Hey buddies, earlier I wanted to discontinue this FF, as the story was not as per my expectations. But after certain requests about continuing it, I modified the story and this update will be the base of it. At the end of the update, you might feel that it's not good to show, what I did, it might be sad. But I assure you that story will definitely have a happy ending. So please don't make assumptions regarding it. This phase in Ariya's life will lead to a new beginning free from any fears. Do read and comment!!!!!!

" Mr. Rathore, there's nothing serious to be worried about. But you all have to take extra care of him. Mr. Raute was fortunate that the bullet didn't hit his brain, it just passed closely to the skull, leaving a slight crack. You have to make sure that he doesn't take stress or else his condition would be worsened. It may effect his mental stability. He might loose his memory a bit, partial amnesia, is what I mean or he will become mentally unstable. I advice that, Mr. Raute should take a leave from office, at least for 15-20 days! " the doctor answered, making Sameer frown in worry.

" But Doctor...is there something more to this? Anything serious." Sameer asked.

" No...jab tak, Mr. Raute is free from any stress, tab tak he's fine and waise bhi, Mr. Raute is a strong man, you just make sure that he takes proper rest. Nothing more. " the doctor answered, which eased the lines of tension from Sameer's forehead.

" Don't worry doctor, its the time for Arjun, to rest! " Sameer smirked, fully knowing that how will Arjun react to his( Sameer's ) plan, of sending him ( Arjun ), on a long holiday of a month. He can imagine, the narrowed eyes, full of anger and a the sound of the gritting of teeth. Arjun is so predictible, sometimes.

" Who the hell are you to suspend me, and that too for a month, a month..30 days.." Arjun yelled at Sameer, while eating the apple slices, that Riya was offering him to eat. And even in such a angry state, Arjun can't refuse those apple slices, after all it was Riya offering him so, who can deny a beautiful wife like Riya, who also happens to be an ETF officer.

" First of all, I know, that there are how many days, hours, minute, seconds and even nano-seconds in a month, so there's no need to tell me that. And being the Head-in-Chief of ETF, i have the full authority to suspend you. " Sameer smirked at Arjun's situation.

" Oh..so here we are talking to the Head-in-Chief, are we? " Arjun narrowed his wyes in anger and gritted his teeth, still eating the apple slices.

" Yes of-course, and before you ask the reason for your suspension, I tell you that you are still medically unfit for the job, you are advised to take a complete rest of 20 days. " the Commissioner Uncle ( Riya's Mama Ji) spoke while entring Arjun's ward.

" But Doctor has advised a 20 day rest, than why are guys offering me a 30 days holiday? May I ask you, what's with sudden generosity? " Arjun asked sarcastically.

" Ohhh..Arjun, don't be such a spoil-sport, it's high time, you both need a honeymoon. And as Riya, is on leave too, so you both should enjoy. " the Commissioner Uncle grinned, Sameer smiled widely, Riya blused and Arjun cheecks showed a pinch of red color.

" Am I imagining things or is it real, that Arjun is blushing? " Sameer asked, smilling a toothy grin.

" Sam.."

" Arjun.."

" Rathore "

" Raute "

" RB "

" Juno.."

" Uurrggghhh.."

" Yayy.."

" Stop behaving like kids, just stop, both of you. " Riya yelled and thrusted another slice of apple in Arjun's mouth. Poor apple slice!

" Riya...bas bhi karo, aurr kitni shopping karogi. Hum dono honeymoon k liye jaa rahe hain, wahan in kapdon ka kya kaam. " Arjun teased.

" Haawww..you shameless fellow. " Riya smacked his chest lightly. " Hey baby, aap ane papa jaise hi hona but please don't inherit, your father's anger and shamelessness or else I will di...uummm.." Riya caressed her still flat belly and could have talked more, if Arjun hadn't shut her with his lips.

Arjun kissed her in public, some of the people grinned, some passed shy glances, some were irritated and some of them had their eyes closed, which included a 5 year old child, the shopkeeper and off-course Riya & Arjun.

" Don't..don't..don't talk about dying...or..or.." Arjun couldn't speak further, the past memories still haunted him, he can't afford loosing Riya...to the helll with his affording ability, he can't even think of it. Because of all these emotions Arjun hugged Riya tightly, burrying his face in her hair.

Arjun inhaled the fruity smell of Riya kissed her neck slightly and shed a few tears. Riya was shocked at Arjun's sudden but vulnerable reaction, but she knows that Arjun is in die-hard need of some consolation, so keeping her shock aside, Riya hugged him back, caressing his back and sometimes the hair at the back of his head.

" Ssshh..I am here baby, I will not say such things in future, OK. Now relax baby. Just relax. " Riya kissed his forehead, held his left arm and moved out of the mall.

They were now shopping some more things from the roadside stalls, they looked happy, indeed, they were happy. Riya had what she wanted. Once she had read, that, Love doesn't needs a special place, a special day, a special weather. It only needs that special person who makes every moment, every second, every minute of your life special. She didn't realized, when and how, her best friend 'Juno' became the love of her life, 'Arjun'. She didn't realized, that her love for Arjun was this strong, that she can even die for him. As of now, she has her best friend, her love, her Juno, her Arjun and as a cherry on the top, she is pregnant with his baby, with their baby.

On the other hand, Arjun too was feeling like he will explode with this much happiness, but he didn't know why, he is still afraid, as if he's gonna loose Riya again. His fear, his insecurities, never even let him feel peace. The past happenings, still haunted him. Wonder, if these fears gonna end, or something bad was going to happen!

