SS : Recapturing Part 2
Arnav instantly pursued Khushi as she fled from the room...
"Khu...!"
Before he could call out to her, he ran into Payal...
"Arnavji? What happened? Are you ok?"
Arnav looked haphazardly behind Payal, watching Khushi as she walked downstairs.
"I...Khushi...I..."
Payal crossed her arms..."Have you both had a fight...AGAIN? Can't you both just..."
"No...no...It wasn't a fight..."
"Chote? Is Khushi ok?"
Anjali walked up to them...
"Anjaliji, I think they have had a 'disagreeable' day..."
Watching her brother closely, Anjali frowned..."Chote? Something happened, didn't it...? What's wrong..."
Listening carefully, his sister and Payal, who was practically his sister as well, began to understand what was wrong...
Arnav quietly and ashamedly retold the night he had driven Sheetal home, right up to the present day...
"Chote? You let this woman kis--"
"No Di, I didn't...I pushed away immediately...But I KNOW that she will mention it to Khushi as soon as she can..."
"Then tell Khushi yourself..." Payal insisted
"I JUST got her back...JUST...I don't want to lose her again..."
"Chote, you will if you lie to her..."
Silence.
"Fine. I will tell her, but Sheetal is out to seduce, and out to land a rich husband..."
"Well, let's plan a wedding fast then..." Payal exclaimed happily
Anjali soon joined in the excitement...
"NO! I told you both that Khushi wants to take things slowly...She doesn't want to have too much...overwhelm...her..."
His speech slowed as he thought of all that he had to tell her, and then all that would be happening at his office...
"She may seem like she's a bit lost...but really, she knows exactly what she wants...she is just afraid of losing it again..."
Arnav smiled slightly at Payal..."She won't lose me...but can't you both see...I'm afraid of losing her too?"

Arnav sat beside Khushi as they all had dinner.
He was jumping out of his skin at how beautiful she looked...
She looked gorgeous.
Tired, he could see it in her eyes.
He knew that his office work was demanding, and more than anything he wanted to marry her and give her a life of happiness and luxury...
But he knew how headstrong she could be...
She took all work with grace and without complaint, but she needed a break.
Still, despite the weariness, he couldn't get past how intoxicating she was...
The same Khushi that she had always been.
But now... Now she had an aura of strength.
Arnav was thankful that he was seated...because this woman...this childhood playmate...this best friend...this girl who held his heart...was making him insanely hard...
He was just merely sitting next to her, and the urge to pull her into his lap and kiss the hell out of her was becoming stronger and stronger...
Khushi slowly lifted her eyes to his and let their gazes linger...
Arnav felt like he couldn't breathe...
He quickly looked away and pulled at his collar...
"Chote? Are you alright?" Anjali inquired softly...
Arnav grimaced..."Yes, I'm..." he looked to Khushi once more..."I'm..."
Dropping everything, Arnav swiftly stood up, knocking his chair backwards...
Payal, Anjali and Khushi all instantly looked up...
He wiped his forehead with the palm of his hand, letting his hands then rest on his hips as he stared intensely at Khushi...
Khushi felt nervous...
Looking from left to right, she lifted her eyebrows in inquiry...
Arnav was growing more and more irritable and frantic by the second...
As the muffled voices of Payal and Anjali questioned them, Khushi saw the glint in his dark eyes and bit her lip...
That final movement sent his blood temperature soaring...
Khushi gasped as he saw her reach for her hand...
Payal and Anjali went immediately quiet as they watched in awe, as Arnav led her away faster than the speed of light...

Arnav could feel her tugging at her wrist...
Trying to break his hold...
Yet neither spoke.
Now, near the poolside, Arnav swung her around and steadied her by planting his hands firmly around her waist...
Holding onto his shoulders, Khushi angrily looked up at him, only to see his eyes closed tight...
Her scowl disappeared...
Gently and wistfully, her fingers slid up around his neck...
"Arnavji?"
His eyes stayed closed as he lowered his head...
Khushi's hands framed his face as she tried to get his attention..."Arnavji...What is wrong? What are you..."
"Forgive me...Please..."
If she were standing even an inch farther away, she wouldn't have heard him...
His voice was reverant and full of emotion...
"What? What do you mean?"
Her nerves twisted as he tightened his hold on her, as if whatever he was about to say would hurt her...
"No...No, I don't want to know...Just let me go..."
"NO Khushi...I won't allow secrets and lies into our life together...I can't..."
Khushi knew he was right, but still, she didn't want to hear what he wanted to say...
"She kissed me..."
His words numbed any other thought that screamed her name...
"SHE kissed ME...I feel sick just thinking of it...She was the only person I've ever taken to any function twice. It was only because she was there at the time of the manager asking me..."
Khushi watched as a single tear dripped from his eye...
"She began to question me...about my past...about why I am so...why I WAS so heartless..."
His grip on her waist became tighter...
Scared to let go...
Terrified that once he opened his eyes, she would be gone...
"I stopped her kiss instantly..." his voice hitched..."Please forgive..."

