soon, whie Sree and Arjun starts.

They reach the mill. It was guarded. Arjun and Sree break in smoothly, removing each one on the way. But by then they get alerted. The firing begins. But soon they are accompanied by Sam and back up team.

They get the matter in control. Arjun and Sree start to search for Shaleen. They find a closed room. He kicks it open. The scene was terrifying.

Shaleen was on the ground, curled up in pain. He was sweaty. There was blood oozing from his nose. And his face showed torture.

They rush to him. Arjun place him in his lap. "Bhai… kya hua?? Please open your eyes"

He was feling difficult to breath. He opens his eyes. It showed terrible pain. He was shivering. "Arjun…" he whispers.

By that time the team also reach the spot.

Arj: don't worry bhai, antidose is on its way. Please hold on.

Shal: chup Arjun… listen… Shekhar yahi kahi… bomb rakhi hai… bache… uske target hai… stop him… please… stop him..

He was wincing with each words.

Arjun and Sam kept on holding his hands.

Sam: Riya wo injection ke kya hua??

Ri: some more time sir. Its coming.

Sam: Arjun inhe doctor ke paas lejna hoga.. but hospital tho bohot dur hai.

Shal: forget me. Sabko bachao…

Arj: nahi bhai, we cant do that. inhe hotel room me lejathe hai. hope by that time wo injection bhi aye.

Shal: Arjun you are not getting me…. Mere jaan nahi, sabke jaan bachao.

All look at each other.

Sam: Riya can you handle him? (she nods) ok chotu, tum dono ko hotel pohochayenge. Call them to get the medicine ASAP. Koi bhi problem ho tho bulana.

They nods. Arjun and Sam support him to the SUV. Riya and Chotu leaves with them.

They go in search of the bomb which is targeting the kids. There was a children's park type place along with the mela. They start to search everywhere.

Hotel:

Chotu leaves them and rush back half heartedly. Shaleen looked terrible. He was in lots of pain and shivering.

Riya takes cotton to wipe his wounds and blood from his nose. He was closing his eyes to cope up with the pain. She didn't know what to do.

She brings extra blankets and covers him up and rubs his cold hands.

He opens his eyes and look at her. She looked so worried.

Ri: kuch chahiye apko? I called them again. Bas kuch aur time.

Shal: jhoot math bolo. You didn't get their call right?

She was shocked. Indeed she didn't get the line now.

Ri: apko kaise?

Shal: heard you speaking…. Don't worry... it will be fine…

He winces again. She places her hands on his forehead. "sh.. its ok.. aapko kuch nahi hoga…"

She carasses his hair. He looks at her with pain again. Her eyes were full.

Shal: dard tho mujhe horahe hai… why are you crying…

Ri: kyunki…

She stops… he raises his eyebrows. "kyunki kya Riya?"

She is silent. He tries to turn thereby hurting more. She sits by him and carasses his chest. He catches her hands. "kyunki kya Riya?"

Ri: kyunki… I think I like you…

He was silent now and gives a small smile.

Shal: I hope its not late then…

They smile together, but then he starts to cough. He was feeling hard to breath. She held him tight and turned him to his side. She was caressing his back, while he was coughing.

She took her mobile again and tried. At last someone took it. "WTH!! Kaha ho tum log!! Come quick!!"

Arjun and team search every possible place. They reach to the merry go round type place in the park. Kids were having fun over there. And then Arjun saw it. behind the generator was something hidden. He calls up his team in the mic.

All gather around the postion. It looked as if an abandoned tricycle, blue in color with a broken a wheel. It was a perfect item as no one would try to ride on it. but its seat looked in a bit absurd position. Arjun moves it up a bit and finds a ticking bomb. There were less than 10 minutes left in it. all looks at each other deciding what to do next.

The van that brings the antidose is stuck in a traffic that is blocked by the rally of people with plots of godess, and men dancing around it.