Both of them were enjoying their shopping and the new found joy of being parents, unaware of a pair of eyes watching them, like a hawk.

" Arjun, see how's it? " Riya showed him, cute little pink colored, baby dress.

Arjun gave her 'are-you-serious' look, and was rewarded by an angry glare.

" What???? Riya, there is plenty of time to buy such things, you are only a month pregnant, there are still 8 months for the delivery. What's the need of buying such things now? "" Arjun said while Riya frowned.

" But.." Arjun interrupted Riya.

" No buts Riya, and we are not sure, whether its a boy or a girl, just think if it's a boy, are you gonna make him wear that pink dress? " Arjun said logically and it was right, but who's gonna make the pregnant lady understand. ' Pregnancy hormones are surely doing their work efficiently and effectively. Oh God...how am I going to handle her in the succeeding months of pregnancy as he knows that her mood swings are gonna be more serious.' thought Arjun as he watched an angry Riya who stood away 5 feet away from him, at another shop, so at-last he decided to buy that little dress.

Riya was angry..na..she was more than angry. She really wanted that dress for her baby. That was a really cute pink dress. But, the logical part of her mind, made her realize that Arjun had a right point. What if, they gonna had a baby boy. Aaarrrggghhh...this is making her crazy. Riya was lost in her thoughts, so lost that she didn't realized that her purse is being snatched and when she realized, she called for Arjun.

Arjun ran after the thief and Riya was running behind him, to stop him, yelling that there's no need to run behind that thief as there was nothing much valuable, but Arjun being Arjun, remained unaffected. He had to catch the thief, theft is a criminal offence and it should be punished.

Arjun chased the thief to a cliff and Riya followed. Arjun was determined to catch the thief. Suddenly the thief brought a knife out of his placed it on Riya's neck. This act of that thief made Arjun furious yet scared. Arjun felt as if his fears are going to become the horrible truth of his life. Arjun asked the theif to release Riya, but still wanted the thief to surrender.

Riya's constant struggle, Arjun's constant yelling and the thief's constant threats were making the situation complicated. Arjun asked Riya to stay still, as the knife might pierce her skin but she never stopped struggling. The thief held Riya by his left arm, and had his right arm around her neck, holding the knife close to her neck.

It all happened in a second, Arjun had just made a move towards the thief, and the thief moved backwards, he didn't realized that they were on the edge. Suddenly Riya bit that thief's hand, which made him jerk and the knife made a huge and deep scar on her neck. The thief had jerked his hand too much violently that made Riya loose her balance and fall down the cliff. Arjun stood there numb and the thief found the perfect moment to run.

Arjun crawled towards the edge of the cliff and desperately searched for Riya. He cried and cried in anguish. He led out an animalistic growl.." RIYAAA" . He had lost her, once again because of his foolishness, why didn't he listened to Riya, when she was asking him, not to chase the thief down. Once again, Arjun yelled her name and started wailing.

It was 7 in the evening, Sameer and the others were tensed as Arjun and Riya didn't reached home, where the hell were they, everybody thought. At first they were thinking that they might be spending some private time, having their personal moments but its been 8 hours, no calls, no texts. Finally Sameer decided to trace their

Cell phones and Shree started working according to Sameer. Arjun's cell phone was switched off but Riya's was not. Soon Shree traced it down, but was shocked for a moment and then frowned.

" Sameer bhai, what would be Ri doing in a cheap bar???? " asked Shree.

" What???? Guys I think that they are in some serious situation we need to get them. " Sameer declared and the guys leaving the worried ladies at home, moved out according to Shree's directions.

The signal was pointing at the third table in the second row. Chottu decided to proceed over to that table. He asked the man, who was sitting alone, if he can use his phone. This caused a ill logical fight between them. That man was arrested and interrogated. After a few slaps and kicks, the man confessed.

" Saheb...I just wanted the money, I didn't intend to kill that lady. "

" Which lady are you talking about? " fear took over Sameer.

" The one, whose phone was with me, the one who was with that man who chased me."

This only met one thing, that it was Riya who died, but this fact was highly unacceptable. Shree, Chottu and Sameer had tears in their eyes but they need to make sure and at this moment, they knew Arjun was the most vulnerable one. Soon they reached the cliff, as the thief directed them too. There they saw, Arjun, it looked like a nightmare. Arjun was crawled on the ground, coiled up like a foetus. He seemed as if life was sucked out of him. And he was unconscious.

The three men too broke down, seeing Arjun in such a state and moreover they lost a valuable part of their lives...RIYA! Arjun was the one, who needed support and attention, so the three of them put aside their pain and sorrow and carried Arjun to the car and made their was towards the hospital. Family was informed, air of pain, sorrow and dullness surrounded their lives.

Ek lau hai, sau parchhai hai

Sameer, shree and Chottu rushed Arjun inside the hospital. Arjun's doctor took him inside the ward for the check-up.

Aankhon ne yaadein barsaai hai
Duhai hai, duhaai hai

Sameera, Shreya, Muskaan along the complete family members reached the hospital crying and weeping.

Chahat ki zara koi pooche hai
Duhai hai, duhaai hai
Keemat kya dil ne chukaai hai

They all looked at Arjun, whose body was attached with some wires and he had an oxygen mask.

The doctor informed that Arjun had fainted due to excess of stress and pain. They feared that he might end up loosing his memory.

Arjun was still unconscious, Sameer couldn't stay there, he still was not accepting that Riya was no more, he called for a search party, in order to search for Riya.