Afraid to say anymore, he slid the length of his arms around her...
Khushi breathed against his neck as she leaned into him..."I love you Arnavji..."
Lifting her head, she softly pressed her lips to his...
The move caught him by surprise, but it didn't take long for him to haul her against his body and kiss her like he wanted...
He opened his mouth and consumed hers in a teasing hot tangle of tongues...
The kiss changed from hungry, to seductive, and back to hungry again...
Khushi felt her head buzzing...
If Arnav didn't have such a tight hold on her, she knew she would have a hard time standing...
He kissed her with such ferocity that she could feel her legs giving out...
Finally he ripped his mouth from hers and said..."My God..."
That made Khushi smile, because she was thinking the exact same thing...
His hands were on her face, tilting her head back...
His burning gaze moved once again to her mouth...
Then his lips were on hers, giving her the sweetest gentlest kiss.
The wet glide of his lips and the possessive way his hand slid down the back of her neck, holding her in place, was sending sparks through her...
She didn't know how long they stayed like that...body to body...mouth to mouth...
By the time he had slightly released her, her breathing was choppy and she could barely concentrate...
Resting her cheek against his chest, she could hear his heart beating loud...
"I ran my fingers through your hair like this...on that last day we were together..." he said softly, stroking her hair...
"The last day..." she whispered...
Gripping her hair, he pulled her head back and curled his arm around her, imprisoning her once again...
"We are going to be married Khushi...THAT 'last day' from long ago...was NOT our last...I'm going to marry you..."
His eyes were staring straight into her soul...
"I'm going to make love to you..."
Her body began to tremble...
"I'm going to have a family with you..."
He leaned in closer...
"And we are going to grow old...together...together forever..."
As tears trailed down her cheeks, Khushi finally found her voice..."Promise?"
"I swear...I vow...I promise..."

Anjali looked up at her brother..."You're in a suspiciously good mood chote..."
Arnav smiled..."Why shouldn't I be...? I have the best sister in the world...I have Payal back to annoyingly reaffirm anything you say...and I have the most wonderful, crazy, beautiful..."
He stopped talking as his line of sight caught hold of the very thing he was naming...
Khushi walked slowly down the stairs, tucking strands of soft hair behind her ear...
As she approached, Anjali greeted Khushi..."Goodmorning Khushiji...How are you this morning...?"
Khushi turned smiling..."I'm fine Anjaliji...And you?"
Anjali smirked..."I'm trying to get my brother to finish his sentence, but he's completely frozen..."
Arnav cleared his throat..."Hi..."
"Hi..."
Anjali rolled her eyes and shook her head..."Hey Bhagwan...I can see that it's ALWAYS going to be like this between you two..."
Arnav glanced around and saw that Anjali had gone...
Stepping forwards he delicately traced his fingertips along her arms..."When?"
"Huh?"
"I want to marry you...right now..."
Khushi coughed as she laughed..."Right now? That's not really..."
"Then when?" he demanded, stepping forwards.
"Can we discuss this after work today?"
"You're still coming into work with me?" He inquired lifting one brow
Poking him in the chest, Khushi became stern..."If you think that I will stay here all day while THAT woman tries to seduce you then you are completely crazy Arnav Singh Raizada!!!"
She pulled away, only to be pulled back against him...
Only this time, they were much closer...
"Arnav Singh Raizada wants YOU by his side...all the damn time..."
He took advantage of the moment and gently pressed his lips to hers, teasing softly...
"This is going to be dangerous..." he murmured against her lips..."I don't know how I will keep my hands off you..."
"I don't want you to keep your hands off me..."
Arnav smiled at her sensually drugged reply...
Moving their bodies, he covertly pushed her up against the pillar...
He didn't make a move to kiss her...
He didn't make a move to speak...
He simply stared at her...
Eyes closed, Lips parted...
She was mesmerized in the moment...
Unable to hold back, he brought his hands to her face and said..."Khushi...I love you..."
Her eyes opened, and Arnav saw her answer...
"Khushi!? Arnavji!?"
Hearing Payal calling out, Khushi slid her palms up his chest ..."Arnavji...Jiji is calling us..."
He saw her lips trembling slightly and leaned down to kiss her once more..."Damn...your mouth drives me crazy..."
"There you both are!"
Springing apart, Khushi turned bright red as Arnav felt increasingly annoyed at them being interrupted...
"Here's is your lunch...Anjaliji and I are going to be spending the day out..."
Hearing that, Arnav began to smile...

"I know." Khushi said plainly
"He took me out TWICE!" she said, her anger rising...
"I know."
Sheetal smoothly stepped closer, the look on her face was vicious..."I have been the one around him...YOU haven't...He belongs to ME now! So you better just get your little second class head out of the clouds! He may have fallen for you for now, but He will be MINE! I know about his painful past, and If YOU think you will replace the girl he lost, then you are Crazy! Understand!?"
"How dare you speak that way to..."
Khushi's words were halted as Sheetal slapped her sharply across her cheek, making her cry out in pain...
Arnav heard her scream...
Automatically jumping to his feet, he rushed out of his office to find her...
