"Destiny. Luck. Future. No one has a hold on them. You can never be sure of what they have in store for you. Viren was my world. My love, my friend, my husband, my family. my happiness. He was my universe. Our life was perfect. As in picture perfect.
" We got married three years ago. He was forty. I was twenty. Our wedding was a very simple affair, he didn't like people, lights, noise around. For him his world was his mom and me. It was just the three of us that night in the temple, when we entered in the scared bond of marriage.
"Without further talks we sat in the car and headed back to our house. The silence within me calming my mind. The sky was dark. Heavy rain poured on the wind-screen reducing visiblity. The thunder, the roar increasing with each passing second. The horizon would light up with streaks of lightening. Gusts of winds blew against our car.
"Viren was not liking that. He hated stormy nights. He liked the more calm and tranquil nights. When there was hardly any sound.
"The traffic was completely blocked. There were people. There were cars. There was sound. There was life! Viren did not like this. He loved the dull, dark desserted street where there was hardly any sign of life.
"He was different, very different. No one can ever be like Viren. Unlike all others. He had an enigmatic charm. A mysterious personality. A strange charisma.
"I loved him! We were so content, happy and satisfied of life before that one night when thinks changed completely. Life changed. I changed!
"Viren was no more. He left me all alone in this world. Forever. He never came back. Why? May be he never wanted to come back. He hated life! He hated the people! He hated this world. But he didn't hate me then why did he leave me? Why did he leave his mom?
"I have so many questions but no one answers then. Viren must know the answers but he doesn't come back to give me the answers ? Where will I find my answers? Tell me!"
"Jeevika control yourself. I am sorry I shouldn't have asked about your husband."
"Why are you sorry? But tell me do you have the answers. I have gone crazy looking for the answers, but no one has them. Mom says I should go to New York. She said Viren is waiting for me over there. That means I will get my answers over there? But how can he be there, when everyone says he is already dead?"
"Jeevika I think you should take some rest, better go to sleep. The flight will land in about three hours. I will wake you up a couple of minutes before landing."
"But my answers?"
"You will get them soon."
Jeevika nodded slightly and closing her eyes instantly dozed off to sleep.
