**In Nani's room**
Nani: Now tell me, Aakash bitwa.. What is the matter?
Aakash: Dadi a.. actually Paayal & Khushiji had an.. argument. They involved me &.. bhai in that..
Anjali: What was the argument about?
Aakash: a.. just like that.. They were talkin to each other bout something &.. they diasgreed on some issue &.. that's how the argument started.
Anjali: I'm not getting anything,Aakash. If Chhoti & Paayal had an argument,y did u & Chhotey stop talking to each other?
Aakash: Actually.. we.. I mean to say..I,Paayal & Khushiji had some.. misunderstandings.. I felt something.. Khushiji felt something else.. Bhai.. did clear those misunderstandings to some extent.. & he'll b clearing the rest of them tomorrow evening..
Anjali: But..Nani keeps her hand firmly on Anjali's shoulder,indicating that she should not probe further.
Nani: I think waiting till tomorrow evening will b better. Once Chhotey says everything clearly,ur misunderstandings will b cleared & Anjali bitiya will get the answers to her questions..
Aakash: U're right,dadi.
Nani: U carry on,bitwa. U must b gettin late for office
Aakash(looks at Anjali): I'm sorry! I guess I.. confused u instead of clearing ur doubts.. Di.. there's nothing to worry! Bhai.. will handle everything.
Anjali nods.

Aakash finds Paayal outside the door.
They stare at each other wordlessly for a few moments before Paayal looks away.

Paayal(interrupts): I'll handle it.
Aakash nods & is about to leave when..

Aakash(turns around): Ya?
Paayal: I'm sorry! Plz forgive me..
Aakash: Did u really think that I'll sign divorce papers if bhai tells me to?
Paayal: Yes,for some time.. When.. Khushi told me that she saw u signing those papers I.. believed her.Now u tell me,what else could I have thought?..

Manorama(gets up): Ekooj me... I need to touchupiya my makeupiya.
Nani(shakes her head): Go Khushi bitiya. Ask HP to make samose for her.
Mamaji: And ask him to make hot-hot halwa for me!
Khushi: Sure mamaji! Today I'll make everything which the family loves, for dinner!
Mamaji: Wow,thats great!May u live a long life!
Khushi(thinks): I dont know what'll happen tonight? After tonight,who knows,when the whole family will get to eat together?
She closes her eyes & prays.
Khushi(thinks): Hey Devi Maiyya! Plz see to it that everything goes fine tonight. If u listen to my prayers,I'll donate these chocolates to poor children. Apart from these,I'll donate clothes & toys as well. Plz make sure nothing unpleasent happens tonight !

The moment Khushi was dreading arrived sooner than she'd expected.
Once the Guptas' arrived in the evening,Arnav asked both the families to assemble in the living room.
Judging by the atmosphere & eerie silence,the Guptas' knew that something was not right. The braced themselves for some unpleasent news.
Anjali had informed mamaji & mamiji what she knew so even they were prepared for the revelation.
The only person ,who thought she knew everything, but still wasnt prepared was Khushi.
Her knuckles went cold & she felt her heart thumping loudly in her chest when Arnav said that he'd like to talk to the families before dinner.
Khushi(whispers): Y do u want to say everything before dinner?Atleast let everyone eat in peace.
Arnav(whispers): Just look at their faces. Do u really think they'll b able to enjoy the dinner?
Khushi(whispers): But..
Arnav(interrupts): We shouldnt postpone this any longer,Khushi. The sooner this gets over,the better it will b for us!
Buaji: What r u both whispering about,Nandkisore? Is there a problem?
Arnav: No buaji. Actually..
Khushi(interrupts): 1 minute Arnavji.. (turns towards the families) Before he begins,I'd like to.. say something to u all..
Mamiji: Bhat haippened Phatti saadi?

Arnav: So I thought I should tell Khushi about my feelings. When I saw Khushi going towards the terrace,I decided to follow her. I thought the terrace would b the perfect place to talk about this,since we would get some much needed privacy over there. But when I reached the terrace.. I saw.. Shyam & Khushi.. hugging each other..
Everyone but Khushi r shocked.
Buaji: What is all this,Sanka devi? What were u doin with that man on the terrace? That too alone..?
Arnav: Buaji plz.. Dont ask anything right now. I'll tell u what happened..
He tells them how he left the terrace,feeling dejected.
Arnav(clenches his teeth): When I confronted Shyam later on about the same, that bas**** told me that he doesnt love di. Di is coming between him & Khushi. When I told him that I'll destroy him & Khushi,he came to know that I've got the wrong impression.. That I felt that Khushi also loves him. He took advantage of that & told me..

Shyam: What will u do?U will destroy me,right? Even then u wont b able to destroy my love for Khushiji & her love for me! Before saying or doing anything,think about ur di's life.

Anjali wraps her arms tightly around him.
Arnav(breaks the hug): Di I.. didnt want u to be.. cheated by Shyam & Khushi the way maa had been cheated by.. dad & that woman... I didnt want to lose u,di..
Anjali wipes his tears): I understand. But Chhotey..
Arnav(interrupts): Apart from my fear,I was angry. I felt like killing Shyam coz he'd cheated u & all of us.(looks at Khushi) I was very angry on Khushi. I thought she was having an affair with Shyam despite knowing that Shyam is ur husband.. I started hating her the same way I hate the woman who ruined my maa's life! (through clenched teeth) Most of all,I was angry on my ownself,for fallin in love with a girl like Khushi!
Buaji: What do u mean by "a girl like Khusi"? My Khusi isnt that kind of a girl,u understand?

Khushi looks at Arnav who gives a small nod.
Khushi gingerly walks over to Nani & sits next to her.
Nani: Y did u go on the terrace that evening?
Khushi tells her everything-from Shyam's message on the mirror to the forced hug.
She even mentions the part that Arnav had missed,since he left the terrace.
Khushi: I wanted to tell Arnavji about Shyam.. But.. before I could say anything..

Nani: Y didnt u ask Chhotey as to y he's forcing u to marry him like that?
Khushi: I asked him many times,but he didnt reply.
Amma: Y didnt u tell me about it,bitiya?U couldve told anyone of us about it..

Anjali: Thats true! Chhoti always forgives Chhotey! Not only that,she defends him as well!
Arnav: I agree! Whatever I did/said to Khushi was very wrong. I'm really,very sorry! I'm sayin this to all of u-plz forgive me! If u want to punish me-I'm ready for that. But plz dont punish Khushi..
