I..completely understand how Aarti must feel...when one goes through tragedy you think to yourself how can I bring happiness to another? How can I get married, love, when I am barely holding myself together?

I love the way you wrote about loss in this story. Yes it has romance and passion, but Khushi's pain and suffering and Aarti's situation has been dealt with in a wonderfully sensitive way. Khushi and Aarti are not maudlin and not self-pitying; both women have suffered tragedy and hardship...and both are such beautifully strong characters, with a selflessness that is beyond admirable. I wish all such women in real life find a partner that cherishes and nurtures this kind of strength, but alas this is not always the case..

Excellent writing! I hope Arnav and Khushi can relate some of their past to show that not only Aarti has been touched with a painful past...

Aarti's father made his family go to hell. And indeed they now have a right to live their lives on their terms. But aarti needs to realise that what her mother needs is the love and presence of others in her life. Because aarti may not know what a family and relatives means, but her mother does and this is what she misses the most. The Raizada clan can provide just this. They are not going to give up on aarti this easily
