Part 3

FRIDAY

Swayam, Vicky, Nil, Amar and Bharat all meet at the front gate of the college before entering.

Nil: Ok guys, yesterday's plan didn't work, but we have some more plans for today.

Sw: I'm telling you guys this is not going to work

Bh: Yaar tu hamesha aisa kyun bolta hai?

Sw: because I'm telling you Rey is not going to like all this

V: Iss liye toh we have to make sure we stay away from rey today too, toh sab andar chalo chupke chupke

Guys: Yah CHUPKE CHUPKE CHUPKE CHUPKE!!

So all 5 guys sneak into college slowly keeping a look out for rey, they hide behind pillars and make way to the locker room, they think they are home free since they didn't see rey anywhere, till they enter the locker room and see Rey standing in the middle, hands on his hips, staring at them. All the guys are about to turn back around and run out of the locker room, when rey says,

R: ATTENTION!!!

All the guys run in front of Rey, stamp their foot and salute.

Guys: YES SIR!!

R: So guys, kal woh sab kya tha?

Sw (turns his head to Vicky): Kya tha?

V (turns his head to Nil): Kya tha?

Nil (turns his head to Bharat): Kya tha?

Bh: (turns his head to Amar): Kya tha?

A: (turns his head back to Rey): Kya tha?

R (slaps his forehead with his palm): GUYSSS!!!

V: Ok look Rey, hum sab ke paas apni apni girlfriends hain...

All the guys look at Vicky with their eyebrows up.

V (sheepishly): I mean hum sab ke paas apni apni girls hain, and you don't have anyone, so we thought we would find someone for you.

R: Guys, what nonsense, mujhe koi ladki mein interest nahin hain?

Vicky, Nil, Amar and Bharat all take a step back saying: KYA??

[Maa da ladla bigad gaya playing in BG]

Sw: Guys, guys, what rey means to say he is not interested in dating any girl, RIGHT NOWW, right Rey?

R: Yah

V+ Nil+ Bh+ A: Ohh, like that, Kool

R: Yes, like that, so can you guys please drop it now

Nil: Sure dude, you got it

R: I mean it, agar aaj koi bhi ladki ne aake mujhe kuch aisa waissa pucha, toh you are guys are dead, understand

V (scared): Dont worry rey, koi ladki nahin aayegi, I promise.

With that Rey leaves the locker room.

Nil: So guys, Mission Rey's GF was a flop

Sw: I told you this was a BAD IDEA!

V: Haan, haan, Swayam baba ki

Economics Class

All the guys were in class, Rey, Swayam, Sharon, Taani, Neha, Vicky were sitting in the first row, in that order. And Vishaka, Bharat, Simi, Rini, Amar, Nil were sitting behind them in the second row in that order. The teacher was talking about marginal utility. Swayam and Sharon were taking notes, but were also giving loving glances to one another, so were Vicky and Neha, but they kept getting disturbed by Amar and Nil behind them. Rini and Simi were going over a magazine under their textbooks; Vishaka was explaining something to Bharat.

Taani was listening to the professor, and quickly jotting down all the points he was saying, trying to keep up with his speed, while Rey kept looking at Taani, trying to get her attention, so he could apologise to her. He hadn't spoken to her since the day before, since she was avoiding him and wouldn't pick up his phone calls, or answer any of his messages. He tried once again by sending her a quick message saying "SORRY =)" Taani's phone vibrated, and she saw the screen light up saying

She quickly looked over at Rey who gave her a smile and a little wave, so no one would notice; she gave him an angry look, and turned her phone over, so it was facing down on the table, and she went back to listening to the teacher.

The lecture was finishing off, and the teacher quickly said at the end to finish.

Prof: Before all of you go, I hope all of you remember you have your modular exam on Monday; it will count for 20% of your final year mark, so make sure you are prepared.

Canteen

The gang was sitting up in their section all discussing the exam coming up.

Sh: Guys iss dance ban ke chakkar mein, I totally forgot about this exam.

Guys: Yah, same here

Simi: Oh my god main toh kaafi topics mein weak hoon.

V: Arre main toh saare topics mean weak hoon

N: Worry not babu, main hoon na, Help me doing tumhari

Ri: She means woh tumhari help karegi

Nil: Vicky mujhe toh lagta hain, we will have to do our old chit system.

R: Guys, please after this whole dance ban fiasco, we can't afford any more trouble.

Sw: Rey theek keh raha hai guys, if we by chance get caught doing anything against the rules, we will straight be dismissed now.

A: Baat, toh theek keh raha hai.

Bh: But ab kare kya?

Vish: Kare kya, kya, we have to study and revise, aur kya.

Sh: Mujhe toh aaj ka topic bilkul bhi samaj mein nahin aaya, marginal utility, what nonsense.

T: Sharon Bha, (quickly corrects herself when she receives stares from everyone) I mean Sharon, woh toh bahot easy hain, main aapko samjahti hoon. (She defines marginal utility, and everyone gives her a blank stare) OK, doosri tarah samjhati hoon, (taani gets up, and starts walking around the group with everyone listening) imagine after one of your dance rehearsals, you are very thirsty right?

Guys: Right!

T: So you buy a bottle of water to drink, when you drink that it gives a satisfaction of 100% since you are very thirsty, so your utility is 1. When you finish that bottle, you buy another one, and you drink that, but this time your satisfaction is only 80% since you have already had a bottle of water, and you are no longer as thirsty as you were, so your utility is 0.8. So every time you buy an extra bottle, your extra utility or satisfaction is marginal utility.

Sharon looks at her: That's it.

T: Yah, I told you it was easy.

Sh (hugs Taani): Oh my god, Taani, thank you.

Taani laughs: You're welcome.

R (suddenly a light bulb goes off in Rey's head): Guys, that gives me an idea, we are all good at certain topics right?

Guys: Yeah

R: So let's have a study group, someone take out the list of modules.

Vishaka takes out the list of modules from her bag and puts it on the table.

R: Ok, so there are 10 topics and 12 of us, so who is the best at what?

They all start talking and distribute the topics amongst themselves.

R: Great, so aaj sab revise karte hain, aur kal sab milte hain, and we can teach each other.

Bh: Haan, par kahaan?

T: Humare ghar pe, kyun bhai?

Sw: Yah let's do it at our house.

Everyone: Kool!!
