Today's update can be described by the word "stymied". It is an update which shows the innate character of NK as well as Aarti.

The proposal of NK left Aarti dumbfounded. NK not one to let go of the chance, resorts to the age old tradition of convincing the unconvinced, before she resorts to the usage of words.

"A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous" ~ Ingrid Bergman

He gives her, Her First Kiss, a mind boggling one, that leaves her all the more stunned!

"The sound of a kiss is not so loud as that of a cannon, but its echo lasts a great deal longer" ~ Oliver Wendell Holmes

This is what she felt with Her First Kiss and it was echoed in him too.

"Love is like the wind, you can't see it but you can feel it"

Even before knowing that the mechanic was a girl. NK had fallen in love. Without seeing the person he had felt it!

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage" ~ Lao Tzu

Plucking up the courage from the strength of his love, NK queries her about her name, family but comes up with a naught. She thwarts his moves to get to know her. She wants to know why?

"One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving "

When without batting an eyelid his reply is to print in their wedding invitation she is confounded. He says he fell in love with her.

"I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you" ~ Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets

Seeing that still she is unconvinced he says even the loose garments of the mechanic couldn't camouflage her identity from his mind-eye though it did hide from his sight. Hearing his explanation she bursts into a fit of laughter.

"If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything"

Her heartfelt laughter evokes a smile from NK. Controlling her giggle she asks whether he doesn't have inhibitions to marry a chauffer? His reply that he doesn't mind marrying even one who is also a mechanic i.e. Jane of all trades evokes curiosity in her as to what his family would have to say about this.

His reply that they'll think her to be the ying for his yang gets her worried. She is in a dilemma. She likes him, yet she doesn't want to. When her Surajmukhi still persists to know the name of his Pranasakhi, she relents and tells him its "Eeiyaam" in Buaji's accent leaving NK stupified.

But NK is still unfazed. He asks her as to when he could meet her parents. When refused he says then he'll take her to meet his Bhabhi's - Kushi and Payal which she refuses. Vivek's call to NK making him to attend some work brings some relief to Aarti. But before going like a petulant child he lists out all the things she refused to do when he asked. Though she refused, she still felt a lump in her throat for refusing him. As a parting shot he drops a bombshell on her.

"Then, will you kiss me?"

"People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.

Arnav Singh Raizada met his true soulmate in Kushi. She is now the most important person in his life.

But will Aarti realize that NK is her soulmate as he is penetrating the fortress she has built around her and bringing the awareness of herself and helping her to change? Right now she is flummoxed! Stumped by his persistence! Confounded by his audacity! He is frustrated by her response! Impeded by her unwillingness! That's why this update can be termed STYMIED.

"What is your name?", he asked again when he got his breath & senses back.

"Jaankar kya karoge?", she asked, her voice shaky, but her chin up in the air.

"I can print it in the wedding invitation."

She glared at him, trying to be angry.

"Who said I will marry you?"

"I know you will." The cute dimple on his chin made him more devastating to her self-control. "Mujhe pyaar ho gaya he."

Finally she asked, softly, without any anger, "You want to marry a chauffeur?"

"Who is also a mechanic."

"What will your family say?", she was casually curious.

"They will say Rab Ne Bana Di Joru for me. Because I am hopeless at repairing things." NK smiled sweetly.

"One's not half of two; two are halves of one" ~ E.E.Cummings.

This is what NK meant. They each are part and together they make a whole. They complement one another.

You won't marry me...", NK said sadly, sounding exactly like a kid who had had his balloon blow up right in his face and was left with just the rubber bits in his hands.

Aarti nodded with difficulty, swallowing a big ball that seemed to be lodged in her throat.

"Then, will you kiss me?"

A perfect relationship is two people never giving up on each other.NK is trying his best to make her change her mind. He is trying to break the wall with his persistence.
