Suddenly Rey noticed the besan smeared on her face and moved his hand forward' Taani was startled at first. Rey too was lost in her eyes'

His hand moved and cupped her face, Taani's eyelashes shivered at his touch and his lips were trembling at his move. He ran his thumb on her face to clear the besan. He cleaned it smoothly running his thumb on her face when suddenly the doorbell rang.

It was Sharon. She came inside with a cake, chocolates and icecream in her hands. She had held all the stuff with quite difficulty, so Taani helped her.

Sharon and rey hugged her, and she was about to ask him at swayam's place, then she remembered something as Swayam honked the car.

"Okay..see you guys' I'm going with Swayam' actually I have to go to airport, my cousin is coming, and I've to receive him. Taani Swayam sent all this for you, as he said that you were a bit upset today'" Sharon said in a rush.

"How sweet of bhai'!" Taani felt happiness for having such a sweetheart brother.

"Hey' at least feed me a slice of cake before you leave'" Rey said and threw a pillow at Sharon.

Angrily she cut a piece of cake and threw at rey, but Taani become the victim.

"Oops I'm so sorry'" Sharon felt so much for her' but with a sweet smile she send Sharon convincing her, that she was perfectly fine.

"I am going to my room..." she glared at rey and went out angry leaving a bit guilty rey, who was cursing sharon for spoiling his romance, then he thanked her, as she was his enemy.

"Ouchh... ahhh...mummmy..." suddenly he heard Taani's voice...screaming out her lungs.

He was stunned... what could have happened...why did she screamed... gosh... his heart almost stopped beating, and he ran towards her room as if his own life is staked.

For a moment, he thought of knocking, but then he just pushed the door and entered.

The sight he saw in front of him... he was absolutely astonished... it would be an understatement.

Taani was crying as if she had faced the worst life can show everything, sitting on her bed, cuddled up and shivering from fear... fear was clearly evident from her scared eyes, which were shedding tears every moment.

Rey felt a bit embarrassed as she was... she was just wrapped in a towel, all wet, completely drenched and with conditioner in her hair, and face wash on her face. For a moment rey felt his lips dried out. But her scared, trembling face compelled him to go to her.

"Taani... what happened...? Why are you crying...?" As he moved to her bed, and placed his hand carefully on her bare shoulder.

Next moment she was in his arms, just like he has dreamt always...like two inseparable souls which would be always like this. With one another, in each other embrace forever... his heart always wanted this... he himself knew sometimes he just wanted to take her somewhere only they could lose them in each other.

But he didn't wanted to be it like this...when she is sub conscious... he separated her body from his, although he couldn't make taani's hands separate from the collars of his shirt, which had clutched it so tightly, as if she left them, she's gonna loose her dear life.

He took the bed sheet which was on her bed, and wrapped around her shivering body. Only then Taani came from her dream, but still her fear had overcome her senses...

Rey cupped her face in his hands, pressed gently her face comforting her, making her believe that she'll be alright as he's by his side always for her... whenever she would need him.

"What happened Taani??...why are you scared...?" he asked her.

"Wo...wo...wo...actually Rey..." Taani tried to answer but fear again made her shudder and she hugged rey for her dear life... and buried her face in the space between his shoulder and neck, where it fitted as if they both were made just for each other. She felt safe, secure... from everything, every fear... she clutched his body as closely as she could. She felt he's her shield, where she could seek protection whenever she need.

Rey hugged her back, convincing her..."Taani...I'm here...for you... just...just tell me..."

Taani, answered in a scared voice... "Wo...wo...wo rey actually...there is a... a ce'...cent...centipede in the bathroom..." as tears were still rolling down her cheeks.

"WHAT??" Rey almost lost his sanity.

"Yep'... I'm really scared of centipedes'...and it's so'horrible'" she answered through her sobs.

Next moment'... Rey couldn't help his laughter...he burst out laughing maniacs. But when he saw Taani'... he still couldn't feel but sorry' she looked so cute' so beautiful'... she was his tempting angel.

"Okay...I'll go and check...okay..don't worry'...please calm down." Rey looked at her and checked out her bathroom, came out and said... "look it's not anywhere now... so you can go inside... you may catch a cold if you spent few more moments so wet...

Now Taani got back to her senses.. her eyes couldn't lift from floor... and now her embrace with rey, she felt him on her body, as if his smell, his essence was mixed in her soul. She just ran to the bathroom and closed the door behind her.
